I really like the app and open it a few times everyday. I even got the pro version to remove the ads and it works great. I have one suggestion though. Can you remove the clock ticking sound effect in Quiz or at least have an option to disable it. Its distracting and doesn't lets think clearly. I usually reduce phone volume to 0 and then do the quizes. Rest works great.

App has issues staying alive to send morning notification unless the widget is running. Words change every 4-6 hours instead of every 24. Range of words is good and UI is aesthetically simplistic making it a joy to use. Weekly quizzes are a great addition, however again they will not work unless widget is running. Overall a good app with some bugs to squash.

Didn't think I would love such a simple app so much, it's minimal and has an amazing word selection. Only thing I would say, is a way to make either a custom quiz or be able to do a quiz from your favorited words. That would be nice but other than that great app for an excellent word selection and no crazy ads ever 2 seconds.

This app is great, love it❤. I'm actually a student at the moment, struggling to find new words that fully describes my thoughts, and this app provides it all. It helps in a lot of school and life related matters. Thank u developers, this helps a lot🤘.

It's a great app, but the widget and daily reminder notification have been the same word for over a year now. Just got a new phone and was hoping it was an update issue with my device, but no luck. I guess the app is not updated often.

Really look forward to the word every day. This is an app that I really enjoy. I feel like it does help me in a good way. The more words you know the better. This is an add on to my previous review. I have learned so many new words by just looking at 3 words a day. I am able to pass the quizzes without a miss. This really is a great app and a fun way to learn.

Best vocabulary app I've used so far. Enjoyed learning new words and the quizzes make it easier to learn. I did what the developer said to do and the pronunciation works great now. They were very quick getting back to me with an answer also.

No bells and whistles. No intrusive ads. EXCELLENT selection of words. I tried all of the vocabulary builder apps on google play, and this was simultaneously the simplest AND the best. The selection of words is mostly intermediate level, and almost entirely practical. If your looking to boost your 'vocabulary ego' with big obscure words, this is NOT the app for you. But if you're a writer looking to improve your vocabulary with words that are in common usage, this app is perfect.

I've just started so I'm not completely familiar with VB. I do want to say my overview of VB is in high standards. Looks as though you guys got the right idea with words. Also I've been looking for a vocabulary app and this is the only one that seems right on. I will update my review once more familiar with VB.

Ads not too intrusive and content is better than I expected. Has actual hard words in quizzes and seems to be intended for intermediary to high level of english. I am enjoying this a lot, thanks for making it.

This app is not letting me use word pronunciation feature as it continuously says to Update your Speech Services by Google, whereas mine is already updated. I don't know where is the glitch but please guide and fix it.

This app really helps me in expanding my vocabulary. I definitely recommend it. I've been out of high school and college for many years and I'm a writer who is trying to publish my first novel and this app and apps like this really help build your vocabulary and your comprehension of words and meanings.

I would like to suggest you a worthy recommendation. The most important thing in learning new words is to know how to use it in sentences or conversations. So I request you to include fill in the blanks sentences/conversations or anything of that sort to improve our proficiency of using English in our day to day life. You can even place hints in that for better answering. It's a kind suggestion. I hope you consider it. Honestly,I loved this. It is a Great app. In few days learnt a lot. Thanks 😊

I love the app very much. Some small changes would be very helpful. Give us the option to create more than one list of saved words and train them independently. Also, allow us to see how many words are there in each list / saved words list. Thx

Notification with a daily word. Sporadic quizzes which also build vocab. Some adds but you are able toa ccess app content easily.

The daily word changes for me every few hours instead of every 24 hours. Is there a way to fix this? It seems like it happens when I click on the widget to view the full definition most frequently.

We are having too much fun taking the quiz! However, it would be better if we had more time to read the l o n g definitions.

Installed this on a fluke to learn one new word a day but I really enjoy the daily quiz. Amazed I score so well with the definitions. Great App. Thanks

Fun way to learn new words. Only issue is that the word of the day never matches the notification I get on my phone.

I love learning new words, in fact this is the only app on my phone besides texts and calls that has permission to notify me. Quick thing though, whenever a word suggestion shows up in my notifications, and I click it; it brings me to the general homepage, not directly to word it prompted me to learn. Any way to fix this? Edit: I have seen the response to a similar complaint, I will try downloading the app on a newer phone to test if it is a problem with my Samsung S20.

What a great app to expand your vocabulary. Daily words, and quizzes on demand. Love this app.

Works as expected but I think whoever is coming up with the word of the day is depressed. each word given to me: callous, dreary, abashed and a few others throughout the week that I can't think of off the top of my head but all had negative means.

Very pleased. Good interface, a lot of words to learn, quizzes that dig the words into my memory and a useful application for students like myself. However, I respectfully suggest that you improve the search button, as it does not work on my mobile device. Other than that though, it is a great app and I will turn this review into 5 stars once I am satisfied with your improvements. Thank you, if you read this. Kind regards. I like the widget which shows the word of the day and invites me to take a short quiz. The quizzes are fun as well; only a bit challenging and usually I know all 5 words. A harder setting would be nice and (and maybe an easier one for non-native speakers) . My only complaint is that after the quiz instead of your score or even a clue on whether you got the last question right, you're forced to watch a full screen ad; I'd gladly pay a few $$ to turn that off! Otherwise all good.

You have my sincere thanks for this app. I had brain surgery a few years ago and lost much of my speech and vocab abilities. Three years of speech therapy have helped me regain "basic" and generalised vocab but I've really missed the sort of beautiful, specific language your app has as part of it and was once so much a part of my life. It is helping my brain find it again (and learn new ones). I also really like the setup, design, quiz and daily word - simple, non-intrusive and makes sense. Ta!

Advertisements received have only been able to be closed by touching the x tucked away in the far corner of the screen, causing mishap clicks on the advertisements themselves. An option to purchase an ad free version of the app, or the ability to exit the advertisement by pressing the back button would drastically increase the quality of the user experience.

I love this app and I love being quizzed on a handful of words at a time. It makes for a good refresher. Being on our phones 24/7 is slowly making me stupid and lazy when it comes to vocabulary and definitions, as well as spelling. I have noticed a huge difference in my cognitive thinking when it comes to having answers being on click away. This app serves to correct that.

It's quite common sense that there should be a way to sort all the words chronologically, otherwise it will be nearly impossible to find which word is appearing on which particular day. The new version is having all the words listed down alphabetically and it basically serves no purpose. Moreover, all the words marked previously in my list are gone. Clearly, this new update has been a blatant mistake which should be corrected as soon as possible.

Been using this for my test prep. It's awesome! Rarely any ads popping up.
