Vocalizer TTS Voice (English)

Fixed the issue with my tablet, until the update, upon reboot, I would have to download the language pack again each time. So far so good rebooted and left tablet off and no errors. Some of the voices are hit and miss, my likings are Zoe (US English) & Karen (Australian English). Since I'm visually impaired, I tried a bunch of voices with my accessibility software to see which worked best with it.

The voices provided are great and worth the money. I'm not a fan of the voices provided by Google on my Pixel 2 XL, and the purchased "Oliver" UK English voice seemed perfect for my needs. Reading a sample piece of text works just fine, but after it hits punctuation it comes to a complete halt. The engine is not suitable for reading books. I'd love to see this fixed in the future.

Love the Vocalizer app. My favorite voice is Zoe pro. Tried the other US English voices but didn't care for them. Some sounded better than others. Zoe definitely sounded the best to me. She was more human like sounding. The only negative thing about using Vocalizer on my phone is Vocalizer saying letters and numbers when there's a graphic. I use Chrome as my browser. I'm not sure why this is the case. wy can't it say "graphic?" I don't need to hear the file or whatever it's reading. I'd appreciate it if you could address this in some future update for the Vocalizer app. It seems to do the same thing with Google tts. I don't know if this happens on all Galixy phones or all Android phones. Keep up the great work. I love Zoe and i'm so pleased to have her on my phone. Heard that Eloquence is pretty good too but he's a little too expensive for just one voice. Too each their own. If the other US English voices sounded more like Zoe, I'd download more of them. Reviewed each voice at least twice before choosing zoe. Would definitely recommend this app to others.

Hi. I have used Vocalizer Voices on an Android-working Chromebook with Chrome OS's Chromevox screen reader. The interface of the app is easy to use. The voices sound pretty much okay. One thing I didn't like are the very short pauses in punctuation, in particular periods. The voices Zoe (US English,) Veena (Indian English,) and Serena (UK English,) are the only voices I kind of like as of now. I rate this 3 stars because this has been an okay experience using this application.

I am just kind of wondering if the 2.9 star rating that this app is getting is totally, and completely baseless, or, there are some truth into it. So, i gave it a try! The very first thing that i did is I install the main vocalizer tts app from the play store. And from its own user interface, i then downloaded all 10 trial high quality U.S. english voices. And from then onwards as you may have already guessed it so very accurately, I, 'started a joke'? Or, started to experience all the problems.

The voices overall are good I have used them in other applications. However there should be more purchasing flexibility. e.g. if you buy a voice you should be able to swap between voices for a fews days stress testing until you decide on one. It is difficult to tell from the sample that the Malcolm inflects up on every comma, semicolon, and colon and down on every period. If you use it for reading verse it sounds like it is reading from sorcerers tomb. My trial expired long ago browsing apps.

Vocalizer keeps nagging me even after I purchased a second voice. Settings gray out except for Alternate TTS, which I do have selected. Uninstall and reinstall doesn't fix the problem. I strongly urge devs to fix this issue before I file a complaint with the store. UPDATE: Do NOT purchase this app. The voices overpriced for the quality and the nagging tricked me into a purchase that I now understand was a mistake.

This seems to be pretty good so far. The voices are kind of more on the robotic side, they don't sound very natural, but they're okay. I do like that you just pay $5 to buy a voice outright and you don't have to pay a monthly subscription. I also like being able to change the pronunciation for certain words, but my main problem is, if the word has an apostrophe, it doesn't see that as a word when trying to fix it in the dictionary, so it keeps mispronouncing the word. Please fix this.

Works okay for some apps but I would like it to work with SMS My Car and me. I get an error from the other app that language is not supported. Vocalizer then goes on line and connects with servers and displays available languages. I would like Vocalizer to work with the hands free app if possible. I have tried all the various settings in both apps with the same error popping up.

First of all, my problem: It is really hard to download any voice. it shows the downloading animation for hours but nothing happens. Yes, I tried to delete cache and data and yes I tried to reinstall the app. And now the good stuff: it has really good voices :)

Have been using the vocalizer and really like it; have purchased many voices. Recently it starts to rapidly scan through the pages without any voice on my android phone. The fix is to clear data and reload voice and dictionary. No problems with my android tablet. Any ideas on what I can do?

The vocalizer TTS voices are working fine, it's just a waste of time because I don't want to purchase with money. Plus, the free trial was awesome until it gave out on me only a while. I hate it! And I don't little Laurie hated a lot. Sometimes, I hate it. Sometimes, I don't. But, can you please fix the trial period? I need that fixed right now. My experience has been frustrating so far. I purchased voices for six or seven languages. They all worked initially, but after a while I have been unable to hear anything. I changed my phone and re-download the voices without any result. I am glad that it has been different for some of you.

Hello! I can say I really like this app. Now that I've understand the issue with the sound quality (depends on the audio codec used by the android version: 3-4.4.4, 5-8.1.2, 9-10) I don't have anything against it. My US voices have stopped mispronouncing uncommon words. It's alright. I'd like the embedded high though.

I don't get the negative reviews. Yes you have to pay, but you get 7 day trial and £3.50 won't kill you. And guess what, you won't find better for free anyways. Google TTS is trash because they replaced quality voices year ago and their App is worse by every new version. Ivona TTS has been bought by Amazon, and old App won't work properly. The rest is or really bad or subscription based. So instead of whining we should appreciate that there at least one company which making good voices. Thanks!

This is a really great app I have to admit that I do love this app my favorite voices are Allison Evan and Zoe very great app however I would like to see the trial period extended and maybe if possible away to get the voices for free but overall the app is amazing very well done.

The voices sound quite nice. Although not, perfect, they sound more natural that those of Google and Samsung TTS services. However, you have to pay for EVERY language, accent, and gender separately. If you're me, who like to read in several languages and accents, that's a LOT

I like this app and its voices, but yesterday I've lost access to half of the voices I already bought. It shows me them as they haven't been bought at all, so naturally I can't use them. Please, fix this issue ASAP, because it's extremely frustrating experience!:(

The app is useful but for two years of using it I have been experiencing significant issues on different phone models. Ie I have to frequently reinstall the voice in order for it to work

So I purchased the Noelle vioce it keeps having to install over and over and a box pops up and says it's at 2%. When it's actually 25% or higher This is a complete waste of my money installing fix your stupid app it seems a lot of people are having nothing but problems with this app. Don't bother responding to this because I'm never installing it again

This app is nothing but a waste of time and good money, it has disabled itself on me every second of every minute of every day for the last two weeks, and I can't seem to get it to work, if I wanted the Samsung Text-to-Speech voice, I could have just kept it, but I went out of my way spend time and money to figure this out, for it to screw me erect every time I have to go read a text message, the app has somehow disabled itself, it never stays enabled why is this

Best voices out tgere since Ivona. Thr reason i didnt give 5 stars is because I am not allowed to rate individual voices on here. In my opinion, the UK English Malcom voice is very good. This is my "go to" voice. Australian English Lee is good too. It all depends on what is pleasing to your ears. Yes, some of the voices sound robotic, BUT some of them are very good. Each voice has a 7 day free trial, so you can discover whether you like the voice before buying it.

Edit: after the last update I have to reinstall the voices, but I can't download the pro version, only the compact version. Why? Please fix, thanks. I love the app, really, and have purchased the voice I like most, and I use it daily.

Voice quality is good. But please add an option to disable pronunciation of parentheses of different kinds and such. Like this list: (,), ", -, <, >. It is annoying hearing multiple "opening paren, closing paren" etc.

Is is a good app after I figured out how to use it, but the voices still sound more like a robot than human. There's not enough inflections with questions and excitment with exclamations. I find it a bit mono tone at times but it does read to me.
