I'm looking for an app that simulates the Ecto Goggles night vision goggles from Ghostbusters and so far this one is pretty good. Wish it didn't have a double screen, but I understand that it's trying to simulate actual goggles. Maybe if I had a VR headset to slide my phone into. Yeah!
Good app, To those complainers - you show your very bad lack of seeing what's in plain sight like what's shown in the photos & what's written as you need to get an InfraRed light source (you can make one from old IR remotes you have laying around) & either use old phone or modify one that has a IR filter on the camera. To check if your phone/s has an IR filter point an IR remote control at your phones camera & if it has no filter it should light up bright when you press a button on the remote
Honestly I like much about this app, the one problem is that it does not actually work with my night vision setup because it will not allow me to use a USB camera. If this app will allow you to use a USB camera it would be perfect and I'd give it five stars. It does get two stars because the IR mode does actually help it pick up a little bit more but without removing your IR filter it's just not going to work ................... Edit Reply to Dev, you know what thats fair. I'll even update it and give an extra star (I now see here that 3 stars shows it as Just OK which I think describes it best). You certainly don't claim that it does have that capability. The 2 stars off is less of you did what you say badly and more of it just does not do much. I think what you have done is really neat and if you could add the ability to use an external camera, I'd likely buy it for the compass and other cool features you've got in there.
So it seems it could be better but in 3d mode i can't merge the optics so i see double. Before toy ask yes ive adjusted my viotek goggles. And they work fine with other products. Also it would be nice if there were some on screen vr controls for zooming and adjusting light/contrast settings.
I am Impressed! I have a Blackview Bv6600Pro Thermal phone. This is first app I ever found to select which camera to use! More impressed is that because I have thermal infrared I am able to use 940nm Ir Flashlight and spotlights! So now I have Thermal and Nightvision on one phone! Thank you so much! Please make a pro ad free app even though is great this app dous t show many.
Missed opportunity. Add options to turn up camera exposure and gain and you might be getting somewhere. Integrate flir/thermal cameras for the phones that have it and you will DEFINITELY get paying customers.
I believe this app only needs 1 thing to make it like simulated night vision, Flash. With that you wouldn't need to mod your phone to have ir lights and still seem like its actual night vision.
This is a great ap. It just took time to set up each feature's appropriate parallax to suit my google carboard.
Best app ever and makes me feel like a robot!🤖👍 The only thing this is missing is the ability to record what you see. So far you can only take screenshots.
It has a lot of lag and its very zoomed in. I don't know if that is Google cardboard problem or the app problem? If this is fixed it would be great!
Great app, does his job well, very nice company support, and the only gripe is that the roll function doesn't use the accelerometer
Terrible.absolutely terrible.it doesn't even do night vision!it only works in the day time!
It doesn't even work. When I test it out in the dark I can't see $H!T This is very dissapointing
I think the 3d hud is realy cool but is the cameras way to dark, is there an option somewere so we can fix it.
Exactly as described. lol @ all the negative reviews. An app can't magically give your phone night vision people! Though I might have to try the camera mod for making real ir night vision goggles.
It's good for me... I make short videos and it will help me to take a horrible shorts at night
Great app. Can you add zoom levels? I use it in VR mode
Great app the only augmented reality app I found with cardboard headset format used.
You can only see in light. But if you look at light it is very very bright.
Impressed with this app,was expecting another generic app that failed miserably at what it claimed to do but turned out to be really good, enjoy using it.thanks
Does not work, there is no curvature to the image so it looks terrible with a vr headset
Very bad... Not actual night vision... It's not even night vision.
This is not night vission i turn off light and it dinit work!!
This is really nice I can use this to see in the dark when the power went off Thanks 5star
Useless no function at all with out light
me no likie I mean it needs light and it is supposed to be night vision!!!!!!!
Very good but cold do better with some better vr #curving to the screen
Awesome. I play airsoft and this has potential. 3 tips; enable flashlight toggle, enable zoom functions (volume buttons for controls would be a plus), and enable option to auto-hide the big settings button in the middle (and possibly obstructive flashlight toggle button). With these added functions I would easily pay, even if you kept the ads. Ability to take pictures or record would be a cherry on top. Hope to see updates soon!
