VSM Android Remote

The VSM Android Remote App, Version 1.1.3
Now you can remote control your VSM systems with your phone.

Control all the setup and referee functions of VSM and VSM Tournament Version over your Wi-Fi network.

Full, unlimited version

What you need:

- An Android smart phone (Android 2.3 or later)
- VSM (Release J) or VSM-TV (Release C) or later.
- A Wi-Fi router and a local area network to connect yourAndroid phone via Wi-Fi to your VSM fencing strip PCs.

The VSM PCs can be connected with cables or via Wi-Fi (best if they are cable connected.) Internet access is not required; just a local network to provide the connectivity between your phone and the scoring machine.

Fourth Release. Much faster connection process with the latest VSM & VSMTV updates (K1b and E1b respectively.) An indicator now shows which Android or iOS device is controlling the selected strip. The indicator is green when in control, red when another device is in control, and gray if WiFi remotes are disabled. (latest VSM software require for this feature.)

Slight changes to the UI to match the new iOS version more closely, probably no one will notice as it's actually a bit more intuitive.

I like how I can hold my finger on the Go button and it doesn't start until I lift my finger. Nice to not worry about line of sight with the standard IR remote or the table buttons getting flakey. Or distance, can connect and control anywhere in wifi range. I do need a grippier phone case but that's not the apps problem.

Connected to the right VSM WiFi. It is very nice how I don't have to point an IR sensor at the scoring box, and how it vibrates whenever an on or off target hit is registered. However if it isn't connected to the right network, it is a real hassle since it will continually keep disconnecting mid-bout and then will have problems reconnecting.
