The app is a great as an idea, but if almost completely stored stopped working on my device (Huawei P10 pro). The fog of doesn't load, the map itself often won't load to.
Great app, it reminds of Age of Empires II when I used to explore maps. It drains the battery when running mut it really great !
It used to work quite well, but since my phone has been updated to Android 9.0 wanderlust just doesn't start anymore.
App is completely broken and fails to launch on Android 10. A shame, since it was really good when it used to work.
Wanderlust has many broken features and is ultimately flawed. I am unable to export my files to GPX now, after Fog of the World finally came to Android. Great.
is it possible to make maps downloadable, and also have the fog load faster? i sometimes have to wait minutes to load all of my fog. my gpx file is only 12mb, but it sometimes requires a while to load.
I loved this app but it hasn't been updated since 2016 so no longer works with the OS. Wish it worked again
Used to be amazing. no longer updated to work on Android 10
I loved this app for over a year and now it won't even open :( extremely upset as I used to use it daily
App has stopped working since Android 9. Use to be my favorite app.
The app stuggles to load even with good connections
not as good as free version
Doesn't work on Android Q
While the concept is good. The app does not function that well. When you have enough data points the map will fail to load your progress past 5km². The app is also slow to record data points. If you drive fast enough you will have jagged straight lines. I'm also now unable to export my progress to either GPX or KML. Developer Rolling Fortress please spend some time updating this app to make it more functional.
The idea is nice and I'd really like it to work, but as it is now it doesn't record my paths most of the time, probably because it demands 100% GPS accuracy which is barely ever the case in a city with tall buildings. Maybe if the minimum accuracy was configurable it would work, I don't know.
Don't buy. 1) Don't load the map if you have too much gps points register. (So the app become 100% useless after few months or data imports ) 2) Support don't answer email 3) Life Battery Saver feature in the free version doesn't exist in this version. Look like Rolling Fortress only try to make money on the hipe of this game. Update: I make some test. If you export the data, you can see that there duplicate datas. Which explain one of the lack of performance. Oh, and the import don't work anymore…
This is the best GPS game I've seen. No pokestops, no fiddly geocaches to find, just pure exploration. No need to bury your face in the screen, you can play this game with the phone in your pocket! In fact, play this game on your bike! This game is essentially a tool to help me walk down new and unfamiliar streets every day, and that is basically exactly what I was looking for, so thanks!
They have fixed the issue with exporting maps BUT it crashes very often and when you zoom on the map it rarely works.
Unfortunately app development stopped in 2016. Nowaday the app just shows me errors, either the map is not loading properly leaving me a blank grey screen or it's so slow showing me the fog.
Before the last update, I wasn't able to import by map from the demo, but since the demo is so short it made no difference. My only problem is that it seems to need data in order to record where you've been.
A great app to uncover the world. The only bad thing I found was the Google+ sign in is broken so I can't access the leaderboards and achievements.
I really like the app! But the bugs are quite annoying. Sometimes the fog layer refuses to load and you have to restart the app. In other instances the fog layer doesn't load when you start the app, and you have to rerestart it.
This app is so hit or miss. sometimes it works great. other times, not at all. the leaderboards broke months ago, so no matter how much I travel (over 2000 miles in the last 2 weeks), nothing changes.
