VOLO Alert Messenger
The VOLO Alert Messenger app is the companion app for VOLO, LLC’s, VOLO Recovery product, to activate Alert Messenger simply use your existing username and password when logging in. The Alert Messenger APP is designed to keep you safe and informed when severe weather strikes the US. Alert Messenger knows where you are and actively alerts before severe weather events impact your current location. The VOLO Alert Messenger monitors NOAA's National Weather Service bulletins while simultaneously monitoring your position. If a weather bulletin is issued and you are in the path of the event, you will automatically receive an alert on your Android Device.
The Alert Messenger app also allows you to view weather forecasts for your location, as well as current and past alerts that have been issued by the NOAA on a map of the United States.

Great app. Easy to set up, easy to use.
Many of my friends have Weather Bug, Accu Weather, Weather Channel, etc... And one night they were all getting warnings for a tornado, but my VOLO app was silent. Turns out there was a great reason: the tornado alert wasn't for my neighborhood, but all the others send out a warning to the ENTIRE COUNTY - no matter whether or not the warning is for your area. Several hours later, when a tornado warning was given for my neighborhood, the VOLO app alerted me. Don't become a victim of the "app that cries wolf" - get the VOLO app instead!!
