This app works great with the old Go!Control system. Only time I've had an issue was after a long power outage which knocked my Z-wave devices offline. We couldn't get off resolved over the phone but the tech that came to the house easily got things working again. This is no where near as fancy as the new Smart Hub and app that goes with it. However, my family feels safe and have had a pretty good overall experience with Vivint.

The app is not compatible with newer phones. I contacted Vivint and have been troubleshooting for 5 days since getting a replacement phone of the same kind with the same service provider (Verizon). Even if I use the browser on my PC, I am unable to control anything (a/c temp, alarm arm and unarm, or my locks). I am going to request a free upgrade due to this! This is crazy!

App worked great . Now not working. I've done everything I was supposed to do to get app back running. Uninstalled and installed several times, called tech support 3 times, but still not working. I see all the reviews and no responses from Vivint. Extremely disappointed in the app and the lack of customer service. Will probably cancel and go with another company who has technical support available in the area i live in.

This app used to worked great. About a month ago a bug got in to their app of some sort and I am unable login. It says the the username and password are not correct and yet I can login on the site with the same credentials. I chatted with vivint support and that was 2hrs of my life I will never get back. So frustrating to tell an agent everything I have tried only to have them tell me to do the same things. Such a waste of time. Having no app access makes having a security system tortuous to use.

This android app doesn't work from my cellphone. I just acquired the services in the last two weeks. At first it worked, then it stopped. Same issues username and password don't match. Not true because, I haven't changed anything since installing and creating password, and my email address certainly has not been changed. I am already frustrated with this inability of customer service to fix this issue. The problem isn't my cellphone, it's the freaking app needs a lot of work. Fix it.

Panel upgrade completely shut down my whole system, a technician "fixed it" but I had a notification on the app that my panel was in duress. Called to have that fixed because the whole system was not working, they did two resets and told me the second reset would take a half hour to resolve. Nothing is working and to cancel I am to email for a cancellation and that may take up to 30 days and of course my monthly payment came out of my account today, for what? I have been a customer for 9 years!

Haven't been able to access or use the app for ages. It literally won't allow a log in...it let's you back into an auxiliary site but doesn't allow any sort of control of system. 100% worthless. I've tried on 3 different android phones so it's not the phone. I've tried support and no better luck.

I have had this system since 2013. It was working fine. Now I can't log on to the app. Says user name and password combo are incorrect. I called tech support and they said there is something wrong with app to give them some time. Almost a week later still can't log on. Not only has the problem affected the app but I cannot login from a computer either. And now I feel like I'm paying for something that can't be used to it's full potential.

Top many issues with Vivint. Cannot get app to work on my Samsung Nook Tablet , keeps saying password or user are incorrect . So deleted app and reinstalled. Now says cannot connect to my servers check my connection yet can get into internet.Will not call Vivint to help anymore. When we had to change totes first time they sent tech out to reconnect cameras and he noticed wires on HUB not been connected by them when they installed system. this app crashed Each time I open it. I have called about this app so many times and they tell me to make sure my phone is updated. I have the note 8 and it's always updated. Yet, vivant makes sure they have their money each month from me for an app that works 10%of the time . I'm switching to ring with all 4 of my houses !

You have to pay for everything with Vivint. You have to pay for installation (included in the pricey equipment). If one of your equipment is faulty they would replace it for free, but it's not always that way. Long list of negative experience. You're better off going with Protect America or Ring. I will be switching to Ring soon, only $10 per month with NO contract instead of Vivint's $50/month with 5 year contract. PA is $20/month w/ 3 yr contract.

HORRIBLE! One star is too high a rating. Started out good and loved it. Now it doesn't work at all. App software hasn't been updated/upgraded in over two years. Can't do anything from the phone. Don't waste your storage on this app!

app only works part of the time. camera picks up every breeze movement of limbs or a wasp flying by, but someone can get into vehicle and drive away and all I get on video is back of vehicle. Nov will be when contract is up and I cannot wait to be finished with them. Poor customer service.

They need to add a panic button to the app. Imagine a client is upstairs and the panel is downstairs. I have my phone, and the alarm is currently disarmed. if an intruder breaks in, it would be great to be able to set off the alarm.

I also upgraded phones and am disappointed to find out the app does not work well on the new device. My problem is that the app does not last my phone for the push notifications. I can use the app to still turn my alarm on and off, but that's about it.

I used to be able to zoom in and go side to side, can't do that any more. Constantly have issues with connectivity and the cameras actually picking up movement. I've had to reset th system and cameras more times than I can count, and it hasn't even been a year yet

Terrible Customer service. I re-added the Vivint Classic app to my phone and it totally doesn't work. I called customer service for 5 times and stayed on the phone for hours...and they couldn't help. I see why people are leaving Vivint and going with another service. This is TERRIBLE.

Control options are very basic. Should be able to fully control system, not just adjust temperature, lock/unlock doors, and arm/disarm alarm. Thermostat schedule does not work. Have to program schedule on thermostat for scheduling to work. Basically you should be able to do everything you can do on website on the app.

Vivint's shift to app only to modify one's account is kludgy, glitchy, and utter garbage. Their 'support' emails link to a 404, and the website only shows the most basic of account info. We plan to move to another service provider as soon as our contract is up.

I got a new smartphone and suddenly the app wasn't working. I got the run around until someone finally admitted that android v.10 is too advanced for the existing app and they will not be updating it. So if you're waiting for that, stop waiting. It isn't going to happen. Disappointing after paying all this money for all these years only to find they don't care.

Login issues are not conveniently resolved. My username and password works on the web site, but not in the app. Clicking "login help" in the app gives a spinning wheel. Troubleshooting suggestions such as uninstalling and reinstalling the app do not work. Instructions to reset password at the alarm web site do not work.

I too upgraded my phone yesterday and realized that this Vivint classic app no longer works on my new phone. Just some advice to anyone who's as frustrated as I am, you can always login to Vivint via the Internet and control your dashboard panel. It only took me about 60 seconds to log in and control my panel.. Keep this app downloaded on your phone, this way you can still receive your notifications and alert that you have set up in your panel.

I love this app for the ability to control basic functions of my system, but the one thing it lacks is the ability to create and edit all schedules, not just for the thermostat. Add those features and it'll be a 5-star app.

No longer viable for Samsung galaxy edge 6 +. Was told by vivint they are working on an update to fix glitch. Nature of glitch is that the older version recognized username & password. This version does not and shows up at vivint hq as being one of two households.

I have been a customer for 6 years. I do not recommend vivint. Their customer service is terrible. Once my contract is up I will not be going back. My friends and family who were customers too have also not had good experiences. The batteries on all sensors are 40$ for a package of 10 and they only last a few months, add that into your monthly alarm bill. Works out to be over 50$ a month.

For everyone saying the app doesnt work youre not wrong. ADT security bought out Vivint in 2016 i think and since about mid 2016 the app hasnt been working which we all would have received an email about. if you havent seen it it pretty much says that we just have to download the adt security app amd log in as per normal and that should help with your issues.

Notification reset on panel only. I'd like to be able to see and turn off notifications in app. The panel won't stop beeping unless you reset it on the panel. As a mom of two small children it's difficult to get to sometimes and the beeping wakes people up.
