I love the idea behind this app, and have been using it for a few years. But the tracker is incredibly spotty, and more often than not lately it cuts out a few minutes into my walk, and doesn't record the entire distance despite still running/keeping time in the background. It's frustrating as I do a lot of long walks and hikes and would love for those miles to contribute to a good cause!

Then using this app successfully for several years and really enjoy being able to log my mileage and benefit from one of my favorite rescues. With them the last 2 weeks I also have started having a problem with my distance not being accurately recorded or my walk being terminated before it's actually over. Extremely frustrating!!!! Tried reinstalling and we'll see how it goes tomorrow. Based on others experience I am not optimistic

I appreciate that it makes donations to rescues. It is handy and the maps are good. I believe the distance tracker to be accurate. I liked it better when it was "Walk for a Dog." Before it was updated, it would automatically shut down if your device stopped moving for a period of time. It does not do that anymore, so if you forget to turn it off, it just keeps running. Also, I cannot find anyway to delete a walk. It also used to allow this. I emailed the site and asked but no one ever replied.

I love the idea of the app, but the tracker is VERY inaccurate by between .25 and .5 miles. I found the only way to fix this was to frequently pull my phone out and unlock it. It then updates the map, but treats any curves in a trail as a direct straight line in-between the points. This may account for the errors in distance. My GPS confirmed 1 mile route showed up as .65 of a mile and an entire section of trail I walked wasn't recorded. This was an urban trail, not off in the mountains.

Have loved the app for years ! The GPS was spot on within feet of my walk. Got a forced new version several days ago - the GPS now has us zooming straight-line many miles away, then zig-zaging over houses, going to all sorts of places I am nowhere near. My .88 mile walk to the park across the street on the old version now says I go from 2.79 miles to over 12 miles on the same path. It thinks I am exceeding 30mph. They better fix it quick. The data WFAD now provides is worthless.

I use this app whenever I am walking, running, biking or hiking. I love being able to do some good while spending time with my pup! There are a few improvements that I think would enhance it and make it much better. 1. Cannot use the Notification that shows the app is being used for anything 2. Cannot use the camera without the session ending 3. Would love to know how much my chosen shelter/rescue has received, either historically or real-time 4. More detail when a session is shared via facebook, i.e. length/time of session, map and/or include photos, if we could take them during a session. (last year it used to include the mileage at least, now not even that is shared) That's all I can think of right now. I don't mind the ads as then I don't have to pay but also I don't like to have to sit thru too many in order to share a session or whatever. :)

I love that the app supports rescues. Unfortunately it often doesn't work and loses connection, therefore, my walk isn't recorded properly. We just went for a walk in the subdivision that I know is 1.1 miles. It lost connection, told me I couldn't go over 30mph (not even possible with my knees) and recorded it as only .41 miles. It does this daily.
