Note:
As of Android 9 (LineageOS 16), the IP address of the wifi hotspot is no longer fixed at 192.168.43.1; a new (apparently) random one is used each time the hotspot is turned on. Effectively, this means the procedure no longer works. To make it work on Android 9, you would need to find the IP address of the hotspot and change the default gateway to that IP address for all devices connecting to your hotspot.
No internet connection?
The core of the problem is that the VPN tethering device doesn’t give out proper IP information to the client devices when they connect. But you can manually configure those client devices to have static IP addresses, gateway and if needed DNS.

Needs updated.. This thing works sometimes but after awhile, the vpn will d/c and not reconnect.. If turn this on also in samsung dex and then unplug phone, it will lose connection all at once. This will be a great tool if could get it to stop disconnecting.
So i love this. Its pretty fantastic! But now i am struggling to figure something out. I use the no root option because lol... Sorry i dont trust that right now dont know enough about it. Set it up as instructed. And now i cant update anything using a client. My games refuse to go through. Discord just doesnt work. What am i doing wrong?
Does not work on a rooted Pixel 6 Pro. Also, the UI -- specifically the start/stop button -- is confusing.
I paid $10.00 USD closed and shutdown app clicked on the vertical ... then click on the donation, and it told me ads are removed closed and shutdown app again, and ads were still there. Do not see where or how this app is doing anything. Would request refund, but not know how to go about getting a refund. Horrible app! Do not donate or trust this app to do anything for you.
Donated as requested for No Root use. App continues asking for a donation and does not allow No Root use nor have the ads disappeared. Will change rating if and when the donation unlocks the app and it actually works. update....contacted Google Play for and received a refund. DO NOT DONATE! You will not receive anything! UPDATE Even with root app no longer tethers your VPN so app is useless. Seemed likely since no updates beyond summer 2020.
Maybe for me but It doesn't have connect button. Even after doing necessary steps and inputting proxy in other devices, it shows authentication failed in browser.yak
so happy to have! love especially the proxy method without root! it's really an unburden to the root daemon. but I'm glad to have the root method, too. thank you so! donated right now, cause this app's just fabulous! this app is great + it works without root. most 1* ratings here are cause a claim that app requires root. this is SPAM imo + should be removed. an app shouldn't be rated low, because it has root features or requires root. this simply ain't enough info to rate an app.
Pretty disappointed that this app makes no mention of the fact that a rooted phone is required in order for this app to work. I wouldn't have installed it if I had of known because my phone is not rooted. Can the dev kindly mention that root is required? It would save him/her the disappointment of 1 star ratings.
Works perfectly thank you! For the no root method to work, remember to set a proxy on the device that's connecting to the hotspot as per the guide.
It is currently not working with expressvpn. When it was working, this was one of the most useful apps on my phone. Hopefully it can get an update soon
I would be willing to bet that this only has bad reviews because you have to donate to use this app effectively without root. After donating $1.99 or what ever the lowest price was it worked perfectly.
This app works for me with root. Is there any way you can add a quick settings toggle switch? That would make this app perfect and I'd consider donating for that.

recently i have an issue... i have express vpn in my mobile.. but when i use the vpn tether its not detecting the vpn connection and saying please connect to vpn first... extremely frustrated. pls solve this
This app helps a lot! I just want to share my socks5 proxy via hotspot, tried many apps, only this one works.

does not work on pixel 3 with Android P vzw.... says you have internet and connection but nothing loads so for hiding teather on the new pixel 3 dev needs to update with a fix or..... find another work around.
I am ROOT, app granted permissions. App did not work, use another app instead, others will work!
Said it didn't need to permission before I installed it, then after installed it wouldn't work without it. I hate liars.

Waste of time. App does literally nothing. Even "how to use" option is no help.
Works great except for when the VPN disconnects the VPN tether doesn't automatically reconnect. This happens once a day. If you're not by your phone then the internet's going to be down and you have no way of restarting it until you get back to your phone. Is it possible to put a switch in the settings that would enable it to automatically reconnect if it is ever disconnected?
