Waterbot: Plants watering

Amazing app ! Would be cool if you could add more days, for plants that need to be fertilized once a year or less, and maybe others options like misting, putting indoors... And it could be useful to have different reminders for each seasons since most plants don't need the same amout of water throughout the year. But it's just things that could be added! It's still a great app, simple to use

I got this app a year ago and at first it was great. I have a lot of plants and they're on different schedules and the app lets you easily add a new plant, input the number of days that you want it watered after, and move on. But then a few months ago they updated it, and now when I check the boxes for which plants I've watered, it will ignore what I've just selected and update certain plants as watered when they haven't been or vice versa. For that, I do not recommend this app anymore.

An easy-to use app with a simple layout that lets you determine the watering schedule for your plants. I prefer this customisable function, rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, but if you're new to keeping houseplants, you may want to look into other apps which have lists of common houseplants and pre-determined schedules. The one improvement for me would be if I could sync this app with my partner's phone, so we know if one of us has already watered a plant.

Great app, I two suggestions. First, a "snooze" feature. I think being able to snooze the alert for a day or two would be good if a plant isn't ready for water, but I don't want to change the watering schedule. The other suggestion would be to show which plant(s) need watering in the notification. If I go in the app, the notification goes away, and I sometimes forget to get back to them. Then they won't go away if I'm not quite ready to water!

I like the tracker as it keeps me on task. But it's kind of annoying. It capitalizes every word, as if everything is a title, and while that works for titles (plant names), it doesn't work for new houseplant parents who want to overjournal our experiences as we learn what matters and what doesn't. So I spend a really outrageous amount of time uncapitdalizing most words. No settings option to alter this. I wouldn't start again with this app.

The interface of the app is too unreadable for me. It's not immediately obvious what certain options do - for example, the button with the lightning icon - what's it's purpose? It's not subtitled. I'm afraid to delete my plant accidentally or something. Not good design. I wonder what the previous interface looked like. Don't get me wrong, the functionality is okay and the notifications arrive on time but using the app is surprisingly clunky.

This is a pretty straightforward app to set watering reminders. However, it doesn't do a good job of explaining the features or labeling them. 8-1-19 There's no explanation for the lightening bolt symbol. It also doesn't explain how to tell the app you've watered your plants, but it's easy enough to figure out. It would be great if you could save your plant progress pictures.

Buggy when you have several plants that need watering at once. When there's more than a page that need to be watered, it will sometimes recheck ones that I've unchecked after they move off screen. So sometimes plants get checked when I haven't watered them and I miss them . Only happens when I have to scroll to see all the plants that need watering, it would be great to see this bug fixed. Otherwise the app is great!

Exactly what you need to simply manage your watering. In my case it's to not over water my succulents! EDIT 2020/11/08 Still a great app but slight bug in the checklist. With a growing collection all the plants on the list that ar not visible on the screen are no longer selected when scrolling. This means an item that I uncheck at the top of the list, not to restart the counter for watering, will end up being checked when I scroll down effectively restarting the counter..

I love this app! It takes the guesswork out of when my plants need to be watered and/or fertilized. If you have multiple houseplants and outdoor plants with different needs you can easily get overwhelmed and forget from time to time when you last watered them. Sometimes it can be glitchy when selecting multiple plants so I just have to be careful to select one plant at a time in the app.

i have a lot of succulents and this app does the job of helping me take pictures of my plant remind me how much time i have left before the next water. but i wish there were more options to work with if say, i had to postpone my watering to a few more days but the app doesnt let me do that. i have to cancel the reminder and then restart again, so i resort to ignoring the watering until i do. there are a few things here and there that could be improved, but the app does the job of reminding.

I really like this app but I run into on ongoing issue for myself. Sometimes I don't water my plants for a while so all my plants get due at once. For me there is a technical issue when I dont select a plant as watered and I scroll down it ends up being marked as watered when it wasn't and then I can't undo it. Maybe I am having this issue because the app is meant for Apple OS and I have samsung? It would also be great if there was a "snooze" option for watering a plant.

desperately needs a data saving feature, possibly linked to your Google account. my main gripe though is when i want to adjust the reminder time, when i hit save it doesn't save my changes at all and in fact REMOVES the reminder completely and just leaves a blank plant profile. i have to keep changing it until it saves properly and it's very annoying. really want to like this app though

Great app, simple yet effective! The only thing I wish would be added is custom reminders! That would be amazing please see this msg! That would be amazing!! Also check marks remove automatically when scrolling through plants that need water or fertilizing, which could be confusing and must exit and enter again. If that could be fixed that would be awesome. All and all a great app!!

Reminders are not working right. I have plants that need to be checked every 3 days. But it has been telling me to water them "today" everyday. There should be a start date you can change. Or a button you can click that says you watered it today. Or a way to postpone watering. I deleted them all from my regular calendar thinking this would work instead, but now I don't know if any of the watering dates are correct. I really thought this was going to work well.

I like that the app is not overloaded with features, but the reminder settings are way too simple: you can specify the interval between watering, but cannot set when the first watering should happen. E.g. if I want to water in 3 days (because it's not totally dry yet) and then every 14 days - I have to wait 3 days and only then set the 14 day reminder. This is a huge nuisance.

Downloaded for notifications to water plants (as I understood, the main idea of the app). No notifications at all. Was checking on app if it's alive and need some boost. Still not working. Reloading, uploading, giving all access, powering up... Call it whatever you want. Useless and pointless. Deleting it.

I would love to give this five stars because it's simple, no ads, and let's me have names and photos and notes for my plants...but the reminder feature is touch and go and checking or unchecking due plants doesn't work - I've had a dozen on "now" for several days. Also, with no account connection/data back-up, if my phone dies I will lose my 40 plants worth of notes and timings.

Overall great, but if you have a lot of plants. This app has a very bad bug that keeps on checking on/off randomly, unwanted plants on your list. So I always end up accidentally checking off the plant for watering even though I have not done so.

Works just like I expected it to. Sends me a notification when it's time to water and shows me in the app which plants need watered. Max watering and fertilizing gap of 60 days. The only thing I wish was different is for the fertilizing. Some plants only need to be fertilized a few times a year or during a given season. I wish it had the option to select which month(s) to fertilize, rather than only every so many days. Other than that, I love it.

Good, app but I really really REALLY wish there were a way to snooze notifications! Sometimes I can't water just then, and it would be nice to get another reminder later. Either that OR if the notifications would tell me WHAT needs watering, so I don't have to click the noti (therefore dismissing it and losing my reminder).

It's ok. I think the dependence on icons for UI elements really let's it down. As a user, it's difficult to navigate this app as a result. I don't know what the icons mean, and they're not spaced in a logical way (that aligns in the same way other apps on my phone do).

Didn't feel like it was very beneficial. I can easily set reminders myself on my phone's alarm app or even with Alexa. I was expecting something more useful that would guide & educated me on my plants & their watering needs. Nope! Take a picture, choose a day, time and it "reminds" you. Thats it (-_-)

This app does exactly what I want. I can store scientific names of plants, it notifies me when I need to water or fertilize, I can keep pictures and notes. It's great. I would like an option to have picture progression of my plants, but that might overcomplicate such an easy tool.
