VUDU Movies & TV

I purchased HDX quality movies and shows. When I play them on my PC in the web browser, I can choose either SD or HDX playback. When playing videos in the app, it defaults to HDX and although it has the option to step down to SD, it actually doesn't work. This makes playback on my 4G phone difficult. Luckily you can choose to download the video in the app in either SD or HDX, so there is a work around. Vudu has sales all the time so I find myself spending a lot of money on this service.

Last night, the Vudu menu on my television changed. There's a window that shows a list of the movies and television shows that I've purchased. However, the option to play them has disappeared. I've scrolled through the entire list of options & screens & nowhere does it give me the option to watch any of the things I've purchased. I've spent hundreds on things I can't watch. Please fix this immediately. Otherwise, I will have to cancel my service and uninstall. Thank you in advance

I mainly use Vudu for my digital library. The one thing that drives me crazy is that I cannot organize MY movies the way I want to. I only have the option of your typical basic sort (a-z, newest, ect.). Now for someone that likes things a certain way and is EXTREMELY organized...it's actually a huge problem! I would settle for just being able to arrange them in the order I want! Please please pleassseee make that an option! Click and drag...that's literally all it would take!

Constant loading and asking to switch to lower quality... every other app works perfectly. Amazon, Hulu, Netflix, HBO Max, Disney+ and discovery all work perfectly with no loading on highest quality. Really makes me want a refund for all the movies and shows I've purchased on here so I can just move over to Amazon. Don't waste your money!!

It'd be a 5⭐ rating, but off-line viewing doesn't work for me. I can't count the times I've had to uninstall and reinstall both the app and the movie files I had previously downloaded through the app. When I've tried to open the app and watch one of the countless movies I downloaded off-line the app asks for my login, which I provide. Then I see an error that says something like no videos found for playback. If I turn my WiFi back on however, the app and all files are accessible.

VUDU just downgraded all of my HDX movies to SD. The newest update is buggy and weird. My TV screen turns to black for a while and then comes back. Then does it again. It's odd. I'm pretty pissed about them downgrading HDX to SD. I wasted plenty of money in that regard. I won't be buying anything on VUDU anymore. UPDATE: RESOLUTION IS BACK TO NORMAL ON HDX. CHALK IT UP TO A GLITCH.

We have been using Vudu for several years now and recently the service quality has been absolutely terrible. Shows randomly stop buffering, and you have to exit the app to continue to watch. The ux/ui is terrible. The only saving grace is the fact that they have a lot of sales, so you can get movies for cheap. It used to be amazing.

By Far this has been the best app for movies and tv series of all sorts in one app. It's so convenient to have all the movie hits from what's in theaters now to any other movie u want to see and tv series that are playing now and you can find the ones that are not playing that you miss seeing from back in the day. Vudu has it all for entertainment and you have the option to see what you want for free, rent it or buy it and the quality of the picture for these movies and TV series is awesome.

This is a review of the service itself, not necessarily the app. The customer service is garbage. Do not use this company. When they migrated my library over from fandangnow, one of the movies was wrong, same title but completely different movie. I reported it on Aug 4th 2021. The humans that replied when then finally decided to do so (1st reply was on Sept 11th, nearly a month and a half later) kept giving me the runaround. Issue still isn't fixed and now I keep getting auto replies. Garbage.

Overall the app works good. The issue I have is VUDU doesn't have a global security setting for purchases. Every device needs to have a pin set. Worse, when they update the pin can get wiped out. My kids keep buying stuff, including stuff we already have, because I can't keep up with every device and updates.

I don't like that there's no way to change a language on a movie. I feel like that something that VUDU should definitely have if people want to wach a movie from english to spanish or any other languages if they are watching with their families. Also the UI looks terrible, it's time for a change VUDU

I would give the service and app a better rating, but I suddenly CANNOT log in on my android phone, on my smart TV, or on a computer and it refuses to send me a password reset link. I live in the US so there is literally NO reason for this to be a thing.

They have a good selection and everything. Usually take care of you only thing I don't like is that if you got a movie on sale with them but didn't buy the top uhd one they don't even give a discount to buy the top tear they want you to buy it like a new movie and it drives me insane I have to buy it twice! Can we atleast get a discount at Google movies they upgraded for free! Just saying

Picture and sound quality are excellent, and it works great with legitimately acquired digital copies. Now every time I open the app it tells me I need to update via Samsung app store. Publish the update here, or not at all. I'm using your service because it's easier than piracy. Don't do this.

It would be a perfect movie app if they can fix the bug issues with downloading the movie for offline use. Constantly have to re-download each movie and once downloaded the app crashes when I try to play offline. Other than that really enjoy using the app while online of course.

This is it! Every single digital movie code you redeem, Vudu accepts them all! Not to mention, you can amass your collection quicker and much cheaper with the Disc to Digital feature. My only complaint: you can't get it on Kindle Fire, so that means you're stuck with Movies Anywhere. What's the difference? It doesn't accept Paramount movies, several of which I enjoy. So get Vudu wherever you can, and don't throw away those Digital HD inserts just yet!

I keep getting asked to update via Samsung Store, I do not use Samsung store. I need to be able to update via Google Play. (P.S. - if you are having buffering issues, do a speed check on your network. I had to replace my 6 year old router and it resolved all my buffering issues, although only 2 of 7 streaming apps were having the buffer issue.)

This keeps happening lately. I am unable to make purchases, because it states that I don't have enough funds in my account. However, I always make purchases with a credit card, and my credit card is working fine. Please fix!!!

This app was top notch but now I can no longer sign in to my account from this app. It is telling me login failed and this is the same login I have had for 10 years. What gives? I have uninstalled and re-installed the app several timess and even restarted my phone to no avail. I have too many movies not to be able to watch them on my phone. UNHAPPY.

Great app overall and a good service for viewers in my opinion. Wasn't sure about the switch from being Walmart owned to being Fandango owned. The UI and functionality hasn't changed or anything, and overall I still think they're one of the best streaming apps available. I would recommend and it's basically my go to streaming app. 2.27.22 - udate. Took away downloads to PC, app is completely non functional on Xbox. Customer service is beyond corrupt when they actually bother to respond.

X-box one, none stop crashing since the latest update. Have to open it twice to get it to load past a black screen then once I've finished a title everything in my Vudu account is gone, then I have to close it and open it again to be able to access what I've purchased.... Not happy

love this app!Especially when movies go on sale!The only few things i have issues with is my disk to digital wont work, my tv shows on dvd cant be transfered to digital and there are some movies that aren't part of the library choice that i would like to have.Other then that its perfect! I literally have hundreds of movies and tv shows. I'll keep buying on my VUDU!💖💕 UPDATE- I loved this app until fandango got their hands on it.Now all i have is trouble.Constantly stalling among other issues!

Vudu is a great app that lets you rent movies, preview movies, and buy movies and add them to your own personal list. Having digital copy of all these great movies added to my library is a great experience and you could take them with you anywhere on the go as long as you have internet access. Much recommended for anyone who loves movies!

Used to work now it doesn't. Whenever I try to open it it just goes to a black screen and nothing else. And if I try to play one of my movies through movies anywhere on vudu, it also just goes to a black screen. Using a Moto G stylus 2021.

Vudu is well on its way for a totally new visual platform, a complete restructure of features and changing the way we watch, buy and save our collection of movies. The Vudu name may very well be out the door and being changed to a more engaging and time appropriate family name. Until then.

actually was a tad bit predictable, but overall a good movie. the ending was very predictable because I've seen several movies that follow the same line.

Although my movie collection is ample I've been deswayed by the lack of a availability for shows I've purchased when not using WiFi. I went to download some favorite Hannibal (TV show) episodesand found to my dismay I had an error code on most of season 1 and half of season 2. Why spend money if my money doesn't give me what I'm wanting? Thanks for nothing Vudu.

The app on phones is good but the app on a streaming device is not. You're unable to watch free movies/tv shows on streaming devices but you are able to on a phone. You used to be able to search for and watch free movies/tv shows on both platforms but they've changed it, and not for the better. If they changed it back to how it used to be I would rate it 5 stars, otherwise 3 stars is being generous.
