Okay when it works, but I swear they don't test their app much before updating it - currently it is literally impossible to sign in on the Firestick version due to the remote's d-pad selection being stuck on the "I agree to receive marketing emails" selection box. It will not move down to the "Send Login Code" button beneath, and so the service is once again unseable to me. Rubbish!
I rarely give reviews, but I make an exception when I find a real 'keeper'. I've used VPN Unlimited for many years. 5? More? And it's always been a very reliable, secure service. Very happy. A discount code for the lifetime option made it an absolute bargain! But even without the code, I believe the payment options are really quite reasonable. And it continues to improve! With more features, services and options added over time. Great security. Great peace of mind. Thank you KeepSolid ;)
About 9.0.0: It was more informative to have load of VPN servers in percentage instead of current bars (but bars more friendly for users as it similar to mobile signal level). Previous UI was more simple, maybe some sort of material design that has less elements so can look cooler with less efforts. Current UI is like old IOS design - it is cool, but it's elements mock real objects so it harder to make it cool than material. Now it looks undone. Start button cover world map with VPN servers.
I purchased a lifetime subscription a few years ago gor torrenting and the one time I had issues (my PC had a replacement NIC card problem) customer service was quick to respond, so I've recommended this service to quite a few friends & family. FWIW I noticed y'all added ukranian colors to the icon on the phone app and it prompted me to come leave this review. Keep up the good work!
Not the best service, but this is just the best company. Truly honest in everyway. I'm sure that they did not intend to conceal their true origin by renting a virtual office in NY while HQ is in another country. And I'm equally sure that they do not intend to shutoff your service because of politics and thereby breaking your contract as a paying customer. No, that could never happen. Zig Zelensky!!
The app itself works really nice, the one thing I'd like to see every once in a blue moon is some one off purchase promos like other VPN providers do. Other than that. so far so good.
This recent update is awful. It looks clunky and generic. A definite downgrade from how it looked. I have no problems with connection speed or anything like that though.
Awesome. highly recommended. it's fast and stable. but I also have a criticism. As a middle eastern, I don't like suggesting middle eastern countries as optimal servers because we use VPN to bypass the restrictions and no middle eastern country believes in online freedom
VPN works as good as any. Expect 50% speed loss, which is normal for VPN's. Always tries to steer me to "optimal" server, when I specifically requested a particular country or server.
Despite having a lifetime subscription (or because of it), and the app getting constant updates, the vpn connection is unstable no matter what server I choose. The app twkes 30 seconds to start, on par with AAA mobile games! I'm trailing other services and they feel like having a brand new device.
Would help if it could sign you in before connecting to a public network, but when it is connected, it is normally a solid and reasonably fast connection. A test connection to establish the VPN while blocking all other traffic until the VPN is up and running, then releasing the connection once it's secure, would be better.
When the app works it is okay.....I guess. I have had it for about a year and it locks up my connection about three times a week. I have to go to settings and force stop it. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the app numerous times. Is it cheap? Yes. But it should probably be free imo.
Latest update seems to have made the app load faster. Connection speeds are still just ok, certainly not fast. Sadly the bug of Split Tunneling "app exceptions" turning itself off still exists.
The new version 9 fails to load to enable and set options on Firestick 4K. Have reinstalled previous version. Please fix ๐Edit, let me know when v 9 (03 May) is updated, to save my time.
Overall, an excellent VPN. Great speeds. Reliable. Just don't like the "Extend your protection" ad that's on the home page. Can we not keep it in the purchases tabs. Certainly better than most of the popular VPNs
Fails every time. Never keeps a connection long enough to actually use the service. And if it does, it makes all the apps so slow, it is useless to even try.
Hello. In the new update, the speed of your application has increased a lot. It opens in the shortest possible time and connects quickly. Thank you very much for you and your professional and specialized team.
Fantastic VPN provider in terms of price to performance. They even provide coupons for once in a while to try out the premium version for free without any limits, which is first in the market because of the duration of the trial. Even beyond that speeds are great, easily better than widely popular "Nord VPN" and streaming servers. Keep it up guys, you guys are doing great, because of that uniqueness (generous uncapped/unrestricted trial) itself makes many people to buy it after the trial ends.
Excellent VPN service! I've experienced no dropped connections or DNS leaks, offers unlimited bandwidth, fast speeds, kill switch function, user selectable VPN protocols, and multi-platform/OS client apps. I was skeptical at first when I acquired a lifetime plan, but I've been pleasantly surprised. In fact, I've since purchased a second lifetime plan, and upgraded each with additional device slots. I've also purchased a few plans as gifts for family. Definitely a recommended VPN service.
2/5 stars because of 2 reasons. 1, the splash screen takes forever to load. That's a pretty bad start compared to other VPNs. And 2, a super useful toggle on the quick panels is missing. Hope it soon gets implemented and the annoying super long splash screen is finally gone. Quality and speed-wise of the VPN itself are superb, no complaints there
Connection was unstable and too poor speed you can get lower than 1/10 of speed your broadband has.Mine is 300mbps in vpn i get only an speed of 25 to 30 mbps even after switching to various server protocol.
Their stealth mode is great for restrictive wifi that does not allow vpn. Works as a charm and speeds are pretty decent.
The recent app update on Google TV and Nvidia Shield will not let me log in. Just keeps asking me to sign up and telling me my email address is not valid. There is no option to log in.
When it works it works. The app sometimes fails to load on the Amazon Fire TV Cube forcing me to uninstall and reinstall. Clearing the data or cache or restarting the device does not resolve the issue so uninstall is the only option. On Windows 10, it connects but sometimes there is no internet so I have disconnect and reconnect. Sometimes when I disconnect from the VPN, I have no internet forcing me to restart the computer. I've tried running diagnostics first but it only suggests a firewall issue.
Good. Hoping for: 1. Improved app launch speed, otherwise, connect/disconnect via the notification is quick. 2. Ability to have the phone OS treats VPN as unmetered WiFi. That way, features in other apps like auto-download, backups, etc. will still work (without treating the VPN session as "mobile data" in use).
At this moment in time its about as useful as a glass eye. Its bad it spins every second connecting and disconnecting. If its not adressed pronto, I'll take my business elsewhere.
Thank you so much for (finally!) listening to our begging and giving us a dark theme, for those of us on older Android versions! ๐๐ค Never regretted the lifetime subscription we got years ago. You are really the best VPN.
I got a lifetime subscription and while I haven't had a chance to try other services, after having this VPN for the last two/three years, I wish I had researched a bit more before going for this one. There's a lot of sites that will recognise their IP's and it won't work, some times I can work around it but others not really. I think the feature that bothers me the most to the infinite is that they will monetise each feature to the max. Turns out you have to pay extra if you want to remove more than one device out of your limited allowed devices per week. It's that mentality that puts me off from buying anything else from them, because they will try to find a new manner to charge me for something eventually. I'd expect that for a freemium app, but not something I paid for and not a small amount. I haven't had security issues using their VPN, and it works. As I said I can't compare with other services or prices, but I wouldn't be surprised you eventually just get charged for breathing with the VPN on. Look around carefully before you go for this one.
