Walmart Grocery

I use the Walmart Grocery app all the time. We live well out in the country and both have health issues. Being able to shop with the app makes everything easier. I can place an order today and if I forget something, I have several hours during which I can add items to the same order. The app is easy to use. The search is pretty good and gets better. It saves as "Favorites" things that you order often. The GPS driven check in also means a very short wait time. Oh, and the service is FREE!!

I actually think the app deserves better, I'm just hoping that gets someone's attention... My issues, while minor, are kind of annoying. You can't open an item from the cart to see product info, so if my husband adds an item to the cart I have to search to find it, or if I'm having second thoughts, and it's easier to just remove it at that point... I can't add single items from previous purchases, it's all or nothing, which is super annoying. I have more, but not much more room, so...

It's a good start but, needs work. Some improvement I'd like to see, When scanning an item, instead of automatically adding it to the cart, have other options available. Such as, viewing the item or adding to favorites. Options to view an item once its in the cart. Currently, you can see it but you can't view it. A better search. A simple search, Borden cheese for example, will return 342 results. that too much to sift through and it's not saving me time.

Like many other reviewers have said, this app is nearly useless after the last update. It continually crashes on my tablet (Asus), typically before I can even add an item to my cart. However, I can still use the app on my phone (Samsung Galaxy S8), though not without some difficulty. Search results or favorites only load to a point, then sit and spin for an eternity. Still frustrating, but at least usable. I've got no complaints about my local service, just wish they'd fix this app!

Great app. Works well and fast. Only issue I always seem to have is that it I choose my parking spot and color of car once I'm there, there's no "save" or "update" button. If I click to go back in to see if it saved, it's reverted back to the default. One time I had them call me and ask where I was; maybe it was due to them not being able to see what I had selected on that parking menu.

The app works well. Except my favorites list doesn't like to all load. The 1st 3 or 4 pickups went great. Fast and convenient. The last several have been awful. Waiting 45 minutes to an hour. Their excuse is always misplaced baskets. I could just shop myself in that time. The point is to SAVE TIME. I won't be using this service much longer if they can't get it together.

Tried it 3 times. Never had a problem with delivery itself (they use DoorDash). But on every single order, I've had a substitute or unavailable product. Website does not reflect the items in stock eventhough you pick the store location. This service is perfect for cold winter days or if you're not picky with substitutes. Otherwise, you're better off going to the store.

When it works, it's great. When it doesn't it is an exercise in frustration. Many times, the stupid thing lags, or hangs up, at which point it becomes unresponsive. This would be fine, except it only does this when I "Check In" to get my groceries. Well, then the app doesn't notify the store, which results in me sitting in the parking lot, wasting time and gas all because the largest retailer in the world can't develop a phone app that works. Or at least have a specified "Check In" button.

Only 3 stars. The shopping and selecting of items is well done. The selecting of pick up time is user friendly. Receiving text messages is helpful. However only 3 stars because once the order is ready and you check in, the app stops working. This did not used to be a problem. The 1st few times I used the app it did fine. But now it crashes and I have to call the store to let them know I'm there. Then I wind up being on a work-in basis and having to wait.

When I first installed this app it was fantastic and all features functioned perfectly. However, the last few updates something has gone terribly wrong. The app freezes constantly and will not allow me to access my favorites list in order to add my regular items to the cart. I have to remember exactly what I want and search them individually in the search bar... which is time-consuming and I end up missing things. What is the point of having a shopping list if you cannot access it?

The actual service of getting the groceries is great, and the layout of the app is very convenient. I used to be able to order groceries seamlessly, but within the last update, the app now freezes after every addition to my cart, and if I can FINALLY make it to the checkout (after closing and restarting the app for every single item I've added [~30]), the app freezes after I choose my timeslot and forces me out. So after all of the work, I can't check out.

Good app overall but I wish they'd bring back swiping to delete items out the cart. It was much more user friendly and took way less time than subtracting down to zero, waiting for a pop up, and hitting ok. Sometimes that function doesn't work and you can tap a hundred times and the counter won't move. You have to come out of cart and go back in to get the counter to show up.

We love using grocery pick up, but the app is increasingly frustrating. When trying to look at my "favorites" it will only show the pantry items. The info/pricing of products no longer shows the price per unit like the labels on the shelves at the store. This makes comparing prices mich less convenient. When searching for items, if I click on an item to look at it closer and push the back button, it takes me back to the previous searched item. It's taking far too long to find my groceries.

Until recently the app has been great. I use it as a running list for my weekly pick up. It's been very laggy, freezes, won't load my favorites, won't let me add items to my cart, won't let me check in when I am on my way to pick up. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I don't have the issues with the cart and favorites on the website. It's becoming increasingly frustrating!

I have been using the online ordering app for over a year now and have been very happy with it & the process. Within the last few weeks the app has been super frustrating! It freezes, it lags, it "stops working" and crashes my phone. I have had to find & use an alternative online ordering app & service for my groceries. Developers...you need to fix these issues!

I use it more as a visual grocery list than for actually doing grocery pick up bc I don't always go to Walmart to get groceries but like the visual reminder of what I need to get. Since the last update all it does it crash/freeze. If you try to search for something you might be able to scroll through about 10 items before it searches and spins forever. Or it says there is a certain number of results but only shows you about a 1/4 of the results. Please update it again so that it actually works!

The app is pretty good except for a few issues. You aren't able to send your receipt information to the Walmart app's Savings Catcher. I've had to copy the information and try to enter it manually. Out of the last two orders, I was able to enter it only once and have the app accept it. You couldn't see what was on the order, just a note saying that the prices were compared. The 2 apps don't communicate between each other. The other is that after I picked up my order this last time, the Grocery app still shows I haven't picked the order up. 2 other orders before that were okay, so might be result of app being updated.

Between being extremely slow, glitchy, and poorly laid out, this app is incredibly frustrating. Walmart's grocery pickup is wonderful, but having to order through this app makes me want to shop elsewhere. And now, every item you purchase something, in store or through the app, it automatically gets put on your favorites list. So you can't organize your list in any fashion to make shopping easier and your favorites list gets so big you might as well just search for each item you want

Seriously still needs updates! Still wish it had peoples reviews of each item tho like the Walmart app does so I know what people think of items. It would also be nice if I could go to each items page through my grocery cart. Not every item is on the app either. Another thing that really annoys me is that when I'm in my favorites, it won't let me select a category up top. Once in a while it does but it's rare that it actually let's me. It's so annoying to have to go through the whole thing.

Great. Revolutionary!! Saves time by not having to go to the store and shop, and it's super easy to use. I save money by not buying too many unnecessary items. I spend so much extra when Im faced with so many options at the grocery store. The app suggests a few extras that may pair well with my other items, but isnt overwhelmingly swamped with product ads. Love this app. It has literally been a game changer for me.

Pretty solid app, BUT - one feature missing is the ability to click an item in your cart and go to the item description page. It definitely hurts the app that you can't do that. Sometimes you want to confirm nutrition info or product size, etc., so it sucks you have to look it up and find it again! Also, sometimes if you modify the cart when your service isn't good, the app doesn't update so you end up ordering things you didn't want to or missing things you needed. Other than that, excellent.

App needs fixed. I used to love this service and the selection of products. I have been unable to use it for a couple of months now as it will freeze and crash almost instantly. I don't have time to keep opening the app, check to make sure the last item added ended up in the cart, and then try and add another item before it crashes again. It quadruples the amount of time it should take. Since they are making it almost impossible to use, I have had to switch to Kroger's app & they're losing my $

It works great for getting groceries delivered or ready for pick-up, but has some issues. We tipped the driver with cash and there isn't a way to tell the app that so we are getting constant emails, pop ups, etc. Notifications telling us to tip the driver. They keep coming, so it needs a "tipped with cash" option. Also, I wish they were better about keeping up with stock. Several items we wanted were not in stock, some we really needed.

This service is great! I always dreaded having to go grocery shopping because of the people. This allows me to get what I need and not over spend. The app however is still in need of some work. It freezes alot recently and I always make sure its up to date. I can't search through my favorites saved witout having to go through all the categories then half way it just starts to load and then freezes. It that cpuld be fix in the next update that would be great and I would give it a 5 star rating.

It's great, but there are still some bugs that need to be worked out. For one, you cannot edit delivery or pick up times after you have selected. However, if you call the help line someone will answer quickly and if nessessary will put order in for you. I have used the pick up feature half a dozen times and it is amazing to drive up and have someone put your order in your car for you. I was there for like 5 minites instead of the 2 hours. And now they have delivery in my area, even better.

Been using this app for over a year now, but within the last couple of months it will freeze every few seconds while ordering, even after updates. Pick up was great in the beginning, but I feel like they have slacked off and aren't as eager to do a good job lately. Orders have been more consistently wrong, and the local stores haven't been wanting to fix it. So different than their attitudes in the beginning. Also, some items need clarity when ordering, like produce that needs to be weighed.

I have been using Walmart grocery pick up for over a year. I do 3 or 4 pick ups each week. I have had very few issues with the app or pick up service. The rare occassion that I had an issue, Walmart was quick to either give a refund or address it other ways. The grocery pick up staff are always so friendly and make you feel valued as a customer. The product substitutions are always terrific, often giving upgrades or larger products with out extra charge. I have never waited longer than 10 mins.

Love shopping from home and the customer service. The app will tell you they are out of an item when perhaps the barcode changed a bit?Not sure why. I have checked while in the store and scan the item and it would say out of stock. App needs improvmet on search feature. One last issue is crushed or broken items once in a while. They will refund right on the spot. Other wise its an awesome service. Thank you!

Suddenly the app is crashing and freezes. I loved it but now it's become burdensome to use. Update: 9/11/19 I deleted the app re-installed it. It worked beautifully for a few days and now it's back to crashing and freezing. Almost done with Walmart and this app. Update: 9/16/19 update installed. App still crashes and freezes. Sigh. My review remains the same. So sad. Was good while it lasted.

The app itself could use a little more user experience, but that's quickly overshadowed by the convenience of it. If youre looking to cut down on time while saving money, there's no better option. No more impulse purchases, reorders are saved and simple, and you can easily check stock of things while you're at home. Pickup is quick and everyone is always super friendly. Sometimes you even get free samples!
