VpnCilla (Trial)
Before you buy the Full Version of "VpnCilla", please test with this free "VpnCilla (Trial)".
VpnCilla is a VPN Client for VPN Servers as FritzBox, Cisco PIX/ASA, Fortigate or other VPN Servers with IPSec Pre-shared Keying (Xauth IKE/PSK).
Features:
* No root access needed (if the device fully conforms to Android 4)
* Compatible with Fritzbox, Cisco PIX/ASA, Fortigate VPN Servers and others (?)
* Connects/Disconnects with a single click (by a Shortcut-Widget)
* Automatic Reconnect Mode on WiFi/Mobile failover/outage
* Supports Multiple Profiles
* Supports automatic Cisco Split Routing
* Passwords may be stored in profile or always manually entered when connecting (which is much more safe)
* Profile automatically transferred to full version (don't uninstall the Trial until the first run of the full version)
Advanced Settings:
* Possibility to specify WiFi Blacklists/Whitelists to explicitely deny/allow VPN on only specific WiFi ESSDs
* Possiblity to specify Manual Routes and/or DNS Server and much more...
Restrictions:
- Mention the security risk if passwords are stored in profile in case your device will be hacked or stolen!
- VpnCilla runs only if the TUN driver (tun.ko) as well as the the Android 4 VPN routing infrastructure is included in the firmware. UNFORTUNATELY NOT ALL DEVICE MANUFACTURER YET HAS INCLUDED IT!! Check with "VpnCilla (Trial)" first!
- Only IKE/PSK Xauth authentication is supported (no PPTP, no L2TP, no Hybrid RSA, no SSL, no Cisco AnyConnect, ...)
- supports IPv4 only (no IPv6)
- supports WLAN/WIFI as well as Mobile Data up to 3g. VpnCilla is unstable over 4g (LTE) on some devices / with mobile providers
- Active Screenfilter apps as Twilight or Lux might prevent selecting of the security dialog checkbox
- VpnCilla can't handle phase 1 rekeying initiated by the VPN server. On Fritzboxes this will occure after 1h connection time whereas on Cisco VPN servers the rekeying interval is configurable and by default after 8h. Typically the session stalls for 2-3 minutes until VpnCilla initiates a reconnect.

When trying to connect it says "no vpn server address, no username" etc, but all this data is added to the profile. There's no "save" / "discard" button when editing profile, it's confusing - you never know if profile was saved.
Working great on ChromeOS. I'm connecting to a Cisco ASA 5505 and I needed a VPN client that could support IPSEC IKEv1 XAUTH-PSK. VPNCilla is working (I had already been using vpnc from a linux container but needed an android vpn client to provide connection to both the browser and to the linux container). [Copied from my review of the paid version]
Native Fritzbox VPN Installation works without issues. Same installation with VpnCilla seems to work (Connection is established), however no network access seems possible.
Worthless. App immediately closes when tapping Connect.
not working on Huawei phone just asking to fill out the settings even settings are filled out.
Does not allow IPSEC Identifier to be blank. Does not work with Unifi devices.
vpnc seems to be outdated. always reported ISAKMP_N_PAYLOAD_MALFORMED(16) with the server end is a strongswan.
keeps crashing on Galaxy Note FE, Android 9

Android 7.1 brooked xauth VPN to our Palo Alto endpoint. After googling around many found many angle Android users in the same boat and recommend this app. So far works like a champ! Wish Google just pay these guys and roll their code into their OS and call it a day.
Give me secret of group and paswd of user, to try the trial, will then rate and possibly upgrade by buying.
Excellent program. Works well when out of the box VPN won't. Very happy.
Doesn't work with cisco rv120w. Phase 2 fatal error. Tried ever configuration I could think of.
I used the trial version and it's great. I will buy the full and I will suggest it to all my friends. But I noticed one issue. The software connects and disconnect continuously. You think is a problem with the Internet connection? This problem appears frequently once I am using Google Play

I downloaded this to test. By the time I found the documentation to configure my router the trial had expired. Maybe it should be limited on number of times it connects.
Works on Galaxy S4 from mainland China, quick connect, hope the reg version won't be too expensive since I'm already buying Witopia
Works like a charm on EZ-VPN with XAuth for Cisco IOS routers. very easy setup and a must for anyone who needs a small and fast client. recomended!!
It works
We had an issue using the native Android VPN client to connect using XAuth. Tried a few options with none of them working. This one worked off the bat perfectly.
Finally able to connect my Motorola Xoom and Nexus 4 to my work VPN Cisco IPSec with RSA. Can‘t wait to buy.
Finally have Cisco VPN on android again. Will be buying the full version soon. Galaxy Note 2 running CM10.1
Received an error upon tapping the Group password option. Contacted developer via email.
Had to enable NATT mode and then use --domain flag and worked flawlessly. Great job! Will be purchasing.
Brilliant! Took less than 2 minutes to install and setup, immediately connected to my FritzBox! Will definitely purchase in the next 10 days. I can't do without this app. Thanks Matthias. PS Installed on Fire HD 7th Generation - the one where Amazon removed the ability to setup a VPN.
