A year ago I gave the app a low rating due to the tendency of the app to shut down. Now the application works beautifully enabling me to enjiy my favorite classical station uninterrupted. There are many programs and features available on the app that unfortunately, I've just not had the time to explore. In time.
Great information and references well-arranged
Randomly stops playing (even when staying home on wifi) Doesn't switch networks well (also stops) Rarely saves your spot if you pause and answer the phone or do anything else That said, it's VPR and the quality of the news can't be beat... Well maybe the BBC, but not by much Better rewinding would be cool too....
Need chromecast capabilities. When I switch from wifi to cell data, the broadcast starts over, including the underwriting. Easily missing important parts of stories.
It’s nice to have access to live and recorded programs on the app. The programs are varied, too. I would highly recommend the Vermont Public Radio app to anyone seeking quality programs.
Really enjoyable.. a whole range of audio and written subjects. Excellent classical music too. Vermont is well served by this app, and in these uncertain times it's a pleasure to use.
It's great...for 10 minutes. Then it shuts itself off (every time I use it) and I have to wake up the phone in order to get it going again. I've gone back to listening through the browser. If there's a setting to override this, I haven't been able to find it.
Frustrating app, like the content, but, the app is clunky, slow to load, drops the connection ungracefully, difficult to navigate. And, I can't get the alarm function to work at all
Local people providing local, regional, national, worldwide news, events, and music, all with interest and impartiality.
I love the easy navigation. I have trouble with it stopping play after about 12 minutes, and I have to go restart it. Frustrating, but otherwise I like this app
This app allows me to access all of VPR's streams and on-demand content from anywhere. It's clean, convenient and works great. Don't forget to support them with a donation. Thank you VPR!
I love having VPR classical available when I'm out of state (which is most of the year) in places with limited classical radio or local stations that simply aren't up to the quality I'm used to from VPR.
Crashes very often. Extremely sensitive to touch. Start app, put down phone, app goes off. Intro public service announcement when starting listening is way higher than normal and hurt ears.
Works well. I love having vpr on my phone.
more convoluted and frustrating to navigate. Used to be able to go to other programs, now show shuts off. Liked the old one better!
I love listening to VPR however the volume with this app is too quiet. Even at full volume, it is difficult to hear if you are not right next to the phone.
Nicely redesigned interface. VPR is my choice for classical music, and the app is fully functional.
Hard to navigate, can't find a menu. Annoying to use in Vermont where cell service spotty and frequently slow.
Functions well. Great national and local news coverage. It's nice to be able to access all that VPR has to offer in 1 app.
Keeps us informed wherever we are with unbiased news. If the news is overwhelming we can easily switch to classical, jazz, folk or a podcast. VPR enhances our quality of life.
I enjoy VPR but since they changed the app the stream cuts out constantly. Does not work with my headphones anymore.
Three stars is not a reflection of the VPR content, which I love. The playback stream occasionally repeats the same 20 second interval.
great set of stories from across the state. app is very easy to navigate and save stories for later
Probably the best NPR-related station anywhere. Certainly the best I've heard for news, information, entertainment and opinion.
I love listening to many NPR stations at home. When I am out walking I tune into the app via Bluetooth. What I find annoying are the interruptions for advertising, especially when they occur at inopportune times, sometimes causing you to miss the heart of the story or the punchline. Do the adverts at the start and ad, as is the case with broadcast radio. Also the app sometimes looses the signal and does not always start back up.
