WAFF 48 Local News

If I could give less then one star I would ! The app is slow to load or doesn't open at all and when there is a weather related emergency I seldom receive notification.

4.24.21: Was only ok to begin with, but new layout feels sloppy. Seems really disorganized. Not much benefit to using app versus going to the website at this point. 6.7.21: No improvement. New layout now cuts off headlines, so I'm not even sure if an article is interesting to me. Uninstalling and going back to living under a rock. Local current events isn't worth this headache.

It's really slow, and hangs up, and gets stuck or won't open

I clicked on to see the latest and its only showing last years' and February 2022. This is May 2022. C'ya!

It hangs up frequently and will not open. I have to restart my phone to get it to work. Other times it works fine. In addition, I cannot use my preferred message app to share stories not can I share directly to Facebook . I have to go to another station's news story to share it. It is very frustrating.

Going downhill. My entire family loved this station and the app in the not so distant past. Not sure if the changes to the app were required updates or were made for "looks". The change previous to this made everything more difficult enough. Now, may look high tech. NO LONGER FUNCTIONABLE. Disappointed 48.

This is the best and most reliable weather source.

App does not work. Notices come up but you pick them to read, goes to the app then nothing. Just sits there with an ad then never goes to the news article. I did enjoy this news app but no more. Will take it off my phone. Will have to load your competitors app to see local news and alerts.

Was a good app. Now there are so many ads you must sit through just to read a news story. I guess I'm stuck with WHNT. At least they let you read something without watching a 15 to 30 second ad. Hope a few pennies in ad revenue is worth the loss of most people that would use the app.

This app is difficult to navigate. I have a lot of issues trying to find articles when I received a notification. Too many ads also.make the screen confusing.

With every update, app gets worse...even if you uninstall prior app. One can go to website quicker, but then, all the news articles are not there. No support, no help at station, no one cares to fix issues.

After the update I deleted this. Adds got out of hand and the only way I found to turn off notifications was to turn off ALL notifications on my phone. App was ok , but trash after update.

It won't download, I uninstalled it, because it quit working, then when I try to install it, it always says something went wrong on Googles end. Try again, what is the use it gives me the same error everytime. If I could give it zero stars I would.

app is ok except they have started putting adds in that you have to watch the full add. can not back out and get back to reading the news.

Can hardly get through reading an article without it closing. I have to reopen the app and find the story only to have it close again.

Had to reinstall to get the new update to work. Now full of loud ads I can't mute without silencing my phone. I'm going back to zero news in my life, though I'll miss the local a bit.

Has gone from bad to worse, videos and ads play automatically making impossible to look at news in public. Biased liberal reporters, overall incompetent staff.

Terrible !!! You need to quit trying to cram more in. Your new app is not attracting my attention. As soon as I can, no thanks to you, I will dump the app.

They rarely keep the app updated with new stories. Very inconsistent. Laziness.

Love your station and news people but your app is bull ish. Barely works half the time and your notifications don't even bring up the story it notified me about.

I will discontinue use of this app. Home page doesn't open to stories. Makes you choose your region. What was wrong with the way it was?

It was fine until you started playing ads everytime use the app I don't want to hear that. Quit trying to squeeze a dollar out of everything

I reading the news this week and it's freezes before the end. I not able to read any news since June 22, 2012. I hope they fix it.

good local news coverage. great inclusion of community events. easy navigation to a particular area's news.

When you go to stories off of a story it glitches and wat you have read of that story you will never know the end because it takes you back to 48 home page.

Doesn't work properly since the last update. When I go to an article it will disappear almost as soon as it loads.

Keeps informed on storms

I prefer to read my news, not always watch a video. Do you offer text only content?

News isn't updated enough. Easy to use but news is outdated by 2-3 days.
