WaterRower Connect

The app is easy to use and looks like exactly what id want, but it is functionally unusable because of the transmission lag between the S4 and my Note 10+. Data is inaccurate and lags the real time s4 stats by roughly 20 seconds, if it updates at all. The app will not pull HR data from my Galaxy watch4 which is inexcusable given that my phone has the data. In current state the app is broken and not usable. I'd easily grant 4 or 5 stars (and likely purchase premium) if these issues were fixed

Can't get it to reliably connect to the app, and then when it does connect it doesn't bloody well do anything, looks like I'm not not moving. Poor. Where is the Ergatta quality software?

Needs more functionality. No way to program workouts. Settings like screen layout are not retained. Does not connect automatically. Strava integration is nice but kinda annoying that it uploads every distance separately. Would be nice to be able to row against a ghost. Would be nice to have a list of PRs. Also would be nice to get splits. Besides that it's nice.

The app needs a bunch of work. First & Foremost it it need to integrate to Google Fit. Right now there is no way to get data out of the app into any fitness program. Google integration is a fairly straightforward, it should be priority #1 in my opinion. To a few other folks point, pause, units would also be welcome enhancements. The S4 Module allows switching of Units, these should flow through to the app when changed. I did not want to give it 1 star as I understand its a work in progress, but PLEASE crank out a few key missing large gaps to being the app to a higher degree of integration.

Recently purchased the commudule for my waterrower. This app is not great. I find it connects sometimes but not always first time. It can be accurate when I row a set piece. I.e. using distance or time option. But the intervals section consistently fails to record. And even when I did a set distance piece the other day, it only recorded 4000m when I rowed over 7. And the upload to Strava takes over 24 hours! I'm finding this really frustrating and I feel like I've wasted £60!

A good addition to my WaterRower. I found that it connected to my android phone no problem, and my Bluetooth HRM too (Wahoo Tikr) using the required Commodule. Performance was good with no drop out or problems with setting up workouts. There is one thing that isn't right though. The history view doesn't the show of the parameters recorded in a graph. The HR graph is blank. And uploaded details to Strava only shows the final overall results. Can the developers advise?

I like this app, but it does not work well with the hardware which connects the waterrower to it. It never links/connects first time. I have to shut down the app and then it will connect on a second attempt. Also not all the statistics on the rower "S4 Comms 60" module is tracked. This app tends loose your rowing statistics every 10-15 uses, this bug is the must frustrating of all the other issues.

Works great with my Android phone and the com module and chromecast on my TV.. Love that I can save interval sessions, but you need to add the ability to save the screen configurations of the data appearing on the phone. Also, you need to add connectivity to Garmin. If you do that,five stars.

I would like the app and bluetooth if I could get them to connect to my phone. I even tried the iOS app with my ipad and still no luck. My android phone shows that it paired in the bluetooth settings but no luck with this app or with the kinomap app.My ipad wont even pair to the comm. I feel like I'm missing a step but I have read through the instructions.

I would have loved to use this app, but I cannot get it to connect. I recently updated it and tried again. Said it was connected and after 5 minutes of rowing had 0 time and 0 data. I'm using the pixel 6.

connecting to the rower is touch and go. would be great to see some basic workout programs with pre-determined intensities added.

It's a good start, but no power information, the sync with Strava doesn't work, loses connection with the phone before the end of the workout. with few improvement (and a connection to Garmin Connect!) that could be the solution. Keep it up!

I've registered my waterrower via my pc and all is looking great. I've downloaded this app and tried to login. No can't do that because the email address I used is not recognised. I then used my email to attempt to re-register. No can't do that because that address is already in use. Am I missing something or is Waterrower just rubbish at any kind of software compatibility? It's tedious, disappointing and boring. Even the reviews that Waterrower themselves have published say it's rubbish!

I am disappointed that I cannot connect this to my waterrower. Concept 2 offers an app and ecosystem with their baseline models at no additional charge. I am using an independent app that connects with my erg until waterrower offers backwards compatibility to customers that have paid for their equipment. I will re evaluate this app if it is updated to allow connection to the S4 by its USB cable. I do not know why I should upgrade with other waterrower accessories if I can't even try the app.

Bought the water rower and the bluetooth comms unit. Logged into the app paired the device, set for free rowing and app drops out on the 1st row count. Manuals and trouble shooting guides are basic at best or nonexistent. For the price we are paying you need to up your game. Uninstalling so don't bother responding. Installed Coxswain and works from the get go. What a shame your own product doesn't work.

first time back on the machine for a good while so happy with this row. Now aged 74 so need to be a little careful irrespective of my past rowing in the 1960's & 70's!!! then rowing for George Watson's College & later RAF Cranwell & the RAF crew.

Been using the module for 3 years, but with Coxswain. This official app is still buggy after all these years. Hard to believe if you think about it. Waste of time. In response to the developer : the app has serious issues regarding connectivity. If it connects, it doesn't react when I start rowing. Nothing happens.

One of the worst apps I've ever tried to use. It's like this company that makes this fantastic rower decided not to bother with a software team. There are so many better apps out there that you can find on the waterrower website...try them. Don't waste your precious time with this one. And waterrower...do yourself a favor, just get rid of the software team and focus on what you do as well or better than other companies...making a great rowing machine.

Doesn't connect to my waterrower S4 Revised answer: I got an answer from the developer that I need an additional module. Well, now I understand, but I'm very disappointed that for the top brand, after buying the best device they have you need to buy an "external module", I hope BMW and Audi don't start selling cars without Bluetooth, for example. They are not so expensive, but I'm disappointed
