VoiceThread

This is one of the worst app platforms in the history of apps. If I was not required to use it, for this one course, I would never have touched it. The app crashes constantly, won't load or play content, doesn't give status when uploading content, or anything any kind of professional platform should provide. Garbage.

Broken. I hate using it. The interface looks and functions horribly. It needs to be completely reworked.

Doesn't even work. My teacher decided to use it for a group assignment and the app wouldn't let us submit or click on anything!

This app doesn't work at all!! It keeps crashing and freezing. I can't go between sets of slides without it making me log in again. It won't allow me to open up lectures or submit assignments because it just locks up and I get an "app has stopped working" message. This app needs to be fixed immediately so that there is a working alternative to the PC version.

Constantly fails and shuts down with an error message when trying to load or open a voice thread. Consistently logs me out of the app. I have had this app for classes for about a year not. It's always been a pain and never worked that well, but now it is pretty much unusable. Really frustrating and disappointing No updates to fix it, either. Don't even try the app, just use a browser on a computer to use voice thread.

The Voice thread app has a great concept, but unfortunately lacks in functionality. There are quite a few bugs that need to be fixed in the app itself (hopefully they can be resolved soon and I can update my review). For reference, I am using the VoiceThread app on my Galaxy Tab S7+ with my SPen as a stylus. (Developer - how can I contact you to request but fixes? I'd love to see some improvements to improve functionality!) Feature Request - Markup "undo" button.. or eraser support on stylus!

It's a half baked janky app at best. If I wasn't forced to get this for a class I would never keep this on my phone. Some of the buttons don't even work and it keeps you in an infinite loop if you just try to back out of it. It's super slow and annoying to use and hardly does what it's supposed to. This is a teriible app I would never ever recomend to anyone.

I had to download this app for an online class, and I promptly uninstalled it as soon as I didn't need it. It took me nearly half an hour to create and upload two videos that totaled around 5 minutes. That extra time was used fighting the interface and waiting for the app to upload the videos. The upload and loading times were absolutely atrocious. If you have to use VoiceThread, use the PC version. It's marginally better and much less broken.

This app is horrible. I had to use it for school. For starters, if you have to upload a video it will take forever for it to download on the app. Secondly, it constantly logs you out, sends back to the sign in page and will never let you actually log in. I've only been able to get it to work once, even then it took probably an hour for my assignment to actually upload.

Worst app ever!!! Hey but you hear half a person's presentation Maybe and then it will not let you even sign in. The website goes to something that says it can't be reached and if you do get into the website it won't let you make a video or view more than a minute of someone else's. I have had to use this horrible thing for years and it has never gotten better.

IF YOU'RE AN ONLINE INSTRUCTOR, THEN PLEASE! FOR THE SAKE OF YOUR STUDENTS! DO NOT USE THIS FOR TEACHING! How do instructors require use of this garbage app when it clearly has awful ratings? It's worked fine for me for half the semester, but suddenly the interface has completely changed and I can't hear my instructor no matter what I do. This small hiccup means the world because this app is used for a large part of my grade. Thanks, teach, for requiring me to use this awful piece of work.

The app sounds useful, if you can log in. For some reason, the link from University of Maryland only works part of the time and puts you in a loop where you sign in through the school, navigate back to the voicethread link, and get told you have to sign in again. Their email sign-in link just freezes their app. Pretty poor infrastructure. I wouldn't pay money for it, and as a user you have to be prepared to work around it (e.g. email your voice files to your professor). Otherwise not bad.

Trash app. On my PC it automatically opens, logs me in, and loads my professors slideshows. I'm forced to use the app, I have to sign into the app, and even when I do it doesn't come up with any of my professors voice threads. What a waste of time!

VoiceThread constantly logs me out of my account which had become tedious when I have to do class assignments using this app. For some bizarre reason, it logs off after I finish a lesson. Since my net is not able to handle Voicethread on browser, I decided to work with the app instead. I hope this bug is fixed soon.

This is a very annoying app... Honestly I'd give it less stars if I could. Very slow and keeps malfunctioning and it drains data, it frustrated me so much. I used it for school and I nearly smashed my phone multiple times out of anger. Please work on it

My Japanese professor uses this in classes. We often have to type comments in Japanese as part of a graded assignment. I previously had no issues doing so, but now when I try to type Japanese characters they just show up as ???? after I save my comment. I had the write my comments on my computer rather than mobile to work around this, which takes away the convenience of doing it from my phone. I also have to log in every time, and the app loads incorrectly almost every time I try to use it.

For this to be apart of our online learning, in college. This app is a poor excuse. We should not have to struggle with this app to submit assignments. Please fix the issues. I'm sure I'm speaking for every college student who has graded assignments due, but have issues with Voice Thread.

I didn't even create videos on this app and I had issues. There's no full screen option for the mobile app and lots of wasted space around the video which makes any text used in the video very difficult to see.

It was working fine till now. Its asking me to login so I make an account which I didn't need before, click on the link and it won't open professor lectures. I don't know what happened in the last week but its extremely frustrating. And I can't watch the lectures on a mobile web.

Will not open my account, I've changed my password multiple times. Was finally able to get it open once and it would not open my content. Really upsetting because I found the Mobile App to very helpful in listening to my lectures.😥

Barely works, none of the voicethreads that are shared with me, and that I can see on my desktop, actually show up on the app... Ridiculous. This is the absolute worst app ever.

Worst app ever! Struggled for so many hours just to upload a single video for my class assignment. The interface is awful and the app suffers from a lot of performance issues. Shut this thing down asap

Stopped working and started prompting for log in after using it multiple times for class work. I only switched because it stopped working on my PC. Great idea, horrible technical implementation.
