VPN for Privacy VyprVPN

Overall great performance in certain countries can use improvements. It would be great if it can offer shortcut(by long press the app icon) or quick setting tiles for connecting/disconnecting. Widget is so outdated.

What happened to tunneling/per app connection? Its suddenly gone? Which is quite annoying when there's numerous apps and websites the block vpns and you have to constantly turn it off in order to get access which tunneling used to solve.

Payed for a 3 year membership! Installed on my phone and computer. Got a new computer and it won't let me log on contacted customer service to get a password reset because it would not send me an email. They told me my account in inactive and I have to pay for the subscription but it's literally working on my phone logged in as I type. And you can't change your password from the app have to log in.

Awesome VPN service that fits all my needs. An affordable yearly subscription, can be installed on multiple devices, tons of servers, and no logs. It has a good amount of customization settings for device startup, kill switches, connection per app, different encryption protocols, etc. The only issues I have are that I can't seem to add my cellular network as a trusted network, and also the app sometimes gets stuck on "disconnecting" in my notification drawer despite being disconnected.

Hands down the best security I've ever seen since the military, and even then, better then them. Very easy to install and run. And nothing, and I mean nothing, has tested faster or is more secure. You can make your cell more secure then the phone in the Oval office in just minutes !!!

No split tunneling. Slow to connect. Average speeds. Okay-looking app.

Not bad but the split tunnelling doesn't have an option for Android Auto so I had to manually disable the VPN in my car. I've now moved to the free version of Thunder VPN which does have Android Auto in it's App Filter setting.

Great protection, fast install, and very reliable services... we would recommend this service for anyone looking to protect their private information.

Have come to the end of 3-year subscription. Looked around at other VPNs, trialed a few, they're ALL better than vypr now. Also, although I stopped my subscription payment, I still have two months left - and vypr apparently already cancelled my account! I got kicked out, ripped off, and I'm not interested in contacting the non-existent customer service to clear up the issue. I'll be surprised if this company is still on the market in the years time.

Just bought a new phone and unable to use this app because it just keeps saying it can't find a server but my internet works perfectly. Troubleshooted 10+times and got no where.

Fails to connect to (any of their) servers on a regular basis, hence the service is not reliable. When it works, the performance is good. But expect the connection to drop without you noticing that you are not protected by the VPN anymore. There is no ad hoc kill switch, just a permanent one that you would have to disable manually every time you do not want to use the VPN; when automatic reconnect is enabled, the kill switch should be on automatically until the connection has been reestablished

Pretty cool if you don't actually care about your security. Very good if you have a lot of free time to try and retry until you connect. Great if you don't mind constant, constant interruptions -- sometimes without a notification even. Fantastic if you want an application that occasionally shows you as connected to a VPN when you're not (this is my favorite feature!) Nice if you like to be driven up a wall trying to figure out why your WiFi is out only to discover it's working perfectly fine and the vypr app is blocking it even though it's disconnected (second favorite "feature"). Wonderful if you enjoy spending hours with customer service being told over and over again to "disable your firewall" before finding out it was a server problem. Magnificent if you're a collector of apps with UIs that sometimes stop responding altogether, just for fun. Overall, 10/10, *chef's kiss*, whatever the current expression is. But seriously though, vyprVPN can **** all the way off. Its one redeeming quality is that it has servers in countries where other services don't (when it works, that is.)

I love this vpn so much but there is only one issue that I need it to be clarify when i try to connect to a server it keeps disconnecting please solve this please

well the VPN does not stay on all the time and I have re initialize it's as this is my first VPN I have nothing to compare it with so it looks good. other than that I think it's working

I live in China and I've been using this VPN for the past six months, and I have to say I've had a close to awful experience so far. It usually takes a long time to connect on my laptop (it connects much quicker on my Android phone) and when it does it drops the connection pretty quickly, or it stays connected but there's no download or upload to be had. The last month has been unbearable. It fails to connect 9/10 times. I'm currently writing this review from a free VPN! Customer service replied to me once a while back and ever since then I've contacted them a few more times but received no reply. I don't know if this product is good for other places, bit it is disappointing for China (at least for me). Hope it gets better.

The service itself is superb. It can be utilized across multiple devices and platforms, with speeds, availability, and latency good enough to even play multiplayer games. However, when if comes to the android app, I have to knock off two stars. This is because the app randomly disconnects and enters a nebulous "reconnecting" state without alerting the user, which is incredibly dangerous. It completely nullifies the point of using a VPN. I've tested the app across multiple devices: same issue.

Close relatives and friends of mine who work in IT section have been using VyprVPN for many years now. And it is a great app, really. Unfortunately, I didn't have the same luck or experience as them. I wasn't able to connect to any servers and had log in issues. For the times it worked, it was amazing. But I just had to many issues. I'm giving VyprVPN a 4/5 because of the customer support team.

was fine until update (summer 2019) UPDATE: Ive had this service for less than 4 months and have experienced issues on both Android and Apple OSX since the update. Update 2 (July 2019): This app continues to have issues with its auto-connect/reconnect feature. additionally, there have been multiple and random occasions where i notice the VPN isnt connected at all. This would be fine but the Kill-Switch feature seems to be spotty as well. I will definitely not be renewing my subscription.

Unfortunately I can't give this a good review. While the app worked fine and the service worked, during my free trial I ran into technical issues and tech support while initially having pretty good response eventually stopped responding at all. At the same time I was unable to access the web portal from either my phone or computer as their site seemed to be having trouble and the only listed customer service line went right to a busy signal. Worst of all they charged me $60 before I could get it cancelled despite multiple emails to tech support about my issues accessing the web portal and request to cancel service. Sorry guys but if I run into so many tech issues during my free trial it doesn't speak very highly of you. The VPN worked and the app was easy enough to navigate that's about all I can say that's positive. I'll be going with another VPN service

Pre-update this was by far the best and most informative VPN app out there. New app is not bad, but it is like all the other ones out there. I, for example, can't fathom why someone would ever even think of removing the up/downloadspeed graph function. I got a subscription because of the android application (windows desktop version is pretty horrific), but post-update I am seriously thinking of cancelling. I hope the next update will bring back the informative nature that made the app great.

using it for Android as well as PC while live streaming in 1080p for the last 3 wks-- overall, it's been pretty good. sometimes at certain times during the day it seems to stop my stream/glitch, but when it's functioning everything has been smooth. for the 2yr subscription cost, it's been worth it so far. I'm hoping to have less disturbances as I continue but will update as I know.

I have this app set to start vpn on connection to an unsecured wifi. The problem is that the VPN connection drops regularly without warning, and doesn't restart, with the app notification still saying that it's connected. Please fix. Additionally, the app started automatically connecting to VPN when the phone connects to a trusted WiFi. I wouldn't mind if that didn't use extra battery, but it does, so needs to be fixed.

This app repeatedly disconnects on a chromebook that has the ability to run Android apps. (Using the Chromebook VPN settings was just as bad.) Not only will it disconnect, but the kill switch feature does not work. So, I have to check whether it is running every time I get on the Chromebook, because if Vypr disconnected, I can end up accidentally browsing without protection from a VPN.

Yes, it works. Yes, it's secure. That being said, it's still an annoying app to use. They had a good UI and then they changed it to a stupid, lame, lackluster one that doesn't tell me anything. The worst "feature" this app has is "trouble shoot the connection error". Remove it. It's the most pointless thing to have. There's no need to trouble shoot the connection, just try again. Stop wasting my GD time with this nonsense, I'm already using chameleon protocol.
