Watch truTV

I like the content and being able to watch movies but every time it goes to a commerical the app freezes and stops and stops movie you can't pickup where it left off you just have to ff movie to where it quit fix that and 5 stars

2 stars because content is great but app is garbage. Abruptly stops halfway through episode and won't play (streaming via chromecast). This is NOT a problem on any other streaming apps. Also, the UI on this is terrible. Did anyone use it before they launched it? What kind of monster created this layout? Really? A single line scroll right to see all the shows? Come on, get it together, badly in need of a redesign.

fShow selection is great, and awesome to have full compliment of episodes available. Navigation through episodes could be simplified (Example: Tahoma FD has broadcast and explicit available - having to scroll past each to get through the entire list). Also would be nice to have resume episode feature, instead of having to restart if you get interrupted for a length of time. This is probably a bigger nuisance than the navigation aspect of the app. Ability to favorite shows too, perhaps?

Kicks you out of show every commercial break. Then it won't restart where you left off. They should add a dot or marker for commercial breaks to the running time line so I can find better where I left off. I have latest version of app. They need to update a fix right away! Makes it impossible to watch a show without tearing your hair out.

okay app, it works okay if you want to watch on your phone. The big negative is you can not cast to your TV from the App. so i wont be using the app and instead cast from the chrome browser, but that experience is kind of clunky. Edit: No problems with this app at all. being able to cast from my phone is a big improvement.

Downloaded this app to my android tv, and had issues right from the start. Slow loading, frozen screen, app would close during commercials, and there was absolutely NO SOUND -- EVER! Uninstalled and downloaded again with same results. Checked every setting in the app and on my tv and still no sound. Uninstalling again, and will not be downloading it again. App is just flat out AWFUL!!

This app has the longest commercial breaks of every other TV app, combined with the fact that each ad takes a painstakingly long time to load. You cannot enlarge to fullscreen on your cell. Last but not least, the app does not save your place. You have to go through the initial commercials, search through the show to find where you were, deal with the 75-120 second ads each time you enter a segment. The experience was so frustrating, I watched 1.5 shows and am about to delete the app.

I love the shows but I don't like the fact that the videos don't automatically go to landscape mode when I hit play and, the main reason I gave it 3 stars, when I pause the show to answer a text or leave the app but I don't close the app, I have to start the episode all over again. It's kinda frustrating

This app is straight up garbage!!! I have a roku device and every single app that I had ever downloaded and roku has worked perfectly except for TruTV!!! I keep getting authentication errors and having to relog in over and over and stupid code they guve me won't work half the time! It's infuriating! It's really frustrating because I really enjoy a few programs on tru TV like Impractical Jokers, Adam Ruins Everything and The Carbanaro Effect, but the app is just horrendous!!! So I have no idea how to get the latest episodes because I am unable to watch them live. What a serious waste of time! I hope you learn something and fix your app because it is lower quality then ANY entertainment app out there.

Usually only chromecasts the TruTV logo. When it does work, the show will just stop randomly, so you have to go through the hassle of getting everything restarted and to the point you were at again. It's unnecessarily difficult to just select the tv series you want to watch. The old app wasn't great, but it's better than this garbage. EDIT: How is this app still terrible after a year?! I've switched phones and chromecast, so clearly the issue is the app.

Its ok. There are a few bugs/glitches or whatever where ill be watching and if I accidentally turn my phone to portrait and then back to landscape the app just straight up crashes. Also the ads have like 30 seconds of a black screen in between them which doubles the ad time from 3 minutes to somewhere like 6 or 7 minutes. Otherwise ok I use to watch the jokers

Unfortunately, the casting option isn't working for me. Trying to cast to my Chromecast 2, everything connects, but the video that is supposed to play, shows 0:00 at beginning and end, never plays, and the TruTV logo is the only thing on my tv screen. Best of all, it's making me wait through 180 seconds of commercials EVERY TIME that I'm simply trying to troubleshoot the casting BEFORE it will allow the connection. After trying all the steps suggested by the dev, it's still not working.

It's good. I like it. I would love to live it but you have to sign in to see certain truTV shows. Specifically Impractical Jokers. That's the reason why i downloaded this app but i need to sign in to a cable network or something. But i don't have cable at home. I have a wifi connection box but it's from frontier and they don't have frontier 😑😠 so it doesn't really let me watch Impractical Jokers :(( but besides that. It's nice and easy to use. I just started using the app today and i like it.

They are scandalous. They run the preview through commercials. They won't use your phone service to sign up unless you have a major carrier. In short, they are crooks.

Froze. White screen when opened with the tru TV logo and a spinning disk at the bottom which never stopped spinning. Took over 3 minutes to open after freezing 4 times to the point I had to restart my phone since it froze all of my buttons as well. Once in after several tries. I tried to watch a show and was greeted by a black screen I couldn't get passed. Uninstalled.

Content is good, app and website are garbage. Half the time will only load an ad and then it autoplay the next episode, but again plays the ads and nothing else. Also I just spent 10 minutes trying to load an episode of adam ruins everything and it crapped out for the 50th time. All my other videos apps work just fine so it's not the inter connect

FINALLY the 5/20/2020 update made casting to Chromecast BETTER! So far it hasn't dropped or disconnected yet and I'm a few minutes into the show! This would have broken already if it was still the same issue so it seems to be fixed! Good job! The only problem is that it too so long that I'm not watching the jokers anymore since I've seen them all and there's nothing else on here worth watching so really i don't use truetv anymore. Still, thank you for listening and fixing it!

Literally unusable. Downloaded the app, and then opened it up. Can't do anything. Clicking on any icon results in absolutely nothing. It's almost like the app immediately freezes as soon as I open it up. Have uninstalled and reinstalled. Restarted phone. Still unusable. Please fix.

When I read the reviews I thought that the app would not work, but I downloaded it any way I was surprised that I could watch the shows with no problems. P.S If you log in you won't have to keep putting your tv service provider in, and turn your phone sideways so the gray won't show.

Guys I really want to like this app but you guys have got to add chromecast and casting as an option. It would really help your rating. EDIT: I dropped a star for the poor performance of the videos along with lack of chromecast ability. Very disappointed such a popular channel has such an awful platform.

Love the shows just the ads take forever to load and the two plus minutes of ad time ends up taking longer than the 5-10 minutes of showtime. I'm trying to watch. Reminded me on why I stopped watching the shows a while back. The ads got to be too much and the app became a waste of time.

if you can get the app to actually open and not just spin on the start up screen, which is rare recently, you will love when the video freezes after a few minutes and you get to do it all over again. pretty much a useless app unless you love being frustrated.
