The app has a few bugs and crashes, but overall it works very well for such a new device. I changes my previous rating since they fixed it and implemented more features. Very responsive and great to see the progress Update : Currently I can't render any pictures with my phone anymore, they export, but colors are totally off and do not look like in the preview
Making progress, but still a distance to go. Looking forward to improved wifi connection (still takes considerable time, fails frequently), picture quality (still dull color, washed out by bright conditions with poor shadow detail, not repairable post hoc) and (in corollary) better auto and real-time manual controls of exposure and other parameters. Lots of promise--please keep at it!
Good, works well on Samsung S10 with Direct Wifi Connect enabled. The only missing feature for me is to be able to control the white balance manually instead of always "Auto White Balance". I'd like to be able to set it to "Daylight" or "Tungsten" which doesn't seem possible with this version of the app and firmware.
For an app that's supposed to handle HUGE video files, it's really baffling that you don't support external storage. I bought your camera for $400 and a big 256GB SD for my phone so I could store and process all my 360 VR videos there, but you only support using internal memory, so I constantly have to shuffle files around. It would also be nice if I could just take the SD card out of the camera and stick it in my phone, but this also will never work if you don't support external storage.
Really like this camera, but this app how ever still need a lot of improvement. 1) it's hard to connect to camera some times, when turn off the app on the smart device, the camera it self will froze, not able to turn off. 2) not able to view videos in gallery. 3) VR photo not able to view flawless in google daydream device. 4)it will be great to share/post video or photo directly to social media. I will keep support this company if they really hear our feedback and improve the software.
Enabling the Wifi Direct option renders the camera unable to reconnect to the phone - when Im then factory resetting the camera to be able to connect, I need to update firmware - via Wifi Direct.... had to update firmware manually via sdcard. I like the camera, and also the app, but it is clear that it is only halfway there.
Layout is ok, but it refuses to connect to the camera. Used to work a couple weeks ago but now it's simply refuses to connect. Judging by the reviews on other sites, i am not the only one. You would think an app designed to work with a camera should actually work WITH that camera, but no. Useless.
Only 1 of my 7 Android tablets and phones can install this app. The Google play store says all my other devices are not compatible, even my new phone. Installed the new update and also the new Vuse XR camera firmware update that was released yesterday, and it still crashes everytime after connecting to the camera just like the old version.
Very user friendly and quite a complex app. I played around for hours with the live preview feature in a cardboard headset. Never before did I have the opportunity to sit besides myself, on the couch. 😀 Waiting for the final kinks to be ironed out, but so far, so good. Keep up the good work!
"Camera Connection Error: Please restart you camera and try again" on the S8+ or S9+, connects on the Note 4 though, so not camera issue. Wifi connected to camera from phone fine, is software issue. Tried on 2 different Note 4's and video performance is completely different between them, but it doesn't work on any newer android devices including Pixel 3. Why not code a web interface with captivate portal to solve issues? Could even use the rtmp stream (double tap wifi) in it? Document API.
I can see my photos in the phone app, but not my videos? Also, the PC app can't load the video content from the camera or hard drive. It just hangs. Overall, the whole system (camera and apps) just isn't working for me at all.
the app is one month behind iOS version. the website demos all sorts of features which currently aren't in the app. no stickers. no directors cut. bugs and crashes. just received camera and it's a shadow of what was advertised on their website. Someone should sue for false advertising.
Horrible application and hardware quality. The app frequently fails to connect to the camera telling you to restart the devices (to no help). If you (like me) bought their hardware, I'm sorry. If you haven't bought their stuff, I recommend continuing not to buy.
I splashed out about £500 on the Vuze XR thinking cool cam does google street view Yeah right the hastle you have to go through just to get this cameras images on GSV is unbelievable. And yes this camera claims it could publish directly to google street view. 4k@30fps. Ive tried everything on mobile app no such button seems to exist anymore. And on Pc app Vuze XR studio you can import 4k@30fps right click on the video and yes there a button (Publish to google street view) but its greyed out.
Missing so many advertised options and problematic connection with the camera. Really want to see the features that they advertised implemented!
Constantly says to restart camera and it says connected but won't actually connect to do anything. Totally busted, just like the desktop app.
the camera often disconnects, no more detailed messages are shown. recently this always happens when I want to take photos (which is my primary use case). not usable for me currently
Needs work, doesn't have the features that were advertised. Crashes and locks up on my S7. Camera works well though.
The firmware update process is terrible. It should download the firmware without having to use cellular data by downloading while not connected to the camera.

App is slooowly getting there. The app no longer crashes when connecting to the camera. Still won't WiFi Direct to the camera with my Pixel 5
Just got the update to allow on phone editing and rendering and it works great! This is going to be great for my mobile workflow.
i got my Vuze xr recently,the wifi connection is really poor, don't know how to fix this connection issue in Google pixel 3XL. Google phone can't change IP setting. please provide a solution for Android users
App fails to connect to camera, which is required to do anything. I'm running Android 10 (most recent).
App features are very limited, the connection break off constantly.
Doesn't connect to camera on OnePlus 8. Always suggests restarting the camera.
Can't use direct wifi feature. Pls... Put some manual. I lost my half an hour.

Cannot connect to camera via wifi. Tried from differwnt android phones
I just received the camera and it needs more testing. so far the app crashed on me a few times, freezes when changing from 360 to 3d mode and there are no options to put animated stuff as overlay on a video like in the ad. hopefully all this will clear up by updates. we will see. so far the camera looks awesome and it fits nicely in the hand.
