Vobi

Poor sound quality, unreliable (experience a lot of drop calls). Can not select loud speaker when i need to wait for a operator to answer a phone. Need some improvement before i can enjoy this app.

Have not been able to activate on my ph for 9 days and wasted tons of data installing and uninstalling to get It to work with no luck. Time to cancel this service and I have 3 sip accounts.

app just stops working correctly. when dialing out , it dials on other end but you want hear it ring. when call is answered you can not hear the other side and they can't hear you. same with in coming calls. it rings on my side. when I answer can't hear other side and they can't hear me. did re-install. app freezes on incoming calls... have to keep resetting it. and can not answer important business calls.

The recent update is rendering the app almost unusable on my Note5, the microphone and speaker stops working soon after installing or updating. I've had to uninstall and reinstall twice already and each time it stops working after one or two days. Latest update appears to have restored the functionality, a day after the update and it's still working.

I like the app, being using it for 4 years, I would have given it a 5 stars, just that when you are at a poor internet coverage, the other side won't hear you clearly or you won't hear them... Maybe if it could show internet strength I would give it a 5. The other problem is that one touch on the contact makes call. Sometimes you will touch this contacts by mistake and it calls right away, could you add an optional confirmation to make calls?

Was really overjoyed at finding a competitor to Telkom. But the call clarity is not excellent. Settings need to be changed constantly. It's also annoying when you choose to call someone, it does not register immediately and you end up dialling someone else. Not very user friendly screen. Also calls to others are not clear, speech is interrupted and intermittent. App needs an update desperately

The app worked perfectly until July. Have logged it numerous times, uninstalled, reinstalled, consultants taking me through settings... still working intermittently. VoIP phone rings but not the Vobi. Can't always make outgoing and receive verbal error message saying 'We are Unable to Route your call' when trying to make outgoing. Then works on 4th/5th attempt.

All of a sudden the Bluetooth functionality of the app has stopped working. Useless as I now can't use it in my car. If it does connect it immediately goes back to handset. Support is also useless with the problem.

the new update does not work properly. I have to keep uninstalling and reinstalling the app up to 4 times a day because I cannot hear anything when making calls. Support so far has been useless as well. Ive told them 5 times about the problem and they cannot fix it - update 1 star to 3. The new update this morning seems to have worked.

We ported our telkom number so it's nice to receive these call on one's mobile too but this app is not working properly when making out going calls. Its the app and not vox's because I have an Ata adaptor so that could still use my old phones and it has no problem. The main this is no one can hear you if you made an outgoing call. Also on my huawei p20 it has to register first before you can make a call, even if you have just received a call.

very very disappointed with accessing Vobi. also interferes with my Vodacom phone. will not allow me to make calls on my vodacom. I have to delete Vobi app in order to use my Vodacom. I have reported this and have made numerous calls for assistance but to no avail. I even went direct to Vox head office and sat with a technician who has been unable to help. can someone please contact me immediately

Vobi is a great idea, but the App needs work. I silenced one call, now my app is on silent, and I just can't un-silence it. If I try to phone a contact on my phone the app crashes. I have uninstalled and reinstalled countless times with no success.

Works well but some counter-intuitive functionality such as speakerphone in an unusual place, strange Dismiss button thst sits on top of the End Call button, and all that screen space devoted to contacts search but you still have to click a button to open it.

Great staff, especially with the speedy assistance with switching over to Vox. Only thing about the app is it does not ring with app in the background. Only works when app is open in the foreground.

trying to set up after downloading the app , you cannot scan qr code. it never gets emailed?. what happens if your email address is in your phone?? how you supposed to scan. it also asks for username and password. i completed that but the app still refuses to phone.

Worst app ever, I have got this app installed on 2 phones (to help me if the app won't work on the 1 phone maybe it will work on the other one, but still doesn't work). When your phone goes into sleep mode this app closes down and you won't receive any calls. I have phoned call center about 5 time every time they will change a few settings but nothing has helped me so fare. Stay away because this app will just give you problems!!

Running on a Sony Xperia Z Ultra. Installed and cannot make phone calls at all. When I press dial, the contact pops up and the dialing UI closes again. Did a full reset on my phone, so no luck, running 5.1.1 Android ...help pls.

Many people complain about breaks in the conversation over wi-fi and battle to hear me. No improvement. Also app does not work on mobile data sometimes. Almost as if there is no mobile data left.

Very poor sound quality even over a strong broadband connection. People I call aren't able to hear me talk - I've adjusted the microphone settings and have had endless trouble with poor sound quality.

Lately for at least 1 week my calls ring once on my side and cut off or sometimes does not even ring. It is frustrating as people who are calling me say its ringing while and goes to voicemail. What voicemail ? There is nothing wrong with my phone or my wifi at 50GB. So problem can only be the app.

Please please fix the calls dropping, I use the app for work and it highly unprofessional that I need to keep asking people to repeat themselves because the quality is so poor. Really decent app when I first got it! Now I'm on the verge of canceling because I can't use it for intended purpose.

I spent 5 hours installing and uninstalling app. I do not recommend this app. Very frustrating app. Then receiver cant hear you. Then you cant hear caller. I will never bother with this app. What a waste of my time and energy spent on this app.

Terrible experience as l cannot access my contacts via vobi even though l allowed the app to access my contacts. Whenever l select a contact, the vobi app crashes. I cannot even call my contacts from the app which defeats the whole purpose of having it in the first place.

Terrible app. Sound quality often very poor. And for call back the calls can come through on any of the 5 user's phones. I have complained a few times but no improvement.

love the app but this new update is horrible! there's no audio on the calls or the microphone. you have to uninstall and reinstall to fix. but the problem comes back a day later

This is an great investment during lockdown. I can call all my friends and clients at a set price of R171 to make and receive unlimited calls! The quality is exceptionally clear, much better than Skype, WhatsApp or Messenger. I received outstanding Customer support (from Philip Kemp) and would highly recommend this service and app.

Constant issues and unable to dial numbers that are not formatted in exactly a certain way. When dialing other numbers just get an "Unauthorised, On Hold" error.

I am very unhappy with the call quality ! It started off ok but has gotten worse and worse every time I escalate the error I'm advised it must be my fibre line however my fiber signal is at full strength and has worked perfectly for 2 years ! Very disappointing
