Vivitar 360 App

Simply does not work. I could use phone as a remote, but could not download photos or videos. And uploading to social media was totally out of the question. Quality of photos on phone was very poor. Controls were extremely clunky and unpredictable. Stitching of photos looked poor. I am returning the Vivitar 360 camera and deleting to app.

This app does not allow downloading of pictures or video to phone as advertised. It does allow remote connection to 360 cam via android and use of your phone as a remote viewfinder with the ability to trigger the camera video start and stop, or picture taking. You cant take your shots off the camera via this app. Looks like development has been abandoned. Like most things these days, bait an switch, nothing is as advertised, very surprising from a big company like vivitar. I will be returning it.

I have a OnePlus 6T seeing the same issue everyone is reporting. App opens to a white screen. No user interface - nothing. I had not used my 360 camera in a while but I use to not have any problems with the app before. Now that I'm hearing on a trip I was really looking forward to using it again.

Like so many others, I can control my DVR978HD just fine with this app, but when it comes time to review my footage or photos, I get stuck at a perpetual loading screen. Please fix this, Vivitar. I want to love the camera, but your software won't let me!

i recieved a Vivitar DVR 978 HD 360 camera for Christmas and was very excited to play around with both the canera and the recommended app. The app connects to the camera most of the time, but I do have a number of issues - some already addressed by other reviews, some recommended improvements. cannot view or download files to phone (Galaxy Note 9) no real camera control be nice to have a time lapse function cant download editor from Vivitar site

Garbage App. I just put it in a Nexus 6p, connected to the brand new cameras WiFi, and no connectivity. DVR978HD. The app tells me to connect to the cameras WiFi while it's connected already. Nothing on the app functions.

Same problem as everybody else. All I'm getting is a white screen. So, "Come on Vivitar"! Please fix this problem. It makes using the 360 camera easier to use. I've tryed both vivitar 360 apps and both will not open on my phone. And yes it is a new phone. PS, Is there a alternative app you can use with this camera?

App doesn't work. White screen appears and glitches the phone. The back button doesn't work while the white screen is on. Unacceptable; to say the least!

It allows to change settings and live stream, but downloading from or browsing camera is not working. It just makes you wait infinitely without any diagnostic message.

This app was working fine with my 360 camera until an auto update today, which now does as others have stated : just displays a white screen. I am using one of the most popular cell phones in use today, so there is no excuse for it not to work. Vivitar cannot claim the problem to be from use of obscure hardware with their app. Vivitar, fix your software, and I will update my rating. Why do companies build such wonderful gadgets, and then fall short on the equally important software?

cant view 4k videos at all on 4k displays, just shows blank screen, app is very clunky and will not load any photos or videos regardless if its hd or 4k. wished this worked correctly but it just doesn't.

Not working on latest andriod version. Their camera compatibility is from android 4 and up. They should update the app compatibility if they will continue to sell their 360 action camera, otherwise their action camera is such a waste of money, a useless device.

Version 1.3.25 works well with the dvr 988 hd camera on my android 8 htc 10. Version 2.0 will not display any files or camera view on my android 9 htc 12+. The wireless connection connects but the app wont connect or allow viewing

Fix the damn app! White sceen is all i get. 0 stars if it let me. Contacted them, they recommed trying another of their apps and that one is for old andriod version. They then said they will let me know when it works. Its been months. Guessing no intent to fix. New cam seems to be fix if you want to use with phone.

I can't get this camera to work , it's on and the drone fly's great but I can't get the camera to go , that internet that's giving SKEYE-Wi-Fi -4A10DA it's not working right or not letting me log on .. I did once but it's not letting me I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong.. Any help???

i cant tell if it does take videos or pictures because it wont allow me to see the work ive done connects fine to wifi and connects to my phone fine but will not show or upload or download anything just gives the endless loading sign

Will not let me view even after connecting. Says no support when wifi is off and I'm trying to record without the app. Disappoint is an understatement

the app constantly crashes and only works with the vivitar 360 camera 10% of the time. the camera quality looks like it was filmed on a potato.

I would give 0 stars if I were able. App is absolutely unusable with Android 10. As there's no updates, seems Vivitar is lacking in support and doesn't support their customers. I won't be buying Vivitar products here on out.

Continuous loading screen, doesn't save any actual data. Please update the app so it is functional!

Works flawlessly. However, From one developer to another. Believe me, Google constantly changing android every freaking week is annoying to say the least. Honestly your best bet would be a direct ip connection via a custom browser. This way in a week, when Google changes android for the 20th time. It won't matter, because the ip connection and html5 will remain the same. Plus people could share the url stream in posts, live. Just a thought.

Won't run on any of my device! It opens to a white screen and stays there. I was so looking forward to this camera. Very disappointed.

connects to phone Samsung s5 active but I'm trying to download or view my vids and pics just doesn't work. They need to update this app or something.

Just got a Vivitar 1008HD 360 View, went to download the app and nothing but a blank white screen appeared. After reading through a few comments, I'm thinking maybe I should just get an SD card and not try anything from my phone.

Camera view on app works. Cannot access files on camera, just keeps on loading. Crappy cam and crappy app. Waste of money on the camera. Garbage.

Software never loads. Causes phone and camera to lock up. Others uses warned of this. Now camera is basically worthless.
