Good app to perform simple edits or to check balances. Its useful but very slow in loading and navigating; it can get annoying at times. The UX and code needs a total revamp in my opinion. I'm used to the Fidelity app which is AMAZING and has outstanding features along with a great UX.
UPDATED APP IS HORRIBLE!!! The old app was fast, easy to use & precise. This "new" app is clunky, not navigable, doesn't work half the time, slooooow, not all functions work, and you can't lock in your changes. When you do manage to lock in a change (rare) it doesn't save!! PLEASE GO BACK TO THE OLD APP!!!!
It's harder to navigate and find what you are looking for. They also removed data from the app and force you to a browser to retrieve it. Still transaction details seem to be missing and it's really not a great app or experience for managing your retirement.
New version is terrible, you can't do much of anything in the app any longer. The app redirects you to the browser to view practically anything. The layout changes are also terrible. I have no idea how anyone found this major update to be a quality of life improvement.
Not a good experience. Does not have same functionality or visibility as the web browser. Slider bars are difficult to use and not responsive. Have to constantly "make this a trusted device".
Great app. Had a little trouble registering, but customer service was exceptional. Turns out it was a wifi issue and nothing to do with the app itself. So, thanks Voya and keep up the good work.
Flaky login. Very limited functionality. Your better off opening the site in chrome. Often the app just stops connecting so you can't login but you can launch and login with chrome. Honestly cannot fathom a reason for having this app built other than to say we have one. If it's going to be this weak just use chromium and use the front end to login basically taking yo to the functional chrome app. When it will login you can at least see your balance. updates touting new features break it more
They updated the user interface so I added one more star... However unintuitive and clumsy to find account history in the app, and it just opens a link to their website where it is still clumsy and unintuitive to access your account history. I hate that my employer has partnered with Voya to manage my retirement.
This latest update will not let me login. Says username & password combination is not recognized even though I can use the exact same credentials through the website. Successfully changed my password but the app still says the new credentials don't match. PATHETIC!!!
Old version was better. This one has alot of glitches and very slow to load screens and logout is not automatic with Samsung back arrow like in old app. Loved the old version. If this persists will use online version only not this new app version.
This app has lost features that it once had. For example: when looking at the disbursements and how many shares and at what price they were bought, the app no longer calculates or shows any stats. In addition, before you could go back in history and look at your transaction history for longer than a month. Also, why does the app in the savings calculator only go to 10% savings. Is no one saving more than 10%? Overall, this app has gone backwards with functionality and needs to be updated.
This app is barely functional. It has a completely nonsensical navigation menu that inexplicably displays the same options both on the screen and in a "hamburger" menu. I can never find what I need other than super basics like total account balance. It's really like an intern created this as a first draft and they just shipped it and never improved it.
Used to be a lot better and make more sense. This new set up is hard to navigate and doesn't have the features it had before... or at least I can find them (see "hard to navigate")
No longer works since the update. I can't even log in. Keeps telling me my username and password do not match. UPDATE...I figured out why I couldn't log in. It seems Voya will no longer accept passwords with a "?" In them. It would have been nice to have been informed of this. Changed my password and now the app will login fine.
Too simplified. Won't even show me the dates and amount of each contribution, only contributions for the last quarter or year to date. Won't show me the performance of the holdings or fluctuations in the value of each. It's like they don't actually want investors to know what is being done with their funds.
The old app that was available just Saturday had graphs and charts and was much easier to visualize and read. Apparently in the middle of night they changed it to some sterile page after page Bank layout.
Very frustrating to have the option of remembering your username and use face and touch ID and have it never work. It's difficult to navigate to find simple things like your contributions.
It works OK. Would prefer something closer to web browser display. Too many clicks to get to information. No ability to make tables more compact. Will not be keeping it installed.
Since update, mostly inaccessable. If you want any info you still have to go online using your PC, and go to the website. Update: after removing the App and reinstalling it, it still didnt work. I tried this twice in the last few days. The develper responded, I reinstalled the app a 2rd time today, and now it seems to work. Its handy to quickly check your balances when it is working.
It is a great app but it needs a lot of work, I will like to see how much my account get a loose per statement to feel a little more confident about the investment pick or to make changes as needed.
I loved the old app. It opened to your accounts and their balances. Now you have to make multiple moves to even get to this information. I will NOT be using this app to check my accounts unless I absolutely have to.
App is still slow to load. Prior display of the balances is better, ie the current year show its balance the same prior year despite that this year-to-date is less than last year.
Unfortunately I can no longer find my transactions in the app. In my opinion this app is only useful for account balances. I need to see the individual transactions to this account!
Not user friendly. Doesn't appear you can change the variables in the retirement calculator. Dashboard is remedial at best. Overall functionality of the app is limited and everything points to their advisors which tells me they are ok with their sub-par application, they are just trying to sell you more stuff. Would move away but this is through CO 401k so I have no choice but to deal with this antiquated garbage.
Doesn't give enough detail. Check fidelity for best app on market. Fidelity will give you growth rates (easily) by custom time frame. I can easily check daily my gain/loss of the day and total gain/loss. Really wish more functionality seen in Fidelity was present here.
03/26/2022, The latest version is worse. It lost the historic graph features and is still slow. I prefer the older version.
The app updated on 3/25/22 and the previous problem I'd had with not seeing my account balances on the home screen have been fixed, so I've changed my rating to four stars.
The app itself is okay but they need to include features on it that the website has too (like supporting documents, rollover-in forms, etc). Talking with the customer service itself is awful. I had the worst time trying to rollover one voya account to another voya account. Voya doesnt communicate AT ALL. They never called me back about open tickets. Nobody had the same answers as to how to initiate and complete the rollover. Worst experience ever and lots of stress.
