This app is compatible with my Chromebook (most recent version of Chrome) but the Wansview Cloud app is not, so both apps are completely useless. I don't know what happened, but when I initially bought the unit 3 months ago both worked on my Chromebook and then some genius must have "improved" some feature. Nice when it works but they always seem to figure out a way to throw in a monkey wrench (like you need another damn app to make this one work but it doesn't work with your computer so screw you). You need to do better, Wansview.

Worst camera and camera app I've ever experienced. I unplugged my camera to move it, when I plugged it back in, the app just said that my camera was off line. I've been through every set up step 1000 times, uninstall and reinstalled the app, even tried to email support at wansview but never got any sort of response or suggestions on trouble shooting. Do not recommend. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME!

Difficult to navigate app with settings spread all over and grammar problems throughout make text difficult to understand. But the biggest issue is you can't fast forward through video during playback. If you have 10 minute clips and you're looking for something at the end... you will have to watch all 10 minutes and just wait. You should be able to grab the dot on the timeline and drag it to start playing where you want (like every other media player in the known universe).

The app is very bad on android. The zooming functionality doesn't work well. Once you're zoomed in it's very weird to move the picture around. When i slide my hand up or down to move the camera up or down it moves it right or left instead. We have the app on apple phone and it works perfectly. Wish they fix these issues in Android

So far this has been a really bad experience. the app crashes constantly and our camera disconnects or cannot connect more than half of the time. Customer service is also a joke. They say they are a small company and want to back their product in terms of quality but dont really solve any issues swiftly when it malfunctions. It seems thay everytime I really need to use the camera app for my daughters room, it doesn't work. Hence the one star review. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

These cameras were great until the most recent update. Now they don't work on my samsung s9 unless I'm connected to the same wifi network as the cameras, which defeats the purpose of having the cameras in the first place. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the cameras and the app and it doesn't help. It just says "connecting"and "offline" constantly. You need to roll back this update.

The APP has a lot of places that need to be improved, especially the UI, but it meets my basic needs for my Wansview cameras. Sometimes it will not respond on my Samsung phone, but normally restarting the app will solve this problem. I personally think the main features on Wansview cameras are wonderful. Cameras are very easy to use and stable. If the developers can fix the APP crashing problem, it will be the best choice for you.

I was able to set up and install, as well as capture motion video. However I cannot get the menu to come up below the videos to delete anything. Also it's not recognizing my SD card. I've got a Samsung pad. At this rate I'm going to run out of internal storage because I can't use my SD card and I can't delete any old videos.

The app worked fine on my iPhone, but now that I have the android version (Pixel 3 phone) the app crashes, freezes, and will sometimes even open and close multiple times. I often have to reset my phone in hopes the app will work long enough for me to view my two cameras. I'd say the app works issue-free about 20% of the time.

I was having a hard time connecting my camera to the app under wifi for like a good 1hr. I finally figured it out. You need to connect it to the ethernet cable at 1st to pick up your internet. ONCE CONNECTED then go ahead and remove the ethernet cable and you are good to go. Guys give a try. The app does have a few bugs though. Once I get a alert and try to go into the app it won't show the camera being online. I have to hard close the app then it works.. hope this helps out.

I've really tried. Reset camera. Base station. Router. New IP. Fresh app install. Purge SD card. Nothing. I got notifications a day late, the time zone has never been accurate, continuously runs in background, and requires far too many permissions. Pay a little more, and get legitimate security. Not worth the hassle or lower cost.

The WANSVIEW PC Cloud app under Windows 10 seldom works for me. The WANSVIEW Android Cloud app works some of the time for me. The cloud cameras are each less than 20ft from the router. The app shows the cameras online but pretty much displays "preparing to play video" all of the time. Or "reconnect". One camera (the one closest to the router by 8ft) is the worst of the two as it seldom ever can be viewed.. The SETUP works great with no issues or problems. Conversely, The WANSVIEW IP app under Windows 10 and Android works virtually 100% of the time. That camera is at least 100 ft from the router in another building. I'd give the IP app a 4+

The UI and functionality is very mix and match. One loading screen might have a certain loading spinner while another might have the old android spinner in a popup. Very disorganized. Only makes sense that the code is disjointed as well. Also poor english when it comes to the messages being displayed.

The camera is good but the app is awful. It crashes my Samsung S8 with regularity, freezes, and the motion detection notifications don't work that well. No updates have been issued since I got it, so I have to assume they don't care about these issues.

The app is ok but it disconnects a lot. I have 2 indoor wireless cameras for 6 months and already one of them is bad. The camera will only stay connected for a short period of time even though it is next to my wireless gateway. I have to reboot almost every morning. I talked to Melody with Wansview support and she had me go through steps I already performed to no success. I basically threw away the camera and had to buy a new one. So, cheap throw away cameras...

This worked alright for the first month but now it's impossible to use due to the app playing up,it just stopped one day so i thought it needed updating. Whenever I scan the QR code on the camera, it just tells me to install the correct app...I download the new app using the link provided, scanned it and it just diverts me back to the old one! It's an endless loop with no way of actually connecting my camera. I give up and it's going in the bin!
