Voice Assistant for Avaya Vantage™

The Voice Assistant for Avaya Vantage™ application enables voice commands on the Avaya Vantage™ device.

You can use voice commands to:
• Make a call to a specific number – e.g. “Call 9724545”
• Make a call to a contact on your device – e.g. “Call Gary mobile”
• Dial in to the next meeting in your calendar. The calendar must be synced with the Avaya Vantage™device – e.g. “Call my next meeting”
• Search for general information, such as the weather. Results will be presented in a browser. E.g. – “What is the weather in New-York?”

The default wake-up phrase to activate Voice Assistant for Avaya Vantage™ is : “Hello Vantage”.
Although the above is the default wake word, we recommend you train your own wake-up phrase. It can be easily trained in the application setup or anytime from the application settings. Setting your own wake-up word can minimize errors in recognizing your voice.

Important Configuration Notes:
1) In Order to make a call to a contact you need to make sure the contact is part of your local contacts or part of your Google contacts synced via your google account to the device.
2) In order to make a successful call to your meetings, you need to sync your device Calendar to your Exchange or any other meeting server. Avaya Equinox™ is also capable of loading your meetings into Top of mind.
3) First time you attempt to make a call, a pop-up will ask you to choose your Phone application. Make sure you choose either Avaya Vantage™ Basic or Avaya Equinox™ and do NOT choose the Android phone application. Press always to confirm.
