COMMON QUESTIONS:
Q: Do I need to be connected to the Internet?
A cellular network or a wireless Internet connection is required to purchase tickets, but you can use/activate your tickets offline.

Q: What if my battery dies?
Just like with paper tickets, you're responsible for making sure you have a valid fare at all times, so be sure to plan ahead!

IMPORTANT REMINDERS:
• Don't uninstall the VTA EZfare app or erase your phone without transferring your unused tickets first. Your tickets are stored on your phone (which makes it possible to use them without a cellular network or a wireless Internet connection), so uninstalling the app can permanently erase your tickets!
• Activate your ticket before boarding.
• Show your ticket to the operator of the vehicle
• Watch your battery level! Just like with paper tickets, you're responsible for making sure you have a valid fare at all times.
• Create an account before purchasing tickets, as this is the only way you can transfer your unused tickets if you get a new phone. (Note: Only unused tickets can be transferred. Use up any activated tickets before switching phones.)

since they updated it and took out all the little bugs and stuff I no longer need to get my tickets thur the web, to get them to show up on the app. I have no problem at all with purchase anything I need directly thru the app! perfect and very convenient. also if you forget to load your clipper card this is the perfect back up to have on hand

There's 3 "fail safes" to prove its not a screen shot. Only 2 ever work at a time. Most drivers only look for 1 of them; so if that 1 isn't working you're S.O.L. And they can't grasp the concept of an app not being perfect. So the app and the drivers are just horrible!!

The app doesn't let me even open to the main menu. It says I don't have an internet connection. I try being in wifi, not wifi, and it doesn't work both ways. This only have after the update. Please update as I use this every day

If I could give his app 0 stars I would. I travel but do not live in the VTA area. The app was awesome before. I have another trip planned so tried to open to buy tickets and it could not find my network. I can not even open the app! The app was fine until this update. thanks VTA for your help! I had time zone as pacific zone but time was an hour earlier. setting it to automatic or just fixing time is the solution. Anyone else with this issue, try this

The app is easy to use but when I use a ticket the bus animation won't work. A lot of bus drivers don't want me to get on if the animation doesn't work. Very annoying and I won't take VTa because there is a chance that a bus driver won't let me on.

Excellent user inter face and verry reliable and secure. Can transfer rides between phones wit a little effort. Only complaint it the battery saver mode warning. It is a little annoying to close it every time.

It does what it's supposed to do the only thing wrong with it on the app it sucks balls it takes too long sometimes for your tickets to show sometimes you got to close it and reopen it a couple of times for it to show up I missed two buses because of that

Screen won't animate. Multiple drivers wouldn't allow me to ride because of it period even though I showed them that it was in the app background color change when I tap the screen, they said because it wasn't animated I couldn't ride and I was late to work two days back-to-back. Honestly I feel like I should be refunded for my tickets were given a monthly pass for free because this is a huge hassle and I can potentially lose my job because your app doesn't function right

Worked great.... until they shutdown the app, forcing users to migrate to the Clipper app. Why would you ruin something that wasn't broken? Riders who relied on paying from their phone now have to use the Clipper app which is completely USELESS. What were you all thinking???

Literally needs to update and fix issue. it will not let me check out. I am literally paying way more than I should be for paying for 2 buses and a lightrail to get home. Its been an issue for weeks and still no update

Be aware that this doesn't work for AC Transit. l ended up buy another one on the bus after activated the e ticket. If the ticket is to be activated by a scanner, l would not waste the e ticket

I reset my password on web but app is not recognizing it and giving me an error to sign in on phone. ALSO the tickets purchased are not showing up on phone. They are on web with type server but unavalaible via mobile app

I have all sorts of problems trying to figure out what time bus #40 shows up on San Antonio Rd cross street W. Edith. Many times i just limp my way mile and a half to El Camino Real in Los Altos. I get so frustrated. I cant even figure out when the bus shows up on Palo Alto Ave & Calif. St in mtn view. Two blocks from my house. I miss the individual schedules fold up pamphlets.
