Don't understand why the quick start guide tells me to download the app when it doesn't support my b250-xts. Don't see much use in the app unless you want the walkie talkie mode, if it works
terrible to use for music/podcast/youtube listening. no button on the device to pause/replay. 'parrot button' is useless.
I got the s650. Everyone was complaining that their headset was messing up after they downloaded the app. Mine was messing up before I downloaded the app. Shutting off, hanging up on calls, disconnecting from the phone. Even had to wait 3 to 6 seconds after the phone started to ring before I could hit the answer button on the headset otherwise it wouldn't connect the call to the headset, even tho the headset was connected. Worst headset I ever got, don't think the app made any difference.
I'm not sure if over the air updates are available for the 550 but from what I can tell the app has at least done its job..which is to assist people who don't do tech.. I take that back, blue parrot button functionality via the app doesn't work even with headset connected. Menu bar in status bar shows the headset is not connected when it is showing connected in the BT menu and working
I survived without the app for a long time. My biggest disappointment with my latest 450 model is that they still refuse to add the button to do play pause stop. One-point off just for that. My Bluetooth headset has a low power amount right now being on for 2 days, but it is still coming up saying it is full power. So apparently this app is not accurate. The hardware products are absolutely phenomenal except for play pause stop. When they add that and improve the app, I will definitely give 5 *
Couldn't even open the app from first download. My phone is newer and is up to date. The app wanted me to create a login, and then immediately crashed and failed to run. When compared with the other reviews, it's not worth it. Headsets are great though Consider re tooling your software, and I am sure the quality of the hardware will help
What a junk azz app. Who made this piece of shyt. Do better people, make this app to were its usable so I can change what the blue button does. The device is clearly connect but when I want to choose an option it say it can find a supported device. I guess junk is the best they offer. Update. Sent the headset back for a refund. There is no foreseeable fix to the problem. Went back to a competitor that has better features.
My expensive 550xt keeps hanging up calls randomly. Most times it's when it's important. I've updated to the new firmware and does it worse. I then went and bought a new one stamped 21 on the inside of the headset did not update it and its done it a dozen times in 2 weeks. This needs to be figured out because they are great otherwise, but I'm ready to throw them away and go to a different brand. Please get this issue fixed!!
The app works, but when you set the Blue Parrot button to a third party app... it works well if you keep the Blue Parrot app open on your screen. Minimize it though, keep it running in the background or on lock screen and when you click the Blue Parrot Button it will say "Lauching App" briefly and does nothing. Checked to see if headset needed updated on Windows PC and shows current. Tried multiple apps and all so the same. Would like to use it with Google Assistant, but same issue.
Only good for firmware update the rest of the time I don't open it.
Overall,..nice App. But, the last update seems to have triggered a notification that will not resolve. I only have my device on, when I'm on the road or working in an environment where I need it to hear the phone ring. When it's off, the alerts keep popping up and I m hoping it would resolve itself.
Horrible UI, unclear description on how to setup the BlueParrot button
The app has only made my experience worse... I'm not able to update my firmware. When i first installed the app it locked up my headset and i had to figure out how to use the power cord and power button to unlock it. The headaet does not always pair well and when it does it will intermittently drop the pairing. The blutooth range is awful... like 20ft? The headband is not comfortable and puts a big impression in the top of my head. Not a headset i would considering telling any of my friends
You have to have the app open in the foreground on anything newer than Android 10. And your phone screen cannot be off or locked as that does not allow it to work either, so it defeats the purpose of the app. Would be nice if it would work I mean it is a matter of hands-free safety
I don't need a walkie talkie! That requires me to place my hand to my ear! By doing that, I am violating the hands free laws of not only each state that has one, but of the D.O.T. directive for commercial drivers, which I am one! I need an SMS reader and voice texting app for hands free driving, which I used to use this app for! Thanks for the move backwards! Apparently you don't believe in reciprocating the loyalty of the millions of truckers who own Blue Parrots! Uninstalling!
Garbage app and disappointing headset. New headset with less functionality than my old one. Wish I had just bought another like my old one. Cheaper and did what I needed it to do. No apps to make a function work...that doesn't work even with the app. Marketing ploy, like all the other apps anymore. Uninstalled!
New review: Same issues, but new B650-XT shuts itself off frequently. Support doesn't respond. 2020: Stupid app can never find a supported headset. I've had the B350-XT and now the B450-XT (new version) and tried to connect with my Google Pixel 3A XL and now the Moto Z4... Can't find a supported headset to configure. I'm listening to the error On. My. Headset. Connected. To. The. Phone... But it can't find a supported headset via Bluetooth. Also, have fun trying to get support. No replies.
Haven't been able to connect the app to either one of my headsets. 450 & 650. App is garbage. Why make such a big deal about the button when you can't even use it?! Both of my headsets are just normal Bluetooth headsets.
The app don't work for my 650 never had a problem till I got my 650. It hangs up in the middle of calls the voice answering doesn't work. The 650 disconnect and turns off. Wish I would have never spent the money on the 650 it is a POS. Purchased it at truck stop so I can not get my money back just exchange. I THINK BLUEPARRROT SHOULD STEP UP AND FIX THE PROBLEM
Very disappointed !!!! I purchased the s650-xt, and it constantly turns its self off during phone calls, the voice answer doesn't work, and it will not connect to the app. This is unacceptable, for the price I paid for this device. It was purchased at a truck stop so there's no REFUND! Maybe everyone leaving reviews should contact the consumer protection agency 🤔
For technology at this date and time is very far behind. Everytime you plug it in you have to manually reconnect it. Switches are in a bad place. Took me a long time to find languages for reader and call anouncing
Most useless app ever, never gets updated doesn't work and I own 3 blueparrott headsets and I can't use the blueparrott button on any, given the price of the headsets you'd think they'd put effort into the app, go with plantronics at least they work as they should....
I've had the 550 and now I've got the 450. Blue parrott really took care of me when I had problems. The only problem I've had is with the battery. I'm trying my last blue parrott. And if it does have problems I'm moving on to another Company. Never downloaded the app and never going to.
I have the B550-XT and its garbage!!!! I use it on my Galaxy Note 8 and alot of times people hang up on me because they can't hear me. The app doesn't let me configure the parrott button it say that it can't be found and I need a headset with one. I paid a good amount for this bluetooth and neither of them work.
No updates for the bt450 ll at all and it should be done regularly so the software is up to date. This was an expensive headset. Voice commands not working to voice answer calls. Worked a few times, now it never does. Very disappointing, I really liked that feature.
They removed the ONLY thing that made this headset worth the money. They took away SMS reader. The noise cancellation also does not work. The headset was worth the cost but if it wont read text messages incoming it is NOT worth it. There are cheaper headsets on the market. Ive been buying Blue Parrot since they started and have every model with exception to the duel ear. I will no longer buy any of their products if this function does not come back. As an OTR driver this was good. No Longer
I got the B450-XT paired on a S10. Everything on the app works as advertised on Day 1. Reads texts etc..I will update if things take a turn
