Ride the future on a Voi scooter. The easy, fun, and eco-friendly way to travel, commute and explore your city. Unlock a Voi and travel in total freedom - all free from emissions.

Voi is ideal for the big adventure or for the last few hundred meters:

- Morning and evening commutes

- Fast travel across the city to meetings

- Rides to or from class

- Join friends for dinner or a date

- Explore new cities while on vacation and go on urban adventures

How Voi works:

1. Download the app and log in

2. Find an e-scooter nearby

3. Unlock the scooter by scanning the QR code

4. Ride to your destination and end your ride in the app

Pricing:

It costs 1€ (€0 in Spain), 10 KR, 10 DKK (30 DKK in Åårhus) or 10 NOK to unlock a scooter, and then you pay per minute. The minute price varies from city to city, so find your minute price by tapping a scooter in the app!

Why do you need Voi? There's nothing quite like it. Voi’s electric scooters offer a quicker alternative to walking, a smoother alternative to riding a bicycle and a more environmentally friendly alternative to fossil fuel-driven buses, taxis, mopeds and cars. It’s a space saver, helping to reduce congestion and pollution.

Voi wants cities all over Europe to be greener. And the people who live in those cities to be happier. We believe e-scooters can change how people move in cities. Voi’s vision is cities that are made for living—free from noise and pollution.

I prefer to use the bikes than scooters. They are unreliable and constantly refuse to unlock and lock. If you get a faulty bike, the app will not detect that and start charging you, ask you to lock the bike to end ride etc. And restarting unfortunately doesn't fix this. You are also forced to reapply every voucher again, through a messy settings menu, each time you want to ride. Got a '3 free unlocks' voucher? Perfect, make sure you reapply it, via the settings menu, every time you open the app.

In Cambridge, the selection of vehicles is great and their quality is good. Minus two stars however because a good 70% of the time you can't actually drop off your bike because the app insists on you being in a tiny area, but the GPS on phones just isn't good enough to tell. Plus one star though for having quick customer support via phone without a horrible menu and long queues, who sort it out when it happens.

Originally gave a low star rating as I was asked for a review immediately after an issue my first time using it. Customer service responded very quickly and solved the issue (excellent support). I used another bike on the journey back and it was a very smooth process. Th bike was also much easier to ride! I think the first didn't have the electric side working- it was just a very heavy bike to cycle. The second one was very easy!

First time, and I got a dangerous scooter... I was pushing with the leg like I do with other brands and it was not starting. I'm standing trying to figure out what's going on and it starts full speed!! The ride was not really stable and hard to maintain in straight line though it was better than other brands on gravel. They seem cheap on single rides but their subscription plans make no sense.

This service is useless. You can't use these scooters for any actual purpose apart from fun. If you wanna rush to a train station or a bus stop don't use this. If you wanna use it for some chores don't use it. Just unlock the bike roam near your home within 20 meters and then end the ride. Else you can't end the ride and you can't reach the customer care on time and you lose a lot of money. The only way is trying to go back where you picked the bike and end the ride.

Update: Voi gave me 5 free credits, which is a nice gesture. Still can't use my debit card to pay, but PayPal works. Once payment sorted the experience is good. ---- Pretty rubbish so far. Tried with multiple different payment methods (Monzo debit MasterCard and Santander credit MasterCard) and neither worked. Worse: Monzo shows that the £5 holding charges did go through, and Voi even took £1.86 out of my account before refunding it. So why does the app say my payment method isn't working?

The app is over sensitive to loss of internet - other apps are working fine but Voi complains of no internet. Also I get fed up with getting bombarded by messages when all I want to do is end my ride. It would be nice if the app had more functionality for mapping routes and finding parking slots near the destination.

If they put as much time into the app working seemlessly as they do trying to get you to avoid making contact with a human and making you go through endless questions with an app assistant that don't help at the time and is due to a bug Voi's end then maybe I'd review higher but ATM I'm annoyed. Thanks for wrecking my day as I can't travel with mates now. Can't wait till private scooters are legal in UK or more competion is added to a city and services like this have to improve or die.

The service could be great, but more than 80% of the vehicles on the map in busy areas are either non-functional or discharged. After you walk more than half a mile to find a scooter that shows up on the map, it refuses to start. I advise against taking a day pass on this service or relying on it too much for any type of commute.

Lack of parking space make you think not the best idea to rent this. App itself is perfect when you're doing happy path. However if you want to make a complain about something, it's very limited. You can't even see which bike or scooter did you drive, how much paid etc. I've charged twice because of bike issue and waiting more than 2 days. There's no confirmation mail or anything at all. Need improvement.

I've been having an issue where after entering the code sent to my number and me pressing login all it does is say "An error has occured" still don't understand why. I've tried reinstalling the app multiple times. Nothing.

Amazing experience when the app and bikes or scooters work as meant to which is about 10% of the time. Problems almost everytime: you can't park here (even though I'm in a parking spot), bikes with faulty breaks, lights, and baskets (not all the same bike luckily), problems locking the bike (so you continue to get charged and can't stop it), problems unlocking the bike but the app timer starts (so you are charged without being able to ride). Don't waste your money and avoid the stress.

So, the idea is to reduce traffic in city's, make it accessible to get around being environmentally friendly. This is not the case, it's cheaper to get a taxi into and through the city, the prices are a scam and you only find this out after registering your details, so its a data theft, scooters are to expensive to do a 10 min journey, cheaper to get a taxi, no way of closing the accout or having your data removed...be warned this is not what they say it is, prices are sky-high, Taxi is cheaper

Usually a decent app but as I tried to book a scooter to work yesterday, the app asked me to take the safety quiz again. No problem, thought they were insuring I was being safe, but it wouldn't go through and asked me to take it again. Must have taken it 10-15 times whilst becoming later and later for work, uninstalled and reinstalled the app and nothing. Had to book a taxi in the end and ended up late to work because I wasn't able to use a scooter.

When it works it great. But had all sorts of issues. I renewed my licence and it took ages (1/2 hour) to get it sorted, while the app said a few minutes. The scooters can be flakey deciding they are in a no ride zone when it's 100 meters away.

I've had a lot of fun with Voi but I can't justify £7 for a day pass, so unfortunately won't be Voiing anymore. Bring prices back down to a fiver a day, or offer a more sensible pricing structure for maybe 4 x 30 min trips a day for £4 for people who just want to make a return journey somewhere and I will pick it up again. £7 to Voi to town and back vs a £3 bus return or £4 drive incl. parking, I can't justify that. Unfortunately you have lost a regular customer.

I tried all the e scooters. This is the worst experience. It locks automatically and not getting unlocked. Even in the middle of the color light waiting.

Gab. A. Mar 29, 2022

wouldn't let me park because 10 there already. this left me with a scooter I couldn't park and late for a meeting. not good Well with all due respects the reply from Voi is just plain stupid. The whole ethos is that you can pick up a scooter to go from A to B. I am not from Bristol so I planned my route using YOUR map and went to the parking space nearest to my destination. It is stupid to not be able to park at a parking space because it's full. There is no way of knowing until you arrive

Ant. May 13, 2022

One of the best, even though the scooters got slow reaction time to start. I'm still waiting for a more reasonable monthly subscription, like daily minutes or in km and transfer unused to next day. As 10 minutes a day/300 monthly pass gets you nowhere and the new 25 min/750 monthly a day gets you somewhere, but still not far. Using minutes while waiting for red light is paying for basically nothing.

I've used similar services in the US very successfully so I was excited to try this. The experience isn't even close to the US competitors. There are far too many barriers to using the service: no-go zones everywhere, constant nudges to take surveys, requirement to take a photo of your scooter, complaints that perfectly fine photos don't meet requirements (with the thrat of a fine!), and the craziest part... they expect you do to a field sobriety test in the freezing cold just to use a scooter.

Dav. E. Mar 8, 2022

Honestly a great idea. The app is relatively good, a few issues with scooters not being where they should, and the occasional bug. Be careful because there are bugs with the app that will result in you getting unfairly fined if you aren't careful...and the customer support guys, are limited in the options they have available to help. It's getting better though.

Emm. W. Apr 16, 2022

Great company, very responsive when I had a small issue on a previous ride, they responded straight away and dealt with it brilliantly. Scooters feel safe and well maintained.

Tom. C. Apr 26, 2022

Generally a good app. A few bugs sometimes. Would be good if subscription uses could reserve a scooter for 10 minutes so you know it will be there when you have walked there.

R. Apr 27, 2022

So far, a pretty solid experience. When I had a faulty scooter, it was easy to mark it and I wasn't charged for the ride. Wish I could use it at late night, but apart from that, all positives.

Dav. M. May 14, 2022

No ride zones are not clearly indicated in advance, nor is the fact that they change depending on the time of day. You keep paying while trying to move the scooter back to a ride zone (manually).

Edo. K. May 28, 2022

I bought a 24hr Voi pass in Gothenburg. After 22.00 I wasn't able to use Voi any more. Apparently they disabled riding after 22.00 for all users. Nowhere was I informed that this would happen. Called support and was told they could cancel my Voi pass so I could buy another one. Ridiculous, since I was riding with some friends and got stranded. They used other e scooter that worked.

Kei. W. May 20, 2022

EDIT: Did my first ever ride just now. One issue was likely this scooter seemed to have a dodgy throttle switch - totally died, then came back to life after jiggling the switch. FURTHER EDIT: Obvs my bad - apparently I'd strayed into a no Voi zone so it shut down. I now know better.
