Watch Food Network

This used to be such a great app. Now I can't get through an episode withthout crashing and being forced to watch commercials over and over again. Also, how do you not have controls anymore? No skip ahead/behind by 10 or 30 seconds?! I can begrudgingly live with the commercials but this experience is atrocious. How did you take a good, functional app and make it unusable??

When ever the app freezes, which happens often you have to start the episode over entirely when casting to the TV. When you tap and episode to "continue watching", it starts the episode at the beginning when casting to the tv. There used to be a fast forward option, even when casting to the tv, where did that go? I don't want to have to rewatch 35 minutes of a 45 minute episode just because the app froze.

Very buggy. Can't get through a single episode of any show before it shuts down. When I hit resume the episode jumps ahead to the end and auto-plays the next before I have a chance to find my place. If you play the next episode on a different day (not always binge-watching), it still jumps to the end - despite only watching 10 seconds from the last episode auto-play disaster Update: did all the troubleshooting suggestions they have on the website & it's even worse. Lowered review to one star.

Very convenient to watch on the kitchen. It's unfortunate that the last version of this app played better than the one I just loaded. Garbage...but it plays the commercials flawlessly. As instructed, I uninstalled/reinstalled and dumped the cache. Still does not work like it did last season...and the 'Continue Watching' bar doesn't reset. Apparently, if I pay for Discovery +... Not. Three days later, DELETED. Bye...

It is impossible to delete watch history. Even if you play the episode all the way through, ads and all (as instructed by Food Network) it either stays in the history and starts over or the next episode appears in watch history.

Constant crashes during ads. Don't even know why they had to do an update, it was perfect before! It's a shame to be paying for this and have such a bad experience, will be canceling subscription soon if these issues aren't fixed.

The app interface has definitely deteriorated. I cannot watch an episode without it buffering or going out of focus. When HGTV and Food Network were their own independent apps it worked better before getting the same user interface. Please fix!

On the one hand, this app lets me watch many of my faves on demand on my Fire Stick and has a better selection than the TV provider I signed in with does. On the other hand, it's absurdly slow to load its own advertisements, and frequently freezes up so hard on ads mid-show that I have to reboot the entire device to keep watching. I'll try using it on my phone to see if it's any better, but I shouldn't have to.

I really liked this app until about two weeks ago. Now when I try to sign in with my provider it just sends me back to direct v sign in screen in a continuous loop. Not only do I not have access to most of the shows when I do watch free content it doesn't save my programs where I left off anymore. I have emailed technical support but was told to use faq pages even after I told them I have tried everything in those pages.

Still like the content & love that you can get more networks in one app. Used to work great until recently...But now when you come to the end of an episode, it autoplays the next episode or another show, even if you click "cancel" play next. Then it adds that show to your continued watching list. There is also no way to clear your continued watching list or view individual episode info to clear it from the continued watching list. Also have not found a way to turn off auto play.

Terrible app. Frequently replays the same segment of the show after commercials. Won't let me rewatch episodes, automatically goes to the next one.

Constantly crashes during commercials forcing you to restart the app & rewatch commercials. The developers of this app need to get it together.

I love the Food Network. That being said. I am Not a fan of this app. It continously hangs during an advertisement. Why? Fix it! I pay for discovery +. Yet I have to contend with a janky app.

The app was working fine but now after the update it won't let me link to my provider. So, I can't watch live TV and can't watch many of the shows. Please fix this problem. I did contact them and have done everything they said to do but it's still not working. I have submitted requests and dinner everything they tell me to do but it's still not working. Just keep saying something went wrong, try again. Even they're website isn't working right now.

Once the update happened I can no longer cast shows through my Chromecast. It just kicks back an "unknown error". I really enjoyed the shows that were available but this is ridiculous.

I normally don't write reviews but this app is so bad I have to. Literally impossible to restart a show because it constantly skips to the end and moves on to a new show. Very infuriating in 2022.

Installed on Nvidia shield, but won't let me watch because I'm not on cable, just the shield. Shield is stupid and so isn't this! Should be able to pay for this network without the horrible cable company!

This app is really bad. It constantly crashes or freezes and loses where you were watching the episode. I could look past that a bit if it didn't force you to watch very long commercials just to get back to where you were watching. Choosing to make people watch commercials again is not a bug, it's a choice to make that part of the experience.

App use to work great until they updated it. Now it just sits on the load screen and never loads any shows i try to watch. Sad really since i used this app all the time and now im gonna uninstall it from my phone and Amazon stick. May come back if they fix the loading issues or go back to the old app style again.

This app was great until the update. Now it's freezing all the time or crashing. I have tried clearing the cashe to get things back up and running, but my shows are still freezing on the commercial or randomly restarting.

What started as a promising app has turned into a disappointing and glitchy mess that is difficult to use and with the introduction of ads it has ruined the experience. I'm disappointed and won't even bother checking out Discovery+ with how bad just this app is.

Updated review. New phone, updated app and it has been working good for quite a while. But recently is started having audacity issues. Not major but enough that it can get annoying. Over all not bad

This app forgets my FiOS login a lot, resulting in me then having to change my FiOS password to log in and then it STILL doesn't allow me to log in. I know for sure I am using the right password because I just changed it. This is frustrating and really just unacceptable. FIX YOUR APP SO IT WORKS WITH FIOS. Enough already.

No longer lets me watch - always says network down even when I'm connected to my TV provider and perfect connection - also freezes all the time now on my fire stick. Used to LOVE this app too! So disappointed!

The upgrade, the finding tv provider doesn't work. Didn't matter which provider, it won't pull up anything. All my other apps/tv shows work.

Overall I love the selection of shows, and I understand the need for commercials, but can you please play a variety of commercials??!! The same commercial is played at every break and sometimes it is played back to back...I can recite the xeljanz commercial! It's more irritating than anything and I have to mute it. I don't mind the number of commercials, it's the content that's bothersome.

I watch Food Network at least once/day for several hours at a time. I LOVE FOOD NETWORK!!! I HATE THIS APP!!! It rarely acts the way it's supposed to when watching live shows. Once it goes into the commercial break, sometimes I can forget watching the rest if the show. It freezes and tells me it's on a commercial break and 6 minutes later it's still saying the same thing. I have missed the ends of a lot of shows. I'm thankful for the shows I can stream. I hope you fix this issue with Discovery.

I can't believe the app doesn't have the rewind and fast forward features! These should be standard in this day and age! It's annoying and frustrating!! There should also be an EXIT option on the red Marketing banner on the bottom of the screen. The other thing that annoys the heck out of me is the commercial breaks that repeat the same ad two to four times. 🙄 I've taken to muting them to preserve my sanity.

Too many ads. I don't mind watching 2, 30 second ads, but they have just to many. I'm normally well record things on my DVR so I can just fast forward through the commercials. If I wanna watch something with this many commercials I don't need to be on here all I need to do is watch normal TV. I uninstall this app about 20 minutes after using it. I rather watch YouTube or something with less ads. Thanks!
