Keeps unsyncing from Google fit so frustrating I'm not getting my points because app will not work properly. I'm in a work competition and so much for getting credit for that either. Syncing my Samsung watch is not an option because you can't use health sync to get credited either.
I only use this app because of my employer's health care package. One of the easiest ways to get points is thru the annual Vitality sleep challenge. But the app CRASHES everytime I chose the "sleep well" menu option. I checked online and it said that Android users also need to have Google Fit installed. I have Google Fit, it is connected to this app, there are no further instructions on how to complete the sleep challenge using Fit or this app. This has been happening since January at least.
I am trying to record my sleep and the app is not opening. This is doing the opposite of getting a good night sleep when I have to be frustrated this way. I'm on day 7 in a row and need these 300 points by month end and can't start over. Someone must give me credit for tonight if this app continues not to work.
This app is not optimized to work very well with Samsung phones. I can't use the Samsung health app to sync to the app and even then when I try syncing it with Google fit it still has issues. The overall interface is ok but it is an issue that it can't work with Samsung products.
The app is fine, but I can't give it 5 stars until it synchronizes steps data with Samsung Health. Samsung Health and Google Fit don't communicate with eachother. The HealthSync app can do this but it is not always accurate and it requires a money to make it work. Once Vitality works with Samsung Health I will update my rating - until then...it is only worth 2 stars.
Work sponsors a vitality plan and the app is quite nice. It motivates you to get into the gym. There's a bug with the workout tracker where you have to open the app to submit the workout, but it's not major.
It's missing half the experience of the website but the biggest issue is that syncing with Google fit is incredibly intermittent.
Since the multi factor sign in activated, I keep getting log out though I choose the log in automatically option. Some info in the new feeds are useful (thank you) but the links or videos they added to those feeds sometimes do not work or not available or even required subscription.
I wouldn't use this app if it wasn't for my employer incentive. This app doesn't work with the most widely used fitness apps for runners or cyclists. You have to use Google Fit and Vitality doesn't even work well with Google Fit. When it doesn't download your workout or activity, Vitality tech support tells you to uninstall and reinstall. It's unfortunate because this app can be a very good motivator for healthy living. The tech problems overshadow that. Uninstalling and reinstalling, again.
When it works it good. Biometric login would be a great upgrade since the app randomly logs me out every other week. I have to reset passwords so often I don't even know if it's really worth it most of the time.
I bought a Samsung watch 4 classic, and it doesn't recognize steps used with the watch. So unless you carry your phone everywhere you go good luck. I lose about 8,000 steps every time i jog, which is 3 times a week. Total BS.
Doesn't sync with Samsung Health, tried to sync it via Google fit, but it won't count the steps.
This apps is worthless if you are a samsung person. Says it will sync but it wont. Impacts my health premiums and should not advertise what they cant deliver. Have to reinstall app to sync every few days. Ridiculous. Note update 1/19- google fit is getting my info. Your response is not helpful. So if google fit has my steps, then conclusion is your app functionality is not as you state.
No Samsung Health Support is inexcusable for Android devices considering the user base of Samsung watches. Even worse, using the Health Sync app to Google Fit to get around this also does not record data in Vitality. Once support is added I will revise, but this is a major pain point for many since employer health plans are tied to this app.
App won't load and doesn't give a reason other than try again. Internet is working, phone restarted, and when trying to get points for employment related cost savings, I can't record consecutive days in a row. Frustrating.
What a waste of my time. The app is not syncing to Google Fit for a month now and customer service is not helping me at all. They keep saying uninstall and reinstall but nothing is happening. Then they asked me to send screen shots of the activity so they could manually award the points and still haven't awarded it! Only sticking with this because I basically have to through my job. Not pleased at all.
After having syncing and login issues, I was able to figure out the issue. My ad blocker was blocking the app. Everything works now.
Super confusing, not user friendly and is Samsung the device not compatible? I can't optimize work outs and no points when I do. Just want my employer Vitality to work. Terrible!!!
I have used this app for a little over a year. I enjoy the goal setting options. Vitality today is full of information that helps me stay motivated and aware of better health options.
They finally appear to have fixed the sync issue with Google Fit.
It's a good over all app. But it lacks on options were you can only connect with certain devices / smart watches. So if you dont have the right one with this app and you want to be connected you have to go out and get / buy another watch. And there are certain areas in the app were you can collect points and if you do it doesn't rest till the next year like the sleep option. I think it should reset every month .
Work it works, it works great. However, that rarely happens. It has a very hard time syncing with Google fit. Not sure why. It never gets my steps right. In order for it to register me having 15000 steps, I sometimes have to get 19-20000 steps. Missed out on a lot of points because of this. I'm constantly having to delink from Google fit it even uninstall and reinstall the app. Sometimes that works for a while, but doesn't last that long before having to do it again....
Can't sync data from other smartwatch via Google fit. I just bought a new amazfit watch and was able sync data to Google fit. But Vitality could not pick up those data from Google fit for some reasons. Now I am not able to contribute to my excercise points. Please enable it as many of us use different smartwatches other than fitbit.
