HOW IT WORKS
Messages are encrypted on your device so WAMR can't access them directly.
The only solution available is to read them from the notifications that you receive and create a message backup based on your notification history.
When WAMR will detect that a message as been deleted, it will immediately show you a notification!
MEDIA MESSAGES
WAMR will also try to save any media attached to the message and if the sender deletes it, you will receive a notification.
The following media types can be recovered: pictures, videos, animated gifs, audio, voice notes, documents, stickers.
LIMITATIONS
Please be aware that it doesn't exist an official and supported way to recover deleted messages. This is a workaround and may encounter limitations caused by the selected messaging app or even the Android OS:
1) Text messages are recovered by your notifications, therefore, if you have put a chat on silence, or if you are currently watching a message on the messaging app before it's deleted you will not receive a notification so WAMR can't save it! This also obviously means that is impossible to recover notifications/messages before you downloaded this app (so download it quickly!).
2) If messages aren't being saved, it may be caused by Android killing WAMR. Please remove WAMR from all battery optimization services!
3) WAMR can't save files if they aren't completely downloaded! So if you are offline or you have an unstable connection, or in general if the sender deletes the message containing a media before the messaging app downloads it, WAMR can't do anything to save it.
4) If you aren't using a WiFi connection, some media may not be automatically downloaded by your messaging app because of your settings. You can change this behavior in Messaging app > Settings > Data and storage usage and increase your chances.
Other limitations may be caused by your Android version, or your system language (in particular if it is right-to-left). Please feel free to contact me and submit me any problem so I can try to fix it!

It's a really good app! Not only does it do a great job at recovering deleted messages, but, you can also go into the app and check on messages without it going read (blue ticked). Overall a great app, my only issue, however, is that sometimes the notifications get scrambled with deleted messages that got recovered, even though that message wasn't deleted. Other than that it's a truly amazing app.
It is a really great app. It can restore any type of media including pictures, videos and voice notes. Not only does it recover messages but u can also save people's status, so u dont have to download two apps for saving statuses and recovering messages, because this app does both so it saves space and it super great and it doesn't have any ads, does it get better than this, nope dont think soo
Have been using it for some time now. App does exactly what it says, recovers deleted messages. Whatsapp status downloads are also possible. It does, as everyone says, have way too many ads, which may be an irritation to some. One huge problem I've had to face from the past one-two months is the fact that the app installs apps like sharechat, moj... into my phone without my consent. I tried checking the permissions allowed, but I couldn't find a fix for this. Please address this issue.
I tried other recoverer apps and this one is the best so far! I can recover messages, pictures, videos and even voice messages. I never rated an app before as I thought no one needs to know why I think an app is good. But for this, I need the world to know that this, WAMR, is REALLY the best recoverer app! I recommend this to everyone! Whenever someone deletes their text, picture, etc, the app will show a notification that someone has deleted something! So far, it never, misses a deleted text!
App keep saying that the service has been interrupted. Even following the steps provided for my Android version didn't help, uninstalling and reinstalling doesn't help either. It could be that it doesn't work on Doogee, Android version 9. But before that I got to use it and it worked fine so it could just be my device.
This used to work on my old device. At the start, after enabling the notification and media access when I clicked the right arrow, it won't redirect me inside the app. I kept clicking and clicking but still nothing. When I closed it on my recent apps, I was finally inside the app but the only problem is there's a yellow banner warning me it's interrupted and it won't recover notifications. I already disabled the battery optimization on this app. But nothing.Please I need this this app. Help me.
I was not expecting that this app will do what i really wanted. I mean that i could see when other people write or send voice note or even videos and pictures and delete all of a sudden and we cannot view those files.. This app shows every deleted stuff. Five stars for the developer. 👏 👏. There is only one issue that it shows adds. Not frequently but it does..
I am not happy with the app, I have been trying to use it but it keeps telling me WAMR has been deactivated and I have done everything possible to activate it but it still remain the same. I have installed and uninstall the app so some many times thinking it will work but I was wrong. To me this App is useless and very annoying.
Everything works fine with the app. The only trouble is, suppose a text comes from a person and you ain't seeing the screen. If the person deletes the message(while the chat can be seen on the screen), this particular message isn't recovered. Please look into it and fix asap.
When I downloaded this at that time it was going good all the deleted messages automatically I get it through notifications but after of their some update it's going seriously very bad service now I didn't get any notifications & not recover any messages. So please don't download this app.
It's good compared to others. One issue, all whatsapp media deleted is again getting saved by WAMR. It is a feature, but what's the point if I don't want it. You fan give option in setting to enable/ disable. Or, store it temporarily for 1d max.
7/11/2020: Bought Pro version. Need an option to record only deleted messages. Often doesn't record audio, images, videos and statuses, even if notifications are on and downloading media is fully on(wi-fi and mobile data). In play market, there's only one app that records (supposed to record and save) all deleted messages, and that's WAMR.(4 stars) 10/16/2020: It can't store data on sd card...(2 stars)
I like this application very much. You don't need to keep a screenshot of your contact's status you can download with a good quality either it's a photo, meme or video. It's nicely recovery the deleted data or media.
I don't know what exactly is wrong with this application. It used to work absolutely fine in the previous phone. But now I have Vivo Y33s and it does not recover any deleted message or media. I'm tired of reinstalling the app again and again. If you have a solution then please let me know.
Useless app. I don't how they get so much rating. Always get stopped, barely any recovery, irrespective of message, photo and video. If you restart you phone you need to restart the app also which quite strange with this app. Horrible
Great app! 👍 Does what it's supposed to do, mostly... Occasionally gets 'interrupted' or 'deactivated' and needs some attention. Somewhat frustrating but relatively easy to solve and hasn't been as frequent recently, so maybe the bug has already been sorted out. 🤞
Its indeed a good app that helps you retrieve a lost message which slipped out from you written down by someone you have been chatting with. Thanks for this app cause it makes the work easy and clearer for myself in particular mostly when one outpours their filthy heart on you and delete it immediately. Need to upgrade in getting a VN that was deleted as to be able to hear it than just showing it in the WAMR.
It was doing great for the first days. Later on it started to go offline, and in the end it was completely useless, i had to restart it again and again, and mind you there is no way to retrieve a message that got deleted when the app was offline. This app is use less...in the long run, kind of a liability. Please let me knoe if any of you found a better app.
Everything works fab !!! The only thing which needs to be fixed is : 1. Why does it recover the media which i deleted myself from gallery. 2. It just shows the statuses which i opened rather than showing all the statuses. 3. Lastly in the status section categorize it as photos & videos. Plz fix this, it will surely rock the app...
Easy to use. Update made it a bit bad. Need some changes. 1. One feature to show only deleted messages 2. Date and time of deleted messages. 3. Add new feature to save one time view only images and videos. If not directly a feature where we can view it through the app and it gets saved or it views it directly and we have to view it via the app however possible. 4. An daily notification to reactivate the app if needed. Just now we only know about it when we open the app and its too late.
"Crashing when tried to delete recovered files from the app", I'm using Galaxy S9 plus with Android 10 . The PDF formats are not supported , doesn't recover stickers and in some cases Pictures too even when data is on and whatsapp is running in background, fix app crashing bugs and place delete icon to the left side instead of right side and beside the save icon , fix the bugs and make app efficient . Only useful to save Statuses nothing else.
The app feels laggy even when I'm using a high end device. The most frustrating thing of all is that I felt like this would be an app that I'd use in the long run and that's why I made a purchase to remove the ada from the app, but guess what the ads didn't go away, only my money did! I want my money back!!!!
Overall it is good, not increase battery usage so much, and able to capture the WA notification message most of the time. However would like to request for a date separator in the message, an option to auto delete recovered message after certain days, an backup option to Google drive perhaps.
This app a good idea, and I congratulate you. 'Cause the idea behind this app is extremely genius. So, there's some error logic in the recovery process. It recover message well, but it continues to notify messages that are not even deleted from the sender, it's a little bit annoying. I give it 4 star actually. Once again, the mindset behind this app is so genius. You give the world an excellent alternative from GB :-)
