VPN shortcut

very easy to use

Almost every widget pack out there does not include a vpn switch, so this is a godsend. I like the status bar thing, can't find the option to change it anyway. I would like the app to autoload with phone, so you never have to press the shortcut, just use the status notification.(edit: it DOES do this).

This works fine. It is stable etc. However i would ask that a routing entry is put in for the immediate local network once the vpn is established. I currently have to use a pc to cast remote (via vpn) to a local tv. I have my android app connected to a local Chromecast device and once i connect to the vpn my Chromecast connection drops and all i can see are Chromecast devices at the other end of the vpn 3000 miles away.

Nice simple concept that works as intended. However, there's no need to add the icon to the status bar; it takes up precious real estate on the status bar and the VPN's "Key" icon already signifies that VPN is turned on. So, the VPN Shortcut icon is redundant. I am therefore removing the app because I'd rather save the space for notifications. Suggestion to the Author: if there's a way to make this a generic app that allows shortcuts related to utility-based settings, that would be very useful. Thanks

Unlike VPN-Menu this app doesn't ask for extraneous permissions. It works as stated with no adware. My only gripe is with the logo; I don't like the pastel colors because they don't match my other apps. Five stars regardless.

Great app. **PLEASE NOTE** The majority of the 'non perfect' scores out there reflect a comment about the icon showing in the status bar and the desire for the app developers to correct this on the next version. THERE IS NO NEED for developers to get involved. It is a simple setting adjustment in your phone that removes that 'tragic' icon! Settings -> (Device) Applications -> Application Manager -> Scroll to VPN Shortcut Icon -> Select -> Top of Screen is a Box to Check and/or Uncheck "Show Notifications" -> UNCHECK WALA! No more icon taking up valuable real estate! Now, if there are any OTHER issues with this app that become noticeable as time progresses, I will re-adjust my rating as they become known.....

Status bar notification is not a good idea. The taps saved by using the app is taken back in clearing it from status bar. Add move to SD card option.

Does what it is designed to do. Was bother by the icon showing up in the status bar. Another reviewer suggested going in to the application setting to disable this and that also worked.

Just like the other reviews, it works very well but I wish I could disable the status bar icon. 5 starts off the dev ads this option.

When I tap on it in notification area, it "tries" to launch, but goes back to home screen and nothing happens

The app does exactly what I was trying to achieve on a Galaxy S6. I couldn't find a way to setup a shortcut to the VPN menu option, the previously accessible shortcut widget is no longer available. This installed and upon launching takes me directly to the VPN menu, thanks!

After I used the 'App Info' option to get rid of the Statusbar Icon, it works as I like. No need to create an UI for a straigtforward solution like this. The Statusbar feature can be really helpful if you change often, as I only use this sparely, blocking it works like a charm.

Shame android doesn't have a gadget to take you to the VPN settings, but this app is the mustard and does the trick.

Great blessing app. Common sense doesn't always come from Google. Just the app i needed. I hate google makes have go setting and push more then push vpn then push connect.

Does what it says. Puts a shortcut to vpn settings. If you do not want to see its icon on tray, simply turn off notifications for the app. Good one.

Simple and does exactly what I was looking for. If you don't wanna see the icon in the status bar go into the app settings and disable notifications.

Very inconvenient would not connect I kept hitting the connect button and it would say connecting and then unsuccessful absolute waste of my time

Please provide option to disable the icon in the status bar.

Nice work. The status bar icon is a nice touch. The App Notification options are perfect. Long press the heads up notification to access these easily.

This VPN shorcut plus LMT Pie control is great way to quickly activate your VPN connections. love it!!!

Does what it needs to, adds a shortcut to the built in VPN connectivity settings so its quicker to access, though as some have said, the sticky isn't really useful and slightly annoying.

Simple and it does what it says! What would be better is to drop the notification and use widget instead.
