While the story adventure is fun I honestly feel like I've come across 2 bugs: 1. Game freezes up most of the time after completing the vip challenges only. 2. As of 2 days ago every single opponent and AI opponent keeps crit striking my whole team on the first turn. Can't tell if it's a bug or I'm just very unlucky. Update- Warrior Draft is one of the most unbalanced events ever. I love losing to every single person I go against instantly KO'ing my team in 1 or 2 turns.
Good graphics, good gameplay, but game gets too repeatative and very quickly its hard/slow/boring to level up and progress further. Way too much grinding, unbalanced battles, bugs, and too much stuff to do daily. 2022 edit: nothing fixed, ppl deinstalling or stop playing 24/7 cause so many grinding, disbalance and bugs. Lowering star to 1 until fixed.
Definitely pay to play, but fun. Be prepared to do the same levels over and over and to take forever to level your characters. Without paying for the sub You'll earn maybe 100 gold for a level but leveling up will be thousands per character and sometimes per item too.
I'm giving it four stars with the caveat that we all know phone games are PTW cash grabs. The game play is fun, there is some strategy to it, it is also grindy if you aren't dropping dollars. Around lvl 10 the match making for some of the pvp events becomes ridiculous to the point of unwinnable. All that said, it's fun for what it is, a phone game. **Edit** Calling this game "Grindy" post lvl 12 or so is the understatement of all understatements...ever...Just uninstall.
This is very much a pay to succeed game. You can make it to about level 10 then you will hit a brick wall in the pvp and battle modes. I have submitted several concerns about the uneven pairing to which I get a canned response of pairing is based off of trophies and if you get paired with a much higher level then they must have just lost a bunch of trophies. The problem with this is, 90% of the time I am up against much higher players and when I choose to play against the games bots... the same!
From the moment I downloaded the game it will only give me a notification saying failure to log in and when I click that it takes me back to the play store. I have a galaxy s22 ultra and no other game or app is having any issue so it's not a device issue as I've seen some responses. Let me know when it's fixed and I'll try it out and maybe change the rating.
So far I'm enjoying the game, the classes are great, gameplay is greet but I really think there should be a dungeon you can grind for gold, you don't earn much in the story and can't keep up with upgrading your heroes gear, this is the only thing holding back from 5 star
All combat with bad PVP turns time runs out before you can select anything. No character creation. Lots of pressure to join pay VIP. Gets repetitive fast. Guilds are unfriendly. Near constant large updates. 03/23/22 After last 3 updates havent been able to get past the loading screen for over a month. Put a lot of time into this game only for updates to render it unplayable sadly. Glad i didnt spend any money. Was thinking about doing the vip before this happened.
I like it but it's always buggy. A turn based Dungeon crawler where you collect treasure and xp to level up badges characters from the forgotten realms.
Very very very much a pay to advance in the game type game. Great concept but failure to provide unless you are willing to buy a subscription and buy buy buy from the store. Even the free plays when you win a large number of gems you loose cause you won't get them, they are for VIP only which means you have to be subscribed and paying a monthly fee.
Update 6/11/20* Game crashes way too often. One guild event run yesterday and 6 levels took me almost an hour because game kept freezing up. Not going to keep paying if this continues. The $9.99 a month VIP is well worth it! Whenever I've had an issue a simple email has always fixed it. Thanks guys!
It's a good game to pass time with. There's no one in pvp so I get put against bots that are higher level then me. Not much of ways to gain gold to level up your equipments.
Lots of fun in the beginning, but at some point progress very much relies on paying actual money over and over again.
Major pay wall, and getting stuck at higher pvp levels is super discouraging and a major waste of time. Needs serious rebalancing there.
Haven't been able to connect to the game for several days now. I only get a connection error window after several minutes
Gameplay is good. However the app is buggy. After special events sometimes the screen remains blank (without a menu). The fix seems to be to go into the hero menu and then back to events. Choosing other menus makes it go back to the blank events screen.
I love the game and it's really good which reminds me of the table top DND. The reason why I gave four star is because I was hoping you guys can help us further to create grind skirmish to farm gold, items, and experience for our characters. Overall the game is really good and we just need farming skirmish. Thank you for the game.
Definitely a pay to win game. You'll hit a brick wall where essentially you need to pay or it's a mind-numbing grind. They have new heroes that are way overpowered than the free ones and of course you have to buy them for the price of AAA game each. It's ridiculous how much they're trying to monetize this not great game.
Changing rating due to PvP. Matching is horrible. Constant level mismatches (level 8s vs levels 10-13). Edit. 2 years later, same horrible match making system. Level 8s againt level 12s. Not even a chance to win. Unsure why this hasnt been fixed yet.
In the past 48 hours I have to keep uninstalling and reinstalling the app. I'll be doing the PvP battles and then it gets hung up and glitches and when I clear the app or restart my phone the app pulls up and trys to go right back to the battle even after it's been 5+min ago and won't do anything else til I delete the app again.... Why does this glitch keep happening?
I keep having to reinstall it, losing lost levels and characters. I get to 7-8 levels and the game just gives up. I'm done.
Really enjoy this game. Has a great D&D feel. Other reviews state it is slow to level up without buying packs but I find the progression is actually a lot like the actual D&D game. It takes a while to level up there too. EDIT 3: updates have fixed most issues I have had. Very engaging and fun game, almost too many things to do. Recommend for all D&D fans.
