The game will take you into the times when aviation was in its dawning of existence – the first Wright brothers machines went into the sky just 11 years before the Great War! Engineers were quickly adapting this brand new invention into military purposes while creating fascinating and sometimes oddly looking planes.
In Warplanes: WW1 Sky Aces you take control of over 30 historical airplanes – including the Fokker Dr.I, famous for its pilot Manfred von Richthofen a.k.a. “Red Baron”. Others stemming from light fighters like the Airco DH.2 to an enormous 4-engine bomber like the Sikorsky Ilya Muromets – all planes can be customized and upgraded.
Choose between two modes suited for different playstyles and skillsets. In Pilot Mode you can simply focus on air combat, collecting and upgrading planes. Squadron Leader Mode adds an extra layer to the gameplay – apart from combat, you also need to manage resources, hire and train pilots and expand your base.
Two campaigns for Triple Entente and one for Central Powers will let you experience all major fronts of World War I – you’ll fly above most countries that participated in the conflict in various types of mission. Pilot fighters and bombers. Protect or destroy ground targets. Face mighty zeppelins and anti aircraft artillery to change the tides of war.

A fun game if your bored and a history nut. The missions are simple and fun. You can even make your own if you don't fancy the campaign.
Extremely limited in scope. Fun, but after you level up your planes the games over. No new levels and the in game gold becomes useless. It's like the creator said "let's make a game where you create an awesome fast car, and as soon as you add the final touches you park in a garage and never drive it again"
This game is the best! It Has a Nice Graphics and Easy control! And also can you add the Albatros D.III on this game?
This game is like a time machine that takes me back in history to one of the bloodiest global military conflicts of all time. Easy to "pick up and play" (although not all of the flight controls seem to work), and a very entertaining (as well as educational) adventure, where I can "do my bit" to save the Free world...or even FIGHT AGAINST IT, if I want to...whichever side I want to fight for...it's ALL up to me, depending on MY mood at the moment!
Quite good, especially since it now has altitude and speed meters. However, I do agree on the suggestion that free movement in the skies should be added. I've been playing your WW2 warplanes for almost a year now, and I do feel that just simple left right, up and down is slowly being boring. Even without the use of the aim assist, I'm still bored. I believe it is now time to allow us to do rolls, maneuvers, and stalling.
This game is good, but it needs some changes. First, the aircrafts which need money to buy, please change it so that we can buy those by gold. Also add one more scenario, that on land, a battle is going on, with tanks of both sides, from trenches.And one last thing, please add a cockpit view with 360 degree rotation. If you make these changes, it would be a great game. And the best thing about this game is it's good graphics,easy control and easy to play.
Good graphics, does not require Wi-Fi or Internet connection for first level play, good audio, good controls, good information, no tutorial required because there are on screen control guide to toggle between coarse and fine movement for targeting. Does not require intrusive permissions on the device like many other games like this. The enemy pointer it's an excellent idea 4 games like this. Kudos to the developer. Good for simulation and pilot game players. Not a strategic game.
Love it! Graphics are awesome, gameplay is awesome, challenging but not overly complicated. Also, they have a version for Windows which is the same exact game where you can login to the cloud and be able to keep up with your progress on all devices which makes the in-app purchases well worth every penny. Friggin awesome game!!!
A very fun game. Lots of customization and very beautiful planes. There aren't too many adds but you can watch them for rewards. One thing I would like to see added is the ability to buy multiple of the same plane. As it is you can buy more hangers than you would ever need for the planes available. I notice the same two planes are damaged the most often and I would like to remove them from my squadron without being down two planes.
I really love this game but there are a few thing that would make this game amazing. I think if you had the option to view the game like you were in the cockpit that would be really cool. Also if you could land on roads and bring your speed up and down even if it had no real function would be really cool. I know this next one is a stretch but if you actually controlled the base by walking around in 1st person view and you could just get in and out of your plane to take off would be awesome!
Nice game. Beautiful graphic. I somehow liked it very much at the very beginning and bought All Planes pack, which is too much load on resources at the starting. Maybe we should be able to unlock them one by one for free(already bought by real money), as the base's capacity becomes bigger. Change on the above point, many more different maps and an addition of a kind of story mode will make it sure-5 star.
It's good. Would be GREAT and a 5☆ game if you were able to play against others online.
This game is fantastic, don't get me wrong, it's just that there are somethings that can be added to make it better. For one, fix the bug with chosing fighters in Mission Editor. Another thing they could add is allowing you to customize the plane colors in Mission Editor. The final thing they could add is the ability to buy more than one of a specific type of plane in the main game. This is still a great game, but I think these changes would make it even better than it already is.
I played this game on other devices, the gameplay is great and graphic is good. I love the plane and the voice over the radio. And i like the way you use the national voice. "Home Net Games" really doing a good job at this. After i played the ww2 version. Same feeling. Great like this game. I hope you create a game for a modern version. Dogfighting modern jet style. Please add the modern version. I love these two game from your studio. Love the game.😄
Great story, great graphics, great sound, great ad balance. Would think to buy if it weren't so difficult to enjoy. Have been trying for a few days but is not something you want tonplay after a long days work. Difficult also to find out how to better play it. You will be shot down anyway. Still great effort. I am not sure how long will be playing though.
Good concept. Great graphics and overall gameplay. But its got a few things letting it down badly. 1) enemy pilots are idiots. They never use their altitude to evade and and cant shoot straight either. 2) trained friendly pilots are like Jedi and cant miss 3) buttons throughout the game are very glitchy and have got worse with latest update. 4) cant stall the plane. Makes for a smooth arcade style; great for noobs but a bit stale for experienced players. 5) overall needs a difficulty setting
Controls are kinda sticky when I scroll thru lists of something(like tactical orders for planes DURING combat!), it seems to accidently click on things I didn't wanna click on, and that gets annoying- very quickly. It seems as though your game just has a touch sensitivity issue, cuz this doesn't happen on other apps on my device. Besides this one flaw in its UI, I otherwise think this is a great game to play. Btw, I'm told that radios weren't yet used in combat fighter planes until AFTER ww1.j/s
Nice graphics. Controls tend to float everywhere...no precision at all. Causes way too much frustration. I play to relax and this adds to stress. I am responding to your advice....I adjusted the settings when I originally downloaded and tried several settings to mitigate floating. Controls are horrible!
I'm not a gamer but remember fondly the WW1 flying game that was included in Windows 3.1. This game is everything we could have wished for back then. I am amazed at what you folks have been able to do with a tablet processor. The detail is wonderful. A few suggestions: Make it possible to turn off the targeting symbols. They hide the details of what is behind them. Make it possible to reposition the throttle and firing icons. Their position in the lower corners make a tablet awkward to hold.
Great game but I keep losing sound after the first ad
I love your other game Ww2 planes. But this game feels like the same game with WW1 planes slapped on to it. As well the pictures for both of the apps are the same except you changed the planes. Just saying some more variation would be nice between the 2. For example, since the pilots are more exposed in this game, maybe you could add a feature where you could shoot out the pilot instead of outright tearing apart the aircraft. Although the different menu 👍 Other than that though good game.
