Very good app. A really interesting tour guide, clear and concise, to suit your own timelines. GPS lost me once or twice but once I clicked on the maps app I was back on the tour. Nails it.
The tour was superb but the app was glitchy, got stuck a few times, needed re-sign in etc. Also, it's not incredibly intuitive design but one it calmed down from glitches, is workable.
Love this app! I make sure to use it on my travels and discover some of the stories and history of lesser known areas on my own time. Really useful if your your time doesn't align with a walking tour.
Love this app!! Easy to follow the guide and super informative. Adds so much value to your tour experience. If you're someone who loves exploring new places and learning about the history or just fully immersing yourself in the environment then this app is for you.
In principle great idea enabled by this app. Sometimes am running in circles in the app - not knowing what to push to get to the prt of app I want so user experience can be improved. I also wounder why the battery is so much used while using this app?
Great idea, terrible app with lots of bugs. I purchased two tours for Paris. When I tried to download them, the app froze multiple times. After uninstalling and restarting, I was able to download one. But when I previewed the tour and paused it, it would not let me resume the tour later. I had to delete and download it again, so that I could resume it. Frustrating experience. I will not be using this app in Paris. Very disappointed.
Just done my first tour. This is really good and can throughly recommend it. I need to look at it but itbwould be good if you could share purchases with another device so if 2 of you wanted to do it together then you could.
Very enjoyable and entertaining tour. Learnt a lot of interesting historical information that took us down streets we wouldn't otherwise explored. Our guide was the perfect host.
Worked great, and let me tour at my own pace. Perfect for solo travelers.
Enjoyed the tour - only wish a longer version with more area's of interest was available.
This app works great and gives you the ability to learn about places. Highly recommended!
This app is one of my favourites for travelling. It works well, and there is a lot of content. Brilliant idea! Is it just me or does the pause button on headsets not work with this app? This addition would be a major improvement, as you could keep you phone in your pocket all the time. I also like the recent addition of virtual tours. An indication of which tours are suitable for this would be helpful - not all of them make sense. And if you could add pictures for the virtual tours, it could be an awesome experience!
Amazing for exploring! We have been to New Orleans numerous times and wanted to do something inexpensive and away from the typical expensive tours in the French Quarter. After a little bit of research, I downloaded this app. The tours available took us to areas we'd never explored before and the UI was flawless. The guide always began speaking at the correct point and I barely ever had to touch my phone. I can't wait to use this app to explore other cities!
VoiceMap is a well-thought out, useful app that connects travellers with insightful, locally produced audio tours across the globe. I love that, even going up Table Mountain in Cape Town, South Africa, I can access their tours. Their tours are especially useful for solo travellers or those new to a city without travel companions to talk to or in-depth knowledge of a particular city/place.
I've had a great experience with VoiceMap when I travel to new cities. It's an easy, quick way to find the interesting places around you and learn a little bit more about why they're great. Whether you're looking for history, culture, or great places to eat, there's a variety of tours in each city to match your style. I even tried my hand at designing a walking tour of my own city, Hong Kong. It's just as much fun for sharing your interests as discovering them from others.
I loved exploring my hometown with this app. It offers a unique way to experience a city. You can hear the passion that the local storytellers bring into their tours. I particularly enjoyed that I could pause the tour whenever I wanted. So when I got peckish and thirsty, I simply paused, went to a nearby café, and enjoyed myself for an hour before continuing the tour. No one was rushing me! I can't wait to use it overseas.
I honestly would not have expected such an infuriating experience. Do you know someone who starts a story in the middle? Imagine you're getting navigation from them, in a busy city. That's this app! Delight in making innumerable incorrect turns, and a full minute after you were supposed to. Bravo in your efforts! It's been awful.
Good Idea but unresponsive and not intuitive nor guiding enough
Absolutely fantastic, I ve walked in alleyways I would never have known existed.
Good on theory but losses connection with GPS in narrow alleyways, making the app malfunction. Tried another tour in open spaces and worked fine. Devs responsive to the error I encountered which is great. Overall good experience but beware tours in old parts of cities with narrow alleys and relatively tall buildings where GPS won't work well.
Paid for a tour, it failed to download one of the audio files, hangs, crashes the app. Repeated attempts to get it to download fails until it randomly decided to download it properly. Works ok once it is all downloaded but the initial jankiness of the download process wasn't good
