Would be great to be able to select how much energy gets used on specific things like shortening planet upgrades/new planet searches, to cut time on several things at once and still donate to Epics etc. There should also be an option to purchase asteroid belts with energy/coins, not just real-currency purchases. Earning it with energy is fun, and great motivation to walk further and more frequently! :)
A fitness game that doesn't sync with either your fitness device or any kind of health app (that would sync with your device) is crazy. I wanted to to play this so badly with my friends, but when I told them you need to have the game on and your phone in your pocket while you run, got 0 interest.
I've been playing this game for a little while and so far I like it. It's cute and motivates me to exercise, especially when doing the Epics. I removed one star because it imports your full name when you connect your account to social media, and I prefer to use screen names, so I ended up making a Twitter account specifically for this purpose. It's a very weird design choice. Some of the instructions could be a little clearer too. Also, the premium currency is exorbitantly expensive as usual.
The theory of this game is that it should reward me for walking. It does do that but you can also play it in a very lazy and passive way, which is how I spent the winter. I'm hoping I can actually make use of the walking rewards as the weather warms up. The game could use a little localization work for the US, but it's very playable. I paid for the one time ad removal upgrade so I wouldn't be bothered, but the ad service they use here is one of most user friendly I've seen in a game.
At first it was a lot to take in. It truly is like a phone game. The only problem is advertisements appear random but why should I complain? I think the corgi is cute. I think it is odd there are food planets. The only problem that I have had is that I don't walk enough. :)
This app is very well thought out. Great reason to stay active. The in-game currency is actually attainable without the need to buy anything. However you can still buy things if you want to, otherwise it's a slow grind to farm everything. Either way, you can still appreciate every app function. There are ads but they aren't as crazy as everyone keeps saying. You can choose to watch more for cubes and they are relatively short and you can grind for more quicker than you think.
Love it so far! The graphics and music are wonderful and it encourages walking while actually feeling like a game, instead of just a glorified pedometer. It would be great it the alien tasks reset at midnight instead of being on a 24hr timer. That would make is easier to do it every day.
Making exercise fun, which is great! I really do wish we can choose the amount of energy we can spend to boost the planets, not just go all in with whatever energy we have.
Knowing that I'm storing energy for a game really does make walking a bit more of a priority. I also really like the simple art style.
Do not install!! It's a freaking adware! A real peace of junk that brings ads up nonstop at every opportunity! There are much better alternatives!
Cool concept, I just wish the steps count could be the center piece of the game instead of just a booster. But overall very pleasant game.
2nd time experiencing my step counter malfunctioning. Wish there was better ad placement. The amount of ads that you can't skip immediately is too much and ruins the experience of the app. Good concept though and it's really cute. I check it daily.
If possible, please wipe off the pop up ads and substitute in the gaming currency like Fortune City and TDA, quite annoying in the gaming experience keep disturbed by the pop up ads in sudden. Hope can having peace and healing emotion experiences along in the gaming journey. Thanks!
The app is great, it doesn't take much of your time. The items for purchase are way too expensive, but it's still enjoyable to play without any of them :)
Very cute and actually fun to use, you can also pay two bucks to make it ad-free. Great little game.
I really like the idea and it does motivate me to take some extra steps to gather energy. However, I think the in-game sales are ridiculously expensive. 30 Euros or more for a spaceship? Why not have cheaper things but more?
Some update forces me to login (again) into their fourdesire stuff, then when I connect the game again, it says can't login try again later and tells me to login again. Endless cycle.
Pros: Beautiful visual design, creative and relaxing style, with quirky little extras that keep things interesting. So awesome that it incentives walking, which I'm sure most of us need more of! The ads are non-obtrusive; only one ad appears upon open. Cons: The UI is a bit clunky, which detracts from the overall experience. It's difficult to navigate through the planets, and there's been a few glitches that I've noted so far. Would be better if there were more explanatory text for beginners.
Cute game! Love the concept and always wanted to give it a whirl, so I'm glad I have a phone with a pedometer in it now! It's fun to check after a long walk and I love the little aliens. There are a few negatives: occasional typos, navigating between planets requires a lot of scrolling, Walkrdex is similarly bothersome to navigate, and there's no way to turn off notifications inside the app itself. The message system could also use some optimizing.
While the visuals are adorable, and the sound design is fine, there really isn't much to it. The encouragement for walking is that it gives you energy to speed up production on planets. And nothing else. Also way too many ads. there's a message system where the game gives you all the notifications for every single thing you do in the game, and there is literally ads between the messages the game gives you. Every three to four lines.
Great app! The cooperative aspect makes me a lot more motivated to walk, compared to other apps that use a more competitive approach. But it uses too much battery.... I don't think I can continue using the app, as my battery life is about half of what it normally should be. I don't even open the app very often, but it's constantly running in the background to count steps. If only there was a way for it to just sync the steps from my phone's step counter... perhaps that would save battery. Alas.
1. It doesn't count steps if you close the app. I assumed it would since it says it'll run in the background. 2. I was unable to find a way to connect it to my smart watch so that it could count steps even when I'm not carrying my phone around. 3. Extra star removed because the ads show up suddenly when using the app. Not to mention they don't even count towards the daily ads reward. Besides the above issues the app is good.
I've been playing every day for quite a few months now. I really enjoy it! Especially since joining a very active and friendly lab! It's definitely more enjoyable when you have others to do the Epics with. I paid for the ad removal, but the pricing on some of the other things is way more expensive than I am willing to spend. The drawback to this is that it takes a LONG time to get enough cubes to "purchase" ships with better stats, but it IS doable without spending money.
