The app is easy to use. I had no issues. However, the fees, in my opinion, are outrageous. I ended up paying darn near double my order if not over that. As far as customer service I had a pretty good experience. My delivery guy was Stefan. He was very polite and delivered as scheduled. I most likely won't be using this app again.
Always getting error messages. When typing in restaurant names I get "try again" messages or error messages that it doesn't exist. I get error messages when trying to reorder previous orders. Why? Now, in most cases, I have to scroll and scroll and scroll until my desired restaurant comes up, then place the order. So much for "convenience"
Everytime I order they cancel my order saying they can't fill my order. I end up having to use another ordering service. Way too expensive compared to other apps like this. Still a worthless app. Ordered twice and it took over an hr to get to me ( I live 10 minutes from the restaurant I ordered from). Food was so cold I could eat it. Spend $45 and they only wanted to refund me $12.50. Didn't even want the money just wanted my food replaced. I do not recommend this app. Go with doordash.
They take your money, tell you your food was delivered (it wasn't) and then a bot refunds your money when you try to contact customer service (you'll never get a real person, it's all text). This company needs to go. Edit: They will give your number to the delivery driver, who will call you to argue about who is at fault. I just wanted Wingstop, I wish I had never used this app.
This was the most terrible experience with food delivery. The food I ordered was inedible, cold, and hard. I spent $50 and they offered me a free delivery as recompense. I highly recommend doordash or something else if it's available to you. Don't waste your time here
The fees to use this service are outrageous. The fees cost more than my food does. My food was only 14 dollars and the fees made my total 30 dollars. That's ridiculous. I have to pay an outrageous delivery fee and an outrageous service fee. This and Door Dash are the only two in my area so I'll be using Door Dash from now on. I don't pay any delivery fee with them and the service fee is maybe 2 dollars at the most.
The delivery people are very nice & professional! If there is a problem either with the order or the app customer service is great! They do as much as possible to make it right! Waitr is great!
Wonderful service. If you are in the Clute, TX area and want delivery... THIS is the app for you. This is the ONLY one I have found that ACTUALLY delivers and is very punctual. My food was delivered in a timely manner, still hot and with a smile. Thanks
Terrible service, i had an issue with an order and wasnt notified until it was tike for the driver to pick up the food. When i tried to get a refund they told me that i couldnt due to it being past a 5 min cancellation window.
Some times it's great service and some times terrible. It's always a good up as there no way to add like maybe favorite driver. Then sometimes they are letting friends or family do runs for them. So you just never know.
Waitr is probably the biggest scam out there. There service is fee is 11% of your total order. Not just a flat rate. They add it in at the end. So the more you order the more you pay. Plus they take 11% not from just the base price. It's 11% after they charge you a delivery fee, tax, and tip. Pretty much whatever you order you'll pay double that to have it delivered. I can't believe these guys tax you on tax and tip. I don't see how that's even legal.
I am really beginning to love this app. It is so nice to have food delivered right to my door instead of hauling little ones to a restaurant all the time.
Terrible delivery service. They charge astronomical amounts for service charges. Then like tonight, I ordered food.... 2.5hrs later no food ever shows up, and they can't get in touch with the driver. Terrible application. Will not use again.
Absolutely horrible service. Way over priced and takes way too long, not to mention my orders are cancelled 70% of the time. Expect to wait about 2 or 3 hours for food or even wait an hour or 2 for it to get cancelled. Also I put in a $8 order and had to pay $21 for it to be delivered. What the actual hell is that?! Worst delivery app out there, please save your time and money.
I made an order that came after 2 hours and was cold. The food was also wrong. I tried to contact their support for a refund but I get sent back an email saying the same thing over an over saying they cannot receive my email. Very frustrated and unsatisfied with them.
Too expensive. Tax $5-6. Delievery fee another $4-6 and im on a limited fund per month $130 and a bill fee $35 a month plus buying food from WalMart $85 doesnt leave nothing for these outrages charges. My transport might cost $3.50 one way thats still cheaper then them scalping people
Less than 10 miles away but delivery is unavailable for our area. Nice. 7 miles away max. No point in using the app
Easy to use. Usually has a good coupon for money off or free delivery. Delivers ontime. Food is good. My favorite food delivery app. I also like that I have the option to pick it up myself.
This app is a life saver for when your short on time and can't drive to your favorite food places but crave something on their menu, Wait for food is no that long. Food comes hot and fresh in a short amount of time!!! 5 STARS
Well I wanted to use it but I saw it doesn't use Debit Card. So I uninstalled immediately. I'm not using a credit card for food ... That's how our country wound up in horrible debts!
Pretty bad service, you might get some food but it won't be what you ordered and the customer service stuff is pretty lengthy. Buckle up for a few hours of nonsense over a burger you didn't get to eat.
Cannot depend on service nor drivers. I don't even know what or where my order was for a good amount of time. You'd be an IDIOT to trust service through this app.
Horrible service. Delivery took longer than it said. Food was cold and food wasn't cooked completely. Waitr did nothing to assist with the issue.
The app is experiencing some bugs or something. While trying to browse I constantly got a message saying "Forbidden." When I tried adding food to my cart the app gave no indication of adding it. I was able to use a previous order to actually add items to my cart. Even when finally checking out I had to hit the checkout button several times. It kept giving me the "Forbidden" message or an error message. Eventually it finally worked, but the issues were difficult to work around.
