This app was created to assist in the collection of audio samples for aPhD thesis project. The audio collected will be used in the creation ofa large data set of mobile audio samples for use in audio research,including voice biometric research.
This app will show different types of prompts and ask you to record ashort audio sample in response to the prompts. The prompts include animage description, an answer to a question, and a phrase to repeat.Recordings take place in sessions. The app includes 160 unique promptsbroken into sessions. Each session consists of 20 recordings. Eachsession should take around 2-3 minutes to finish. The app allows up to40 sessions per device. Try to complete all 40 sessions!
When finished, you can send the results using the email functionprovided in the app or you can submit them to Amazon Mechanical Turk fora small cash incentive (for a limited time only). Submissions areanonymous. If submitted via an email, the files are automaticallyprocessed without saving the sender information. If submitting to AmazonMechanical Turk for the cash incentive, please sign in as a worker andthen search for HITs containing “securics” or “vaulted voiceverification”. https://www.mturk.com/mturk/welcome
If using Amazon Mechanical Turk, 1 HIT will be paid per 1 session. Themore sessions you complete the more $$ you can earn! After each sessionupload the resulting .inc file to Mechanical Turk results page.

Not sure how you get paid. And when you push record the app doesn't record.
