This app moves VERY slow. I have two different smart phones with this app installed on them. I have used both of those devices to view the app as well as quick coupons on the app. I have full service on both of the phones with excellent Wi-Fi and data coverage! Therefore with that being said it is not my cell phone coverage or service back is causing the app to move slow. It's just awful so I don't have the patience for it!
App is very convenient so you don't waste time on the phone trying to fill your prescription and cool they have that scanning feature as well. But it can be buggy and glitchy at times. Like, it delays in loading up when I am in great wifi speed, never saves my login even when I say yes, and sometimes it gets slow to navigate. Also, what's the point of fingerprint login when I have to manually log in anyways? I think it can be better in the user experience.
Infuriating experience trying to do an online photo order. You have to exit/refresh the app over and over to try to get it to load all photos. After an hour of trying, checkout failed because the app had an upload error. Also you can't see a preview of which photos you selected are for the prints without going into each individual item. The items are not marked so with a large order there's no way to get which photo is which. Then the order doesn't show when you sign in via browser.
The great thing about this app is that you can scan items at the store and the app will tell you if there's a coupon. The bad thing is the prices are often incorrect. Also the app was easier to use when the weekly add showed on screen, same as if printed version. Also 5he app is very slow, especially in store.
The photos feature is extremely slow and glitchy. The photos hardly ever load, takes ages to finish a photo project. Will switch to another service. The app doesn't even show all the options or the current details. It's a better experience on the mobile site. Don't waste your time with the app.
I can leave less than one star, that's absolutely what would happen. I'm deleting this app. Every single time I log in successfully because I called customer service to help, it will work for that day. I go to sign in the next time, and it says I've had too many tries and I've got to contact them again. Every time! I have changed everything possible I can think of to ensure the safety of my account. Can't be just coincidence that other people experience the same.
I can request my script to be filled on the app and when it's ready for pick up I get a call telling me it's ready or I can opt for a text message instead. It's great! Fast and easy! The app will even call you to let you know it's time for a refill and if you don't have any then the app notifies your provider that you need refills. That helps you and your provider out - providing an outstanding service for everyone involved. And it keeps the money flowing - am I right Walgreens? Wink, Wink!
Bugs galore. Click on refill alert for details and it shows a completely blank white frame where the details are supposed to be. I've had active, current prescriptions with refills available simply disappear entirely from the history, but the pharmacist easily finds it and refills it from their system. Would be a pretty good app if not for the bugs.
The photo part of the app is chronically sluggish and 90% of the time, sends me a message saying Walgreens app isn't responding and prompts me to close it losing all my progress. Take that times 10 times to get any sort of photo project done. Super time consuming, super frustrating, and half the time, the photos aren't even printed as I had them edited in the photo order. Walgreens is our only option for same day photo printing aside from Walmart so I have put up with it. Fix it Walgreens!
Hard to use. Poor organization. Company is more interested in pushing things for me to buy than in servicing my account. Updatr: Almost 1 year later and the app is still not working right! The store has one set of info and the app another regarding date to pick up. And i eant 1 pickup every 90 days and they can't seem to get everything synced up. I do not have time for this.
The app often shows in stock/in store items as being available for purchase. When you get to the store, none of those items are available. Especially sale priced items from the store's weekly flyer. Searches for items are cumbersome. The app continually pops up on my device's activity bar even though I have my settings for background data turned off. I have chosen one specific Walgrern's store on the app as my home store, but, many times the home store has changed the next time I sign in!
Photo upload is slow and finicky. When I try to upload more than 10 photos at once I will get a message stating that a problem has occurred. Of course the message pops up after a few minutes and a partial upload. Therefore, I have waited, I have to figure which photos have already uploaded and I need to go back through my photos to choose the pictures to upload again! Very time consuming and frustrating. I also have accounts with competitive stores and I do not have the same problems.
Barely ever works right! The whole point of the app is for digital coupons and rewards while being able to order for curbside pickup. The prices online ridiculous lower than in store. So I like to order online but most of the time coupons don't attach to items or don't even show up. It always has major glitching. When using the search bar, if you filter you search from low to high, it will glitch and kick you off the app.
This app isn't too bad for refilling prescriptions, checking status, etc.. But it is absolutely horrible trying to shop with it. I search for something, and inevitably it says it can't find anything--though if I use the website, everything loads properly, I can filter search results, and it usually works. The app never does.
In addition to my other review regarding the excruciating slowness, I cant even check to see which products are attached to coupons listed.Although, It does let me check on products using the ipad app. But it keeps freezing up. So I need to close and reopen the app and it takes forever to get back to where I left off. I have also found MANY items in my store that were listed as out of stock on the app. I feel they need to amp up their technology. So many more problems...
Recently Rx side very Buggy, malfunctioning. Ive had the app for a while and generally had a good experience. But recently in the last few months or so it's been problematic. Prescriptions saying they're filled when I get to the store they're not, constantly getting refill reminders for old/archived scripts, attempting to manually refill then it fails or gets stuck, etc.
I enjoy the easy way I can see all the special discount's and they are corddinated with digital coupons offers. I have the ability to scan items in store to match coupon offers,as well as getting the correct price. With all that has happened in the past year and the present inflation who can keep up with it all. It's not easy so thank you Walgreens for making shopping a little bit easier
Best app on my phone! The Walgreens cash rewards are amazing and build up quick. The app also is the first I've seen that has the feature of adding and prompting you to effortlessly add them to your account. I've saved over $100 from My Walgreens membership this year already. It is also extremely easy to navigate.
Updated review: This app is ruining Walgreens. I can't believe it's no better than the last time I used it 6 months ago. Just now almost blew a gasket out of frustration trying to order contacts. App crashes, doesn't respond, input is not saved, round and round you go. Almost got charged twice because the app wouldn't give me an order confirmation, just kept reloading the "submit order" screen. Had to confirm with my bank that I was in fact charged already.
It's a pretty good app especially for delivery ordering. However I wish they would just show the entire weekly ad instead of breaking it up in categories. It makes me feel like they aren't showing all of the items on sale, unless the ads have drastically decreased in size!
Garbage app for Photos. I've tried multiple times on multiple occasions to order photos. It kicks me out, freezes, or just takes forever to get photos added. Then, if you make it through to the upload screen, it doesn't always work. I finally was able to place an order for 60 photos I needed to pick up for use in gifts. Little did I know, later in the day I noticed I hadn't received a pickup email yet. When I logged in, my order that took forever to compile had been canceled! Worst experience!
