Great, but very basic. I would like to see features like custom settings for low battery announcements. Mine is currently telling me at 25%... which might be okay if the voice didn't tell me every minute or so. Overall, I really love the ear plugs and the basic control that the app gives. Update: went from five stars to one star... would have given zero if I could. The app crashes and has for over a year. The ear plugs are FAR less useful without the ability to control via the app

They work great as shooter's ears. I love the control to hear surrounding sounds. The app worked fine with my Samsung S9, but I upgraded to the S10e and I now have the same issue everybody else has, with the app crashing as soon they connect to my phone. I can listen to music and receive calls, but I can't control them through the app. As shooting hearing protection-GREAT... but a waste to pay the extra when the app WILL NOT WORK.

I also have an Android (OS v11) and the same thing is happening to me. As soon as the buds connect to the phone, the app crashes. It immediately crashes until I disconnect the Bluetooth connection to the phone. It has been since last Fall, and yet no progress on this issue. I tried contacting them through their support website. After a week, nobody has reached out to me. I tried calling them and explained my problem. Their answer... call back Monday because all their systems are down. So I asked her what exactly she WOULD be able to do for me if her systems were in fact working. Not so shockingly there was no answer. This sucks because I really like the product. Using them without the phone is cumbersome. For what it's worth, if you have an older Droid OS 10 or less the app still works. My son's S9 has no problem with the app.

Just like everyone else here, the Connect app worked fine for a while, then stopped. Now it crashes instantly every time the Silencers pair. Tried the suggested fix (forcing data permissions), it had zero effect. Uninstalled and reinstalled, nothing. Without the app, the added cost over the non-bluetooth models is a complete waste. And judging by the company's responses here, an app update (to restore the functionality that we paid for) has been "coming soon" for at least six months.

I used this app for my silencer Bluetooth earbuds for a year and a half successfully. Loved the buds. Then my phone got the Android 11 One UI 3.0 update and the earbuds became an expensive paperweight. I've tried everything I can(the advice given by the developer in another review isn't even an actual option available), but to no avail and no timrleframe given on possible fix. I even called and spoke with them via phone. Very disappointing.

I encountered every single problem people wrote nasty reviews about (i tested iPhone and android) it is definitely more difficult for an iPhone. However every issue I encountered I was able to fix. I think the instructions lack they should note there is no way in a phone call to get audio out of the right ear piece it's because only 1 ear bud (left) is actually bluetooth capable if these were able to operate independently this would not be an issue just poor design. All in all everything works

The app doesn't work at all. Like many have said it just crashes when you try to open it. However the ear buds have a volume control a mode selection built in. The positive and minus buttons conteoll volume and the center button you use to turn it on also changes between the modes. So you don't actually need the app. Connect it to you phone and listen to music or turn the music off for sound enhancement.

brand spanking new 5/24/2021 headsets seem to work okay on their own. Bluetooth sound with podcast and music are okay. however with Android as Bluetooth headset the sound sometimes occilates from right to left. The app won't run at all on Android; it starts and crashes or starts and fails to a feedback page. So far Big regrets buying these. probably headed back as a return.

walker silencer blue tooth recharable app has stopped working on my android phone It worked for a few weeks and then will not control the volume even though it displays connected I tried restarting then reinstalling pairing but it still doesn’t work. The product is very good but the app is very basic and somewhat useful and for the price it should be better.

If you have a Samsung S9 or older the app works like a charm. Unfortunately I had to upgrade to a S21. Now the app will run like normal until it connects to the hearing protection, then it will crash every time. My guess is the fixed the issue with the next generation.

This app is useless I have the Silencer BT 2.0 and a Pixel 4A running the latest version of Android. The app will not connect to the earbuds no matter how you try to do it. The earbuds work fine without the app you can adjust the volume on them and I can stream music to then but when you attempt to use the app to control the ear buds forget it just not happening. I wear hearing aids and control them with my phone this design works great there is no reason why these earbuds cannot do the same thing Without the control of the app these are just expensive ear plugs that I do not recommend

Disappointing I bought the new version Silencers because of the Bluetooth App feature and recharging feature. After my phone updated the app quit working, so I'm back to using my other Walker ear buds with the hearing aid batteries. Fix the app and this is a 5-star product, without the app, you have to learn how to adjust the ear buds by touch, which can be a little cumbersome.

As of Dec 10th, 2021. The app keeps crashing. My ear buds are connected to Bluetooth, and the app won't even open. Definitely needs an overhaul as this issue has been going on for over 8 months now. FIX IT PLEASE.

Same here. App worked fine on Galaxy S9, crashes hard on new S22. If this isn't addressed soon I won't be purchasing any more Walker products. This is unacceptable. The app controls over 50% of functionality, Without it working these are worth less than half the $200+ I paid for them.

Powered on Silencer Bluetooth, connected to bluetooth on phone, and app refuses to run. Will click the icon, screen turns black for second and then nothing opens and it goes back to home screen. Tried reinstalling, restarting and nothing works. Only way i can get into the app is if i have bluetooth off when i open app but as soon as it turns bluetooth on and connects to the earbuds the app crashes. FIX THE APP THAT IS ADVERTISED AS A FEATURE FOR THIS OR REFUND EVERYONE DIFFERENCE IN COST BETWEEN THESE AND NON-BLUETOOTH VERSION.

App doesn't work at all now on new phone. I just got a new Pixel 6 phone after using my Walker Silencer BT for months on a Moto G6. If the ear buds are not connected via BT the app screen open. If the ear buds are connected to BT and I open the app, the screen disappears. It shows up in my open apps and I hear the "connected" message in the buds but the screen will not show in a way I can use it like before,

It's sad that no one at Walker seems to care that their product doesn't work with newer phones. It's a software/firmware issue. Get it fixed and push an update. When using on my old phone, they worked great.

I have 3 sets of walker silencers (me, wife, son) and cannot believe that after paying so much, the app is useless, as everyone has said, the app just crashes as soon as the earbuds connect. I can still use the earbuds for music, but cannot use them for sound enhancement while hunting, which is the whole reason they were purchased to begin with

I really wanted to come and comment 5 stars and just say everyone else is doing something wrong. That's not the case. The app works, I pair the device, and as soon as the silencers are paired the app no longer works. Instant crash on every launch of it. Restarting device and even my phone does nothing. What a waste of money.

For those that are experiencing issues with new phones and the app crashing when you start it....turn OFF your BT before you open the app and let the app turn on your phones BT. This will solve the failure to open/won't open issues.

I just received my Razor XV 5.0 Digital bluetooth headset. They easily paired to my phone (Samsung Note 8) although when I open the app it keeps instructing me to connect even though it's already connected. The only button I can push is the orange [CONNECT] button. I push it, and it takes me to my bluetooth pairing screen which shows me its connected for calls and audio with 100% battery. So I go back to the app, and it still only says [CONNECT] Other than that, they are amazing!

Just bought the Walker's to pair with my Galaxy 10+ and although my Bluetooth is paired, the app doesn't work at all. It absolutely will NOT allow me to open it up and change settings. Worst app I've used, but should have known since the rating was 1.4 stars out of 5 when I installed it. I want to use the universal option instead of power boost, but to no avail. I do NOT recommend this app! I would have given it 0 stars if I could!

App doesn't work with newer phones. I have a Note 20 Ultra, and just bought these Walker Silencer 2.0 earbuds for hunting. I cannot get the app to connect. I've rebooted my phone, uninstalled the app and reinstalled the app several times, but get the same error. Frustrated. I will be sending these back and will try some other brand earbuds.

App doesn't work. Everytime I open app with earbuds on, it crashes. Open app then turn buds on, crashes. Emailed the company and they said they are working on it which I doubt from all the past reviews. I like the Silencers so far. I am military and use them at the ranges.

After latest Android updates on my Samsung S20 5G, the App crashes as soon as Bluetooth pairing completes. The app worked fine in late December, but now will not function at all to control my BT silencers. The provided manual override below is not applicable to my phone. The provided path is not valid and in walkers permissions, always on doesn't exist. The only permissions I can edit is to show access to files.

They work fine. I don't know what all the hubub is about. Read the instructions. Think about what you're doing and everything works. I do have one suggestion. Give both earbuds the ability to be on when talking on the phone. Some people hear better out of their right ear. I have moderately severe hearing loss. My left ear is worse than my right. If both earbuds were on, there wouldn't be a problem. Now I can wear my hat at the range and hear my phone ring. Woo Hoo!

Hey so the app doesn't work but I found out if you crank up the volume on the ear buds they work without it. You don't need the app. I think all your missing out on is the ability to link the volume controls together.

Complete Failure. Received 2.0 Silencers as a gift. Have a brand new Samsung Galaxy. Downloaded Link, didn't work. Downloaded connect, didn't work. Spent hours doing everything you could imagine to try to get connected. Fully charged Walkers, fully charged phone. No internet, with internet, all other Bluetooth items turned off, secluded room, Uninstalled Link, restarted phone, installed Connect restarted phone. All I have is a sore ear from pushing on it, and a bad taste for Walkers.

Worked great till an Android OS update (Samsung S10)... a year later the app still does not work. I spent $200 to use these for about 2 months... I have several Walker products and have always like them but I will never again give this company any of my money. A giant fail. And no response from the company on a fix, a time frame - nothing. When are you going to fix this app? Come on Walker's, I would really like to use this app again after upgrading to the Galaxy S20. If you are not going to support this app and the first gen Silencer BT earbuds, just let me know so I can go ahead an pull the trigger on a different brand of earbugs. Really disappointed after spending 200 bucks on a set of earbuds that I've only been able to use with my phone for less than a year.
