VIVITAR AEROVIEW

Worked right out of the box! The only issue I have is when I'm doing way points. I want the google map to display satellite. I can get satellite view when I hit the map settings but when I go to way point, it's the default road view. I need to know where the trees are when I'm setting GPS way points. Just a good idea. Don't want a George of the jungle experience. If your not familiar with George of the jungle, just google the theme song. LOL

I downloaded it, and followed instructions. It claims it is installed on my device, but is NOT! I can not find any trace that it was ever downloaded on my phone, in any folder. Now, I can not download it again, because it claims it is already downloaded and installed. Without the app, camera is utterly useless! That is the entire reason for buying the drone! NOT HAPPY! Edit: I eventually got it to show up on me phone. It works... Bt as noted elsewhere, there is little to no info on using the GPS features. It tells you how to get the drone to "see" the GPS, and that's as far as they went. I have a lot of trouble seeing the info such as distance and altitude,m etc. There is TOO much clutter onscreen! I don't care about the latitude and longitude... I KNOW where I am! Save that space and make it so the USEFUL info can be seen.

The app works really Great depending on your device I use a Galaxy a10 S10 and S9 edge and all have worked flawlessly. I cannot get my map within the app to show satellite view When using app to control .When connected to the drone via Wi-Fi my device will not display the map .other than that its great. And FYI so far I've been able to control 3 aero views simultaneously with one remote! "one remote to rule them all" Power each 1 up 1 at a time calibrated and sync And bam !

This app used to work great but then about 2 months ago it quit working. It won't open anymore. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling it 3 times. I've contacted the creator and Vivitar. Only Vivitar responded and they said they would work on it and get back to me. I haven't heard anything else since. It's really unfortunate because the drone works great and the app no longer does and they don't seem to know why.

Awesome app and the drone works amazingly especially for the price I would absolutely recommend it to friends. For those who can't figure out how to connect the drone to the WiFi you probably don't need to have one anyways of that's the case because my 9 year old had it connected and flying with ease in less than 3 minutes and that's including calibration of all it's features. It's very simple and instructions are in the thing called the owner's manual which is supplied with the machine

Figured out a trick to get it to work. Like a lot of people on here, I couldn't get the drone to connect with my phone in the app. Very frustrating. Go into WIFI on phone, tell it to forget the drone's WIFI connection. Next time you connect to the drone WIFI wait for the no internet message to pop up but this time do not check the box to "never as me again". You will have to do this every time you connect but you will be able to use the drone like you want.

A forum would help on the learning curve. emergency off button combo saved my bacon on attempted indoor flight. My Droid was not fond of the wireless connection to drone w/ no internet. The order you turn on stuff matters:. i connected the phone first and then could not add remote. The drone survived this learning curve, Headless mode helped my first flights.

I think this app works great for the drone. For the people that do not know how to connect to the drone, turn on the drone then go to your WiFi settings on your device and then you connect to it WiFi. Then you sould get a notification or if not then go to your settings again and then see if it says "This WiFi has no internet connection would you like to stay connected" or something in the line of that. Then press yes and go into the app and your set! You can learn the controls pretty easy they also have it were you can control the drone from your phone!

This app is straight up garbage. So is the drone. Waste of eighty (80) bucks. It always takes a long time to connect the drone and phone, plus the fact that the controller never works. Even once it does work, it not only runs out of battery in like five (5) minutes, but it keeps going in the direction you move it to and stays like that until it crashes. My drone is broken because of this. NEVER again. Do NOT waste your money.

I lose the picture signal at about 200 feet occasionally it'll return if I bring the drone closer to me, it still works way past that point but keep an eye on it. Controls work fine. But losing the camera is the only reason I give 2 stars. Fix the range and it's a solid 5 stars.

Doesn't work. I've messed with it for over an hour now and it connected exactly one time. WiFi signal is connected, drone works with the remote, not sure what the issue is but it's a waste of my time and going back.

App used to be a good one to control the DRC-446 drone but after the last update, I guess everyone who has it, except for some IOS users, the app crashes everytime its opened. I've emailed the company and tried the support page, but nobody seems to be interested in fixing the problem. I'm gonna buy a different drone.

I've been flying r/c heli's for 20 years and I wanted to fly a drone, so bought the Aeroview yesterday and not only does the app not work, but the return home doesn't work either! It goes crazy like it's hunting for home so I had to land it manually and wont shut down after landing. I called Vivitar about the app and they said they just found out about the problem "yesterday" and that it will be fixed this Tuesday. Needless to say, this garbage is being returned for a refund!

Drone is amazing and flies very stable. App is the problem! I connect to Skyview WiFi and app doesn't connect. I got it to connect once and that was it. APP NEEDS MAJOR UPDATE!

This app was not working from the startup. I called support which I tried talking to someone that I could not even understand to finally get told that the app was being worked on and it might take 3-4 days. Now its day 4 and still no app. I can still fly but taking a risk of losing the $200 I paid for the drone because they are only selling part of the product.

This app was great when i first downloaded it but now i cant get it to open because there is somthing wrong with the last update. I have made several attempts to reach out to the developer but still no resolution after several weeks

Idk how much of it actually works because there is ZERO instructions on how to use the gps waypoints, (how to use the gps at all for that matyer), how to put the drone in and out of gps mode, nothing at all in either the owner's manual (which is TERRIBLE) or on the app of how to use this drone. Nothing on their website and only 2 totally useless youtube videos from vivitar. So does this app work? No one knows, because no one knows how to fully use it.I do know that satellite view for the gps map doesn't work. That the gps accuracy check doesn't work. Tell people how to use your drone's features.

Not impressed with the app on my android phone but now on my daughter's iPad it works great if it worked on both and does as good as it does on my daughter's iPad I would give it a 5 star rating but until they correct it on my android phone I will stay with the 1 star so to the people who made this app fix the problem and then I will change my rating. Thanks

This app has never worked in the 2years I've had my drone. I've tried every tip and trick that any have suggested, and nothing works to connect the phone to the drone. Terrible app!

Can't get it to connect I tried everything in the book to get it to connect to the drone, always asking to connect when I am connected to the drone. Trash. If theres another app for drones il take it over this one. Im tired of trying.

If it was possible to give no stars I would. Extremely dissatisfied with this product. Fix the app or stop selling the product. Got this drone was very excited. Just to find out the app doesn't work . Huge was of money. Thanks for nothing

App worked great at first. Then it started crashing and now it crashes everytime i open. Any ideas? After update 2 days ago it stopped working. Whats up with that?

good drone, horrible app. Drone is well built, fun to fly, app/cam is absolute junk however. no instructions. made in garbage cheap junk china, what did i expect right? F me right? Go to hell, squints. Learn to code, oh and a bunch of broke 'features' is worse than simple streamlimed interface. Returning to store

App won't open so I can't even use it. I have installed and uninstalled it a few different times now and it won't open and says app keeps stopping.

Re: VIVITAR AERO VIEW DRONE DRC-446 using this app on 05/20/2020. No issues so far. All features seem to function properly. I see another has posted the app was fixed as of April 23, 2020.

It won't let me in. It keeps closing the app whenever I open it and press start. I've downloaded it before and had no problems and now it has problems. I am triggered. :(
