WATE 6 On Your Side News

Pretty worthless. It sends me notifications that I can only read a little bit of. And when I click on the notification, it takes me to the app but not that article. So now I know there was a multivehicle accident on I40. I have no idea where or when or how or anything else. The page the notification goes to is the traffic page and I don't see any articles with any such headline. Just got the app-now I've uninstalled. I see no point in being alerted about news I can't find info on.

When you click on any news item , it freezes up. Can't scroll up or down. Tried restarting the app. No good. Also , uninstalled and then reinstalled the app , still doesn't work. Now I remember why I uninstalled it a few months ago ! It's garbage ! I'll stay with WBIR and WVLT ! Come on WATE , get with the program !

New, updated version is terrible. Much of a smartphone screen is taken up by ads and news videos that never load, so trying to read the news is too much of a bother. The added weather option is similar. What was once my go-to news source has been uninstalled out of frustration, and replaced with another news app.

Straight news without bias and drama. Wate 6 is second to none in my opinion. The app is very informative and easy to use.

You can't watch anything on the app... And when you try loading stuff you watch an ad and then get an error.

Still can't watch live news broadcast, nor send email to the station...,WHY?? What am I supposed to do just delete the app??

Used to be a great app,but now it's not helpful. I mainly used it for the weather, and the new layout doesn't make it easy. Also, there were tornado warnings that I was only suddenly alerted to an hour after I saw them on the TV. I had even gone into the app when I saw it on the TV and there were no alerts. Very disappointed with this app.☹

I like not having to watch news on television in order to keep up to date with news stories but I have requested notification and never recieve them I have deleted the app and reinstalled. I have even changed phones and service and downloaded and I still don't get the notification. It's quite frustrating so I'll only give a 2 star

I love the app! Great reporting. Solid news. Ads aren't bad at all, and the news/weather notifications are very helpful - not too many, not too few. Intuitive layout, too. You'll especially appreciate it if you're local-ish.

Disgusting amount of ads. You cannot tap any story without a huge ad coming up and when you try to touch the little X to make it go away half the time it thinks you clicked on that and you get more Spam. Don't bother with this app. I deleted it within 10 minutes of downloading it

All I wanted was just weather and school alerts for my area only. I don't want to download an app for that. I used to get just texts with this info and it was awesome but they discontinued the text service so we'd be forced to download this stupid app that doesn't work half the time. Uninstaller and super disappointed

Wont even let me open the app unless I am connected to wi-fi. I have perfect service and unlimited data...not sure why the issue.

Used to be good app but now after the update its trash. Try to look at radar on weather section and it plays just a couple of frames and then freezes.

This is a great app for the news, but not traffic. When you look at the traffic incidents, the app only shows incidents from 2018 and older. If the traffic report was up to date, I would give 5 star.

Current stories which are updated regularly throughout the day. Loads quickly. Up to date forecasts. Easy to navigate. My favorite app for local stations!

It is easy to use,but they should've left it as it was with weather separate. Cause now i can't get good weather alerts like i could. They ruined it.😭

This app update BLOWS, for all the ads trying to load I cannot scroll and read the news without going back and forth several times. One story had 7 ads with 4 video ads, but news never loaded, only blank white

Not a constant bother like many news apps. Just tells me the things I ask to be informed of and doesn't block what I'm doing on my phone. Very helpful.

I find this app convenient to use. Especially enjoy the way the weather is done. Wish the news was presented in a more neutral manner

My favorite weather and news station. I've always watched wate news. My TV doesn't pick it up so the app is Great! I love it

The push notifications include a photo now so you can't read the entire headline without having to open the app.

I just it mainly for the weather and from time to time see something that catches my eye. Only time I have ever had a problem is when they do software update

My favorite news and weather channel. Love the morning weekday lineup. Especially Justin.I didn't think I would like him at first but he's really coming into his own and I think he's an adorable man. Very good at doing the weather too.

Love this app. Keeping up to date with the weather is extremely important for me, thanks to all the huge tree's hanging over my house, and this app makes it so much easier.

Severe weather is in the area but they really don't care about you! You still have to watch an advertisement before you can hear about the weather! They only care about the MONEY! Sad...

You don't have time to get any news it locks up and starts over from the beginning I'm going to uninstall it and that's the station I like the best but their app sux major big

After update the app now gives an error every time. Well what do you expect from channel 6. Back to channel 10.

Videos only play for ads, then error. They stopped working.

Streams well....it is great to get local news when you have "cut the cord". Thank you

I had lost data on my phone for a month it was the the most inconvenient time for me, but NOT havin wate was the worse..... I need to be updated & informed I wouldn't trade ths app for nothin!
