Volume Lock

Much needed when your earphone (especially the ones with no volume buttons) acts up, imitating volume up/down clicks resulting in either constant max vol or mute. This app arrests the change in volume and bringing back to your preferred set level. Thanks, Alexander.

I have a Samsung S20+. After 2 or 3 updates my notification sound stopped working and no matter what I did I couldn't fix the problem. I tried several sounds from Zedge with no luck so I tried the Samsung sounds that come with the phone and that didn't work. So I tried several volume locker apps and that didn't work. It seemed that the phone was now controlling the notification sounds and all it would do was vibrate... then I found Volume Lock... problem solved.

S21. Great until it shuts down or is shut down by the OS. Also it doesn't automatically restart if the phone is rebooted or updated. Both problems diminish it's usefulness.

It worked fine for a day but the next day after I plugged in my earphones the volume stared fluctuating again. This app couldn't control my androids volume

works well but occasionally the phone seems to end the task. Not sure why it how. But while it's running it is excellent.

My work truck has MYLINK. For some reason it would always turn the volume on my phone off. I downloaded this in hopes of it stopping that from happening. For the most part it works but not all the time. For some reason the MYLINK overrides this control. I downloaded an additional volume lock app and between the two of them it has been pretty stable. Pixel 2XL.

I got this app in order to prevent my volume from being turned down if it was stolen. So far it works as described and I have not had any issues with my use of this app. The only thing is that I have not been able to get it to tell apart bluetooth alarm and actual bluetooth media. An example is last night I listened to a rain playlist with spotify for aid in sleep through a bluetooth speaker. I also had alarms set for work in the morning. ALSO I WANTED TO GIVE YOU AN IN DEPTH REVIEW BUT NO ROOM

Installed after having crazy issues with my volume just shutting itself down. It was due to keeping my phone in my pocket while working outdoors, high humidity and lots of sweat. I installed Volume Lock and I literally could see my volume indicator fighting to shut down. Volume Lock stopped it !! I've had the app for over a year now. It works 100%, never fails. I set the lock control where I want it and there's never a problem. Great thing is it also has controls for other areas like your alarm.

Switched on ads randomly after months of no ads. I would pay a fixed price for a premium app with no ads but this isn't an option. Uses a ridiculous coin system and forces you to watch fullscreen ads instead. I'm sorry, but this app is a small, nice-to-have thing, not something which justifies ongoing annoyances and payment. I expect much more from an app intended to draw revenue. Otherwise is a decent app (probably 4 stars) but sure many similar apps can do the same thing.

PERFECT for Android TV! Been a week now and I've been able to watch all my shows in Kodi without the volume suddenly being turned down to zero. For 10 days this would happen once a night, nearly every night, at random times. While the volume could be turned up by the remote, it was becoming a distraction knowing it would happen. Not sure what app caused this, as I haven't installed many, and the only one around that time was Total Commander, but this lock saved the day. I know a major gripe with phone users is notifications and fullscreen ads from this app, but on my Rockwell H96 Max 3318 Android TV box there is no notification area, and the only ads I've seen were at the bottom of the app the one time I locked the *Media, Music* level. Now it just autoruns in the background, so if it runs ads silently and invisibly to earn $ for the developer, I'm OK with that. So based on all that, I give it 5 stars.🤘

I am satisfied that the app doesn't turn off even after turning it off in background. Stays on and works perfectly. Also the range system is much much cool stuff. It's a great mixer of useful options for volume related. Just the ads are a bit annoying but now-a-days everything has ads. Also, good things comes at a price. This, the price is ads 😂. Anyway, good app. Appreciated.

It does its job, sort of... After a while my phone becomes glitchy and laggy, processes start to slow down and eventually I get the message "System UI isn't responding" which requires the entire phone to basically restart. I only use this app because my headphones keep lowering the volume for some reason. The app works in that regard, but it ends messing up the volume even with the headphones making it quiet and then louder than I want.

Volumne on s9 edge would fade as i worked around the yard, I downloaded app and it seems to do exactly what I needed. I can watch the volume try to lower but app has it locked. Music in my ear buds never changes which volume is in the red. BTW, design a app to bypass warning before you can crank up your phone. I did disable the advertisement which is a option and it's still free to use. This app just needs high reviews, that's the standard when hunting new apps. But I will turn it back on.

Google Pixel 2 xl, downloaded for the alarm volume issue, where it turns itself completely off throughout your volume changes during the day. Tried to use the "range feature" for it and it allowed me to adjust the volume outside of the range, didn't bounce it back and the volume stayed off and the test alarm did not go off. Definitely not working as expected.

Just started using this app to lock my alarm volume after finding it unexpectedly dropping on occasions. Weird bug I immediately noticed: with only alarm volume locked, attempting to change alarm volume in system volume settings causes ring volume to go from 0% to something like 10%. That's an unexpected side effect, and makes me concerned that this app might change volume settings I've not asked it to. I'm gonna give it a trial, but it would be good if the dev would look into this.

It sometimes fails to load and if the volume is inadvertently muted before I open it manually, it re-locks it to mute. Wouldn't be a big deal if the sliders didn't still show max volume but I have to then unlock the app , switch it to mute, then raise the volume and relock it. App has potential but now that my phone's volume rocker is worn out I need a very reliable softkey replacement.

I have been using this to fix a problem of my phone lowering the volume over night. Since installing the App it would show up as running in my notification panel. For the last 3 days it is not showing up in notification panel and is not working. Phone is back to old habit. I upgraded the App to 1.8 but no change.I will try to uninstall and reinstall to see if that helps. I give it 2 stars but would give it 5 if it was still working.

Gave this app 5 stars not only because it's exactly what I needed, but also because IT'S FREE! The only thing that I'd like to suggest to the developer is, for phones that have multiple user accounts, this app affects the volume setting for every user on the phone, I just think it'd be better if it only affected the profile of the user who download it, or at least only allowing the phones administrator to change the setting back. That is the only issue Ive had with this app. Thanks & Gr8 work!

The main Volume that I desire to Lock is "System" Volume, it's not listed as an Option... = Epic Fail for me on my Samsung Galaxy A71 5G

Good enough for now. it seems to be working fine so far, i had issues with volume while riding my motorcycle so i downloaded this app. Ive added a volume setting to my media so the music doesnt stop playing when im riding. The only thing that keeps it from 5 stars is that for me its missing an option to set some settings for headphones only, and a shortcut would be nice to turn on or off the app since i want to change the volume when im not using headphones

This app doesn't "lock" the volume, it just moves it back into place, so when you have a broken pair of headphones that constantly turns the volume down, all that happens is the volume fluctuates, which is arguably even more annoying than the thing that made me download the app in the first place.

Google doesn't understand that a lot of people still have radios that require you to make a physical audio cable connection. They've gone back to lowering your volume to below audible levels unless you are using a headset, yet they insist on being a nagging mother telling you that "high volumes can be harmful to your hearing" They need to allow bypass of this mothering feature! So far, your app makes Android audio a functioning service! Thanks!

Does not work, Can NOT Lock Volume at MAX. My LG v30 reset the Volume on its own.

It's good to used and it nice because it's really control my volume to auto up volume.

It seems to work well in the background, would be better if I can make different profile for different situations like with headphones on or without that. The app can save you from accidentally holding volume up straight to maximum while on headphones, if your own device cannot do that beforehand.

Great app! Picked up because of problems with my earphones (volume always being turned down), one thing that would be a good QOL update would be that the locking would automatically happen when you plug in your earphone and would be set to none when unplugged.

Would be better with an option to disable any volume control commands coming from your headphone jack. My headphones, which have 0 audio control capabilities, have been mucking with my volume for months. This is literally the only reason I have this app. If you could implement an option to completely disable any volume control from headphones, I'd be much obliged.

It does its job very will. I have a goodke pixel and they have always had a problem. Whenever you get a phone call the volume on the alarms is heavily reduced and when the call is over it doesn't turn the alarms back on. This application 100% solves the problem
