PLEASE NOTE…Designed for 2010 models but supports almost all models with a LAN connection, EXCEPT models designed for Pioneer's 'ControlApp' such as the following: VSX-42, VSX-527-K, VSX-822-K, VSX-827-K, VSX-1022-K.Please test basic functionality by downloading the FREE VSX Lite app first. Internet Radio is not supported by VSX Remote on models that require Pioneer vTuner to manage stations.
Main Features...• Support for three zones.• Control Power ON/OFF, Mute ON/OFF and Input Selection for the all zones, (if AVR has capability).• Zone Volumes can also be controlled by the device hardware Volume buttons, (if AVR has capability).• Home Media Gallery (HMG) support; partial support only on very small screens.• Surround Sound selection from main display or directly from Surround Sound screens.• Internet Radio module which displays all 24 pre-set stations and allows you to select.• Tuner module which allows you to scroll through all your pre-sets, you can even give each one a relevant name.• Two way communications with the AVR, changes and information on the AVR are reflected on the app.• Show/Hide inputs and also Zones 2 and 3.• Portrait and Landscape orientations are now supported on 7" to 10” tablet devices.• Advertisement free app.
The app will prompt for the IP address of the AVR, enter it, and you're away, the app will auto connect from that point on.

So happy someone worked on a new app for the pioneer receivers. I keep getting "not connected to the AVR" when I'm not even in the app. I turned off notificatios in the app and in manage app settings and that stooped all pop up notifications. Also not a huge fan of the icons but that is just my preference. Again thanks today the developer.
The app is OK. It's a great little tool to manage my Pioneer...when it remains connected. It drives me nuts that I can start the app andconnect to a source...but if I leave the app by minimizing the app and do something else, when you go back to the app, the app can no longer communicate with the receiver. Only option is to reopen the app and start over. Not bad enough to uninstall but quite the pain in the @ss to deal with. Fix this issue and I'd give it 4 maybe even 5 stars. Until then, 3 is the most I'll go.
App worked good with note 3. Having an issue with S8 plus. Put correct local iP and app says "connected" but it's not working. Cannot control anything. Cleared data and Reinstalled app. Very aggravated. I use this app ALL the time but not now since I got a new S8.
Was constantly fighting with the Pioneer app for my Elite receiver. After enough I went in search for a replacement. Worth every penny! Took a little time to acclimate to the controls. Best thing...the ability to swap between speaker a and b.
My VSX remote control started acting up on me. The volume buttons would not work anymore. I tried this app (the lite version) and then bought the full version. What an excellent App! Everything I needed. Thank you..
Not worth a dime. Unfortunately the stock app from pioneer is not much better. Nexus 4 running 4.4. Pioneer vsx 1022
I would love to be able change tuner frequencies within the app, not just presets.
Everything a well written app should be. It takes that useless icontrolAV and makes my receiver functional over network. Allows plenty of control but keeps it simple and organized. Looks good doing it too.
I grab my phone and tablet before ever looking for the remote. So much easier to make adjustments, and navigate. I do get multiple " Could not connect to AVR" messages at times, after powering up the phone etc. Not sure why it even loads on startup.
Very functional and more options than official app. Love that it has a two zone widget that u can easily turn zones on/off, volume up/down etc. Nice that someone is supporting these pioneer receivers! Looking disdainfully at YOU Pioneer!
Pioneer decided not to update and fix their apps for older receivers. This is a great solution. I can turn the receiver on/off, control internet radio and everything else I wanted. Well done.
used to be able to change stations with Internet Radio. And how about the ability to change XM stations. Other than that the app is solid. Takes some getting used to, but it's a good app.
Controls all three zones via my Pioneer SC AVR. Developer added a feature that I requested. Great customer service. I use this app every day.
I found in absolutely infuriating that i couldn't find the option to change the VSX IP Address. Maybe I disabled it.. not sure. But no online help either. Maybe I disabled that option too!
But it does still control my older receiver. Bought this app years ago, and have loved it since. It could probably use a facelift, but what ever, it's still functional!

Media Server and Pandora don't work. Everything else does.

vsx 1120 -This app works very well . controls just about everything,just what I've been looking for.
It does what it says it does and it does it well.
With all the other apps I've downloaded I couldn't use with my vsx 60 but this app is just the neatest one out there I've had no issues and I'm sure updates later on will add more little gadgets on here that would be neat but other than that it's got a 5/5 for my rating thanks for making this app and keep it up :)
Really great app. One minor gripe is when you select an Internet station it is highlighted blue, if you select another station it turns blue as well and looking at that screen you don't know what station is on until you scroll off screen and back again, then the station you are on is the only station highlighted. Edit: Wow, great support from developer! Latest update corrected my "gripe". Thank you! 5 stars.
Much better than Pioneer's App. However is there any chance of internet radio support for the VSX922 later on? The main feature I use.

The pioneer app is useless. Only problem I am having is that it cannot control Pandora thru Plex. It looks like it's going to start playing song then just goes back to artists list. If this worked 5 stars.
Works like a charm...! This is the best app for a pioneer receiver!! It works great and the post-sale support is outstanding. Congrats my friend!! Happy to pay for it.
App doesn't work properly, widget doesn't work well and after app is closed there is annoying notification that keeps popping up in the notification bar that says not connected to AVR. Can't get rid of it unless you force the app to close from the app manager settings! Connection to the amp is very intermittent it keeps dropping every time screen goes out. Too bad because app has great potential.
