Wallpaper Changer for Reddit - Auto Wallpapers

This is great! Though I don't seem to be able to reapply wallpapers from the history listing. Every time I try, for the homescreen, lockscreen, or both at once. I get a notification and nothing happens. The scheduling also seems to have issues at times, which I partly expect is due to Samsung, though Muzei+Vitrina is able to apply on schedules without issue on the same device.

Kind of works but often has issues updating to a new image, so you need to force manual update. But it really needs the ability to resize image to the phone screen, at least along the vertical axis. Often for large size images, you only see a small section of it. Other wallpaper apps have the resize built in since it makes no sense not to do that automatically.

Pretty good app. I have a Huawei Mate 10 Pro. The app tends to switch images on schedule for a period of time, then it stops. I have to go into the app to restart it periodically. I've excluded it from my battery optimization but it still stops working occasionally. The images are great and the developer is responsive. Just wish it would work continually.

This is the app that I've been wanting to have. It does exactly what I want it to. Edit: a lot of the times it won't find images on the subreddit, but going to the subreddit itself on a browser, you can see a lot of new pictures that fit the parameters I've set. And sometimes, it gets stuck with "processing wallpaper..."

Very good app. Infact, the best wallpaper app I've used especially with auto changing settings which is very customizable. My reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because of its mobile data limit. I think its restricted on mobile data. I would love it if it could still change the background offline by using the downloaded images coz I noticed it doesn't. That'll be great. But still, I love the app though and kindly add more features. Looking forward to that. Thanks😀

great app, works most of the time. great that we can have split subreddits for lock screen and home screen. Sometimes takes a while to load images and doesn't always work, sometimes it doesn't get to "applying wallpaper", but just press it again. Would be great if there were separated widgets for specific subreddits. (e.g one widget for landscapes, another for space)

The app works fine, but the wallpapers are complete garbage. This is no offence to the developers of the app, but rather a warning to the user. Dont think you will have a beautiful new wallpaper everytime you open up your phone. My first two where low quality space images. The third one was a very low quality image of 3 grey colored bars across my screen. The latest one was a photo taken in a waterslide boat by someone whose hand blocked half of the image.

Edit: Same wallpaper has appeared several times, please add option to exclude wallpaper from history. Great app, even better than expected. Had issues with subreddits not saving but then update was released an hour later, amazing support! Only feature I'd like to see would be an option to change wallpaper at set time of day so I can wake up to a new wallpaper each day. Thanks and keep it up!

I love everything about this app. It is amazing. I use it for NSFW Reddit subs and blur and darken the background using the features in the app. it is a pleasant reminder of what is important to me during the course of my day. SUGGESTION: while this app is amazing,it would be an interesting and nice feature to have it so that you could have one set of pictures while during the work hours and another said outside of work hours/days. That way NSFW backgrounds are not an issue.

Great app with lots of settings for customization. Only issue for me is that everytime the wallpaper is updated, it crashes whatever app I am using when it changes. Since I want to change wallpaper often, this is an irrigation. Not sure if it is related to the app or android 12.

Download doesnt work on Android 10 and the app could look a bit prettier. Also the subreddit selection could be easier. Besides that it does what it says and works great (best Reddit Wallpaper Changer). Maybe the algorithm to pick a wallpaper can also be improved a little bit as you often dont get the hottest or newest one (based on sort setting). Inside tip: you can bind the "change wallpaper" activity to a gesture (e.g. background double click) in nova launcher to easily skip a bad wallpaper.

Simple app that just does what it's supposed to do, with lots of variety and quality content. My suggestion would be to have some options for longer refresh times, like load a new wallpaper every two days or once a week. If I like the wallpaper, I'd like to keep it around for a bit longer. Currently the longest refresh cycle is 1 day.

Everytime I opened my phone after this app had changed my wallpaper my apps wouldn't be there and it would take a min or two to reload. To me that's not really a great user experience as I have to wait a minute or two before they come back.

Edit, back to 5 stars after bug fix. Edit, minus 1 star: Frequency set to manual, yet the wallpaper keeps changing on its own-notification says updated "after 0 hours." Nice app, does what it promises simply and easily. It would be great if there was a widget that you could click to automatically change the wallpaper on-demand. Edit: There is no native widget for 7.0, but I found with using Nova Launcher you can create a Nova Action widget that will change the wallpaper with one press.

Amazing app. Came looking for a wallpaper that pulls from Reddit and found exactly what I was looking for. The app works perfectly, only thing I have an issue with is it seems that even though it has multi-subreddit features, it only pulls from the first one you list. After that's fixed, I'd give this 5 stars.

One day after installing this, Android popped up saying that the app was slowly down your phone because it had 12 errors in last 7 days. Looks like there's something wrong with the automatic changing, because it's still in the same wallpaper as when I originally loaded. -Unlocked Note 9, Verizon sim

Edit: 21/10/2021 issue has been fixed, updated star rating. I like this a lot, however it doesn't seem to be changing my lock screen on my pixel 5 only the home screen. Have uninstalled, reinstalled, turn off battery optimisation, ran it manually, ran it through scheduled. When I change settings to only run in lock it only changed home screen. Other than that a great app with heaps of options.

The app shows cool images and all that, the refresh rate us instantaneous. But honestly there is a feature or a gesture that would make this a true wallpaper changer. that gesture is "double tap" for wallpaper change. It would be really cool if it has that. And might make me use this wallpaper fulltime. In all, this wallpaper change is awesome. Thank You

Not working on my OnePlus 6. I tried defaulting it back but still didn't work. Can u check? I can't buy you coffee if this doesn't work, right? I'm using a OnePlus 6 with the latest software update running in Microsoft Launcher. I think the issue lies on the Microsoft Launcher since I tries using the default OnePlus launcher and it worked. So, I think next development would be the compatibility with other launchers.

I've looked so long and hard for a simple no nonsense app to change wallpapers from Reddit or Imgur! finally!! my only request for future improvement would be to mark certain wallpapers as favorites and also to change the default sorting to maybe like top over a certain period of time.

Great app. It is able to apply the wallpapers from reddit. But, the app does not automatically change wallpaper, even after ignoring battery optimization. Have to manually change the wallpaper. Hope you can fix this issue.

I use this app with nova launcher gesture feature. Its an amazing app. I have one feature request. The app should download 30 or any number user predefined. When i swipe gesture it should immediately change wallpaper from predownloaded wallpaper instead of downloading at the time. I just don't like to wait 30 seconds for every wallpaper to load.

The only image effect that works is the scrolling disabled. The blue and opacity doesn't work. I can't find a fix or any other info online. EDIT:I solved the issue by force stopping the app.

Edit: The latest update fixed the issue. Working as expected || Stopped working after July 7th. The new API implementation is not pulling wallpapers at all. || Perfect. Exactly what I was looking for. Immediately upgraded to pro.

Hi, I installed and used this app and it applied a few different wallpapers. However when I selected a wallpaper from my gallery (specifically, a s10+ camera cutout wallpaper), the wallpaper from my gallery does not fit my home screen anymore. In fact, the wallpaper is bigger than the screen and the punch out in the wallpaper no longer fits my camera cutout.

Awesome app I would love an option to toggle inactive mode automatically. I don't want the app to work between 12 AM to 6 AM. I set my wallpaper to change hourly and if it is being changed between 12 to 6, it is pointless background processing. Please consider implementing it. Thanks

Update to previous review: The latest version seems to be crashing System UI on my Moto Z Play on 8.0.0. This is triggered by manually retrieving new wallpapers either on the notification tile or the app shortcut. Screen keeps blinking and unresponsive and eventually will display an internal error - prompting for a factory reset.

Couldn't get it to auto update wallpapers on my phone, and the widget doesn't work for me either, but manually doing it works. It's unfortunate because it's a very well-made app and exactly what I was looking for!

When I first installed this app a week or so ago, it was missing features like dimming and blurring the wallpaper. These features and more have since been added, very quickly.
