VivaVideo Pro: HD Video Editor

For a video editing app, it definitely is rather cool. I only have a few minor issues. The 1st one is that when editing a video, there is no option to put an image on a video. I found it by accidentally clicking on "?" icon. From there you have to choose collage. My second quibble is adding text to videos, it's hard to line up where text ends and one begins, if on the editing tool they are all on 1 line. But otherwise it's an excellent app for $5 bucks

I am a filmaker. The video software was great in the begining. I didnt mind paying the monthly subscription whatsoever, however, this latest update ruined everything. Now, half the time, i cannot get the app to open and when I do, the thumbnails dont even show when trying to add videos. What was great is becoming useless. Hopefully they will fix their mistakes in a day or two... If not, I will cancel my subscription.

I used to love this app and have used it for years. However, the free version has options that you don't get on the paid one which seems ridiculous. All of a sudden it switches languages. My biggest issue though is now I've installed it on my new phone, it zooms in automatically with no way to change it. It's also blurry. I know it's the app, because my phone camera works fine. I don't know what they messed up, but the developers are slacking.

make the speed setting actually work and I'll change my review to more stars. i paid money for this app to specifically use the speed setting option and the video becomes extremely choppy. it doesn't work at all. i don't think it's too much to ask you to provide your customers with content you've guaranteed works. either fix the horrible chopiness or refund my money. it would also be cool to choose where in the video you want to speed up or slow down. kind of a no brainer feature.

it's a good editing app but lacks some features, the new update allows the option for music to not fade in and out which I'm very happy about. However I would highly appreciate it if that was applicable to text as well since the fade in isn't convienient when the text needs to be displayed for a short period of time, for example subtitles, they are difficult to read quickly if they constantly fade in to appear on the screen. If you could add this option I would appreciate it, overall great app!

Update : new bug fix didn't fix the export problem. Had to switch to another editor and may do so permanently. . I love this app but since I upgraded to android 11 I can no longer export videos. I've read this is been for a few months now. Maybe time to look for a new video editing app. Been using the Pro version for many, many years. Should be able to report a app that doent work and have it removed after a certain period of inactivity in regards to updates to fix it

Nothing can be worse than painstakingly spending hours upon hours editing a video only to later find that you cannot export, save, move, copy, or share the file...Just like the color of my face, it happened outta the blue. Terribly disappointed. Emailed the developer and was told I would have to wait for the update to fix the issue. No word as to when this will be... Promptly uninstalled.

I love this app for editing montages for YouTube, the only thing I would say could be better is cutting clips. Right now you have to drag the little bar to where you think you want it and adjust it from there. I would like it so much better if there was an option to put in the minutes/ seconds you want it to go to. I feel this would make this more precise and look cleaner

Very good video editor overall. I have personally been using it to edit YouTube videos but have also noticed that it lacks a few features that I find essential. The ability to overlay your own GIFs, Images and Videos over your video. The ability to zoom on on video clips. The ability to make text move about the screen while the videos play. All these are great features that could but added but overall your video editor is the best I have used so far!

I've been using this product for years. The reasons I bought it were its good capabilities, qualities,features, and the variety of effects & filters, all of which looked perfect for today's standard professional video editor. But now it spoils my excitement in editing video for the absence of Crop Tool -- a basic, main, and important tool in movie editor/production. Other drawbacks are no Timeline Editor which makes work easier and no option for 1080p res; but I do appreciate for the 4K support

This is a nice app for editing video. I only use it to clip videos together, and then export them for upload to YouTube, etc. However, I have deducted 2 stars from my review because this app only exports to 720p resolution. Today's phones record up to 4k resolution, so this is pretty useless, unfortunately, and the app needs to be updated to export to higher resolutions before I will be able to use it again.

When editing videos, my music and video looks and sounds fine... But after exporting them, the audio from the music gets delayed and some of the audio from my videos also get delayed... I tried to restart my phone and re-export the video many times but same problem!! So, i tried editing my videos on other video editing apps like KineMaster and had no such issues... It's frustrating to see this problem after paying for the pro version!! Unless the issue is fixed ... I won't give this app 5 stars.

Have had this for a few years now and have been happy with it until recently. I can no longer select photos from my phone or anywhere else. I select "photos" when I want to add and it only shows videos. The collage option doesnt work at all. Doesn't allow me to see any photos or videos anywhere. Will these issues be fixed? I paid for the Pro edition. If not, I will have to find another app. Because this one is currently no use to me if I cannot even select the videos or photos for a project

I've been using this app for years, downloaded it in 2015 while I was on a deployment in Bahrain. This app has turned into garbage. They took away functions and streamlined the look to try be soft and bubbly for your eyes. It's definitely some Chinese junk because it doesn't survive a data transfer correctly like all my other apps. Turns out they don't buy a lot of phones and transfer data under communist regimes.

After spending 3-5 hours editing a video, I wake up and open the app to continue my editing, only to find, everything I've done IS GONE. NO WHERE TO BE FOUND. Ive owned this app for years and it hasn't done this, all of a sudden I'm working on a video for the span of 3 days and it disappears, dont waste your time, that's apparently all I did.

Great app. But sometimes the contents suddenly changes to chinese which i don't understand. I have to exit out and go in the apps again. Should have a settings that we can choose whether we want it to be in english or other language. Would also appreciate if there is a blur/mosaic function while editing video to cover some unwanted background throughout the whole video editing.

Pro version does an easy job but don't expect to be blown away. Some of the settings and options can be hard to use when navigating through the app. I suggest you always go to Settings / Preferences knowing what resolution you would like your Video project to be displayed when finalising. Simple effects with confusing options. Cheap, does the job if it's not a super important project.

The app used to be really good but suddenly the features went missing. I had sent in 2 emails more than a week ago with the issues of missing features but have yet to receive any replies. There is VIVAVIDEO without PRO and all features are in...Honestly it doesnt make sense why is this so...Please make it good again! Upgrades are meant to make things better and not worst..If not I would appreciate that it be reinstate back to before the upgrade. Thank you!

Love the many functions of this app. What I cant appreciate is that it constantly and randomly changes languages from English to, Im assuming Chinese. The language of the prompts. So I lose content and have to start my project over. By the time Im almost finished with the re-do...Im nearing completion and I run in to more Chinese instructions. Up until that final point I had remembered that on the right was an affirmative, and to the left was 'quit'. But some are opposite. Over it!

overall the app is decent. i like the way the layout is and everything. but that all doesnt matter when i have a video saved in my drafts and then one day any videos saved under my drafts are wiped out and deleted with the message saying "no video has been created yet" this has happened even on the regular free vivavideo app and i was hoping it wouldnt with this one since i paid for it. all the features are great but again it doesnt matter if i have to hope a video i really need just disappears

I tried several apps for creating slideshows, and this app is by far the best. There are some issues that are missing, for example ability to search the local disk for specific background music file (its not easy to scroll thousands of files in search for the right one). Also cant import files directly from my Google account (Google photos). Still this is great app that easily let me create stunning slideshow.

its a very good editor, it cuts clips, adds multiple songs, has plenty of effects & themes to choose from, you could practically create whole music videos, documentaries & short movies on here. everything is top quality & will for sure satify the average choreographer. the only problem i have is saving my work. Yes it can be saved as a draft but it'll delete or remove my unfinished work a day after even attempting to complete it & after purchasing the whole program i just find it unfair for me.

I've had this app for a few years and its always been an easy quick app to whip up a small vid or two. But I've just gone to use it again and all the writing is in Chinese & I'm not clued up with the chinese language. No issue if you know how to read the language but I don't! So its an issue!! Please fix this problem. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app and still its doing the same thing.

No 1080p export!? Only 720p. Huge drawback. Aside from that it's a versatile app with great trimming and cropping features. Easy to add transitions! So many great options. It would be helpful to be able to adjust the volume of a particular clip of an overall edit, but that's okay.

this is the only app for android that allowed me do a great movie with videos and photos combined. the only thing i couldn't do is use two songs during one movie and i also wanted the music to fade at the end and gradually stop and i was unable to do that too. overall it's a great app.

I've been using the pro version for more than a year now. And I'm looking for other options because some things are bothering. Main reason is that you can't save in 1080p HD. You might think it should be possible in this era, but this app doesn't has no significant improved since its launched
