Watchmaker

In front of you you find the movement of a golden pocket watch – disassembled in up to 50 single parts.

Will you manage to assemble them and put it to operation againg?

There is one picture of the movement left – and some little hints and of course the necessery tools.

We have to say it's not a simple task - but at the end you will have been concerned with every part of a real watch movement and have put it on it's right place.

And there are many informations and additional pictures to many parts of the movement. So you can really learn something about watches!

I'm an electrical engineer. I had to try this. Not disappointed, although controls weren't initially intuitive. Reading instructions fixed that. As an expert in tiny parts and mechanisms, I was pleased to see process enforced. It's difficult to simulate the feel of turning screws, but each one needs turned. I understand shaky tables, which is well done. Run time for me was 35 minutes. The animation is great. I want both sides, full disassembly. Please return to select after turning screw.

The idea of this app is absolutely great! But controlling the tools is uncomfortable and the app keeps detecting shake (even when there isn't any) and the parts keep moving, so it's impossible to make any progress. I understand that a pro feature was needed but this shake thing is very annoying. I suggest to remove it and come up with another idea for a pro feature.

fun build, the long curved maingear retainer is almost impossible to pickup. it's like the entire piece has to be visible on the table before you can pick it. normally done with a little table shaking. normally causing one gear to pop slightly out of place. quite annoying as picking that one piece up twice is the MOST time consuming part of the game. just shook it off the table and hoping it can be selected when it reappears. and plenty of room to work, organization is half the battle to start!

This is a pretty neat app! The first time trying this can be kinda stressful and confusing, especially with the table shake mechanic, but I just finished a near-perfect playthrough in around 6-7 minutes after having not played for months. It's definitely logical and the position arrows help to sort the screws.

Was fun. Good controls for the most part. Sometimes it was difficult to click on things, but I got it with since trial and error. And I wish there was a way to disassemble first, or to view the different stages of disassembly through photos. Overall fun.

I really enjoyed this. Its quite a challenge and you can learn a lot about parts of a watch. I would like to see a few more different movements and it would be good if only connected parts would move when you run the watch.

The concept is there, and great graphics, but poor controls with bugs. The selection can be unresponsive. Would like to see more development, support involvement. Other than selling shirts!

kept asking me to rate it ,interesting but could do without keep being asked to rate when I don't want to, but also some of the items dont move , or you have to keep tapping , even then that doesn't guarantee it to work , as for watchmaker 2 , which I also downloaded, that is a waste of time none of it work , uninstalled ,waste of time , glad I didn't pay for pro, might have been ripped off.

Can't pick up and move some of the components. Easy to drop the components off the screen. Nice idea but I would probably have to reassemble my phone after throwing it in frustration after 10 mins.

This is pretty cool. I wish there was a list of part names and you could select a part from also because some of these parts are hard to select. Other than that this is great.

Love the visual & whole idea. Need to make it easier to figure out what's missing or wrong. Different watches would be nice to do

Good idea, needs a loupe to zoom. Large part selection like barrel bridge is bad. Part will not select.

I adore this. If you enjoy fixing watches you will love this app. The negative reviews are from people who do not have a well working phone. Try it. “For those that like that kind of a lecture I suppose it is just the kind of lecture that such people would like.”

Waste of time. Only one type of movement is available to assemble. How many times anybody can repeat the same process.

Has great potential, but seems impossible to select some of the parts.

Mic. M. Mar 5, 2021

Why not have the all the parts available so you can assemble the whole watch?
