Don't know if it's an issue with the phone mic or the app, but it doesn't read low notes very well. One second it says I'm singing E1 then the next F4, without any fluctuation on my end. I know I'm vocalizing in the 1st octave, b/c our studio software has measured me. Tried this just to practice with on the go, no luck.

I think this will be surprisingly useful for writing down melodies. 2 main issues still left to improve, I think: 1) The "hold" button sometimes stops working, especially after I've loaded a previously-recorded audio file. It is then necessary to restart the app. 2) only equal temperament is provided. It would be great if there was an option for custom intonations and/or scala file import (perhaps an extra feature in a paid version?). Screenshots would be nice too, but I do have an app for that.

BEST. PRACTICE. TOOL. EVER!!!! This is a mirror for your ear. There are many tuning apps out there, but this one allows you to see the waveform you are creating. Not only in terms of pitch, but how steady your breath flow is and how your tones are connecting or not. Many have very well developed ears, but still have a blind spot when it comes to listening to themselves. This app bridges the gap by giving a very objective visual display of what everyone else is hearing.

For someone learning how to sing this app is great. Get to see visually what you sound like and which note you are hitting. It helps me learn to tune my singing, and also practice singing the intervals. With this I have been able to see my mistakes, which I have not been able to hear before, and now have learnt how to hear the mistakes with this app. Wicked. Also great for figuring out melodies! The latency (time for visual to show) is almost instant! Chuuur

The app works as expected, except from one thing. There is a scale setting where you can select a scale like c major, d major, f minor, etc. What is this setting meant to do? The app functions the same no matter what scale i select. It would be great if the app displayed the correct pitch name for the detected scale. For example, if i was using the scale c minor, the note e-flat should display, not d-sharp. No matter what scale i select, the pitches display in their sharp form.

Not bad. I use this app to train my true pitch. Anytime I feel unsure about the key, all I do is to open this app, hum the sound and the key appears in real-time. But I don't like the fact that you can only import .wav files. What about.mp3

It needs to be more intuitive for new singers, and just in general. Currently, it is difficult to tell whether we are singing perfectly in tune, or are off, and if so, by how much. Yes, it does basically work like a tuner and recognizes pitch, but when it is simply telling me a D#_fghdsygf, I don't know what that actually means...

A simple app which is useful for practising intervals, checking the key of a song you sing by ear, or for tuning a stringed instrument. I would appreciate the option to pay to remove the ads, but nevertheless this is a useful tool to have in one's armoury if you are without your usual instrument or wish to improve your pitching.

Why is there no way to transfer or access the audio files unless you send them ONE by ONE. There are no file managers that are able to find these audio files. Not on Windows or Android. Please allow us to at least send files in bulk, but being able to transfer them to PC would be immensely helpful.

As far as this free app goes, it's excellent use for someone just wanting to use daily practice singing proper notes and pitches and also to find my vocal range. This has helped my ear training for guitar playing as I'm mainly a guitarist. Simple and great for a free app. Can't complain unless I wanted to picky.

Really helped me so much after years of struggling with singing for aural skills. Helped me gain so much control of my pitch with three weeks of dedicated practice and my aural skills are the best they have ever been. Thank you so much. If they added capability to set the scale up microtonally I would feel like the luckiest person around.

Very good, I've just found that it would be even better if it supported always-running for splitscreen mode. I don't think it has that enabled because I can't make it not stop when not focused. Otherwise fantastic!

I got a harmonica from a friend that traveled to England. I have never played and didn't know much about the instrument. There are many types in various keys and I do not have much experience with music. Using this app I was able to map out the keys for my new instrument and am learning to play my first songs.

Great! It's really good for higher notes, sadly it can't register low low notes (stops reading properly somewhere below C2). The app functions very well though, and is great for writing music, or trying to write music sheet for covers of songs.

It's really good. All the 1 star raters are the noobs who don't know how to touch a simple program. Although I do have to say, I would rate this a 4 because the program won't register sound from another device if that device isn't blast and if it is, it register as 1 octave higher.

Good. The F major scale contains one flat, but the left side appears to always use sharps. B flat major contains 2 flats, and so on. This app is not correctly using music theory and it would be better if the number of sharps and flats was used properly on the tick marks in the graph.

This is a fun program to mess with, or tune an instrument with! I use it every now and again, but not often. Still, thanks! Any amusement in a hellish place is a good thing! Especially when you see something like an invention you contacted Elon Musk about 3-4 years ago announced online. It's a good thing to see, but then, it would have been better if I'd been involved -- as I already see flaws and or issues of efficiency. I would have turned the whole of arid waste lands green. I still might.
