Wave—Send Money to Africa

Their rate is great. I like the fact that I can send money from the comfort of my home. In my opinion the app doesn't have privacy. They should give users the option of accessing the app only through a password. They do request a password when you want to complete a financial transaction but that is not enough. Anyone that clicks on your app can see all your transactions at first glance. That is not safe.

I initially sent $20 to test the app and it worked fine. Then I sent $180 and it said it was processing since 20th of May. I contacted them several times via text and phone and no one could get it resolved. It is now the 25th of May and still hasn't been canceled or deposited. I spoke with recipients bank and they confirmed not on their end and I spoke with sendwave and they said they don't know. I do know money has been debited and posted from my account. I am dissatisfied with the service.

Reliable and trusted Customer service. I don't know if Carol is a robot or human being She understands Customer service. If you are a first time user you will have to go through security checks because it's money we're talking about. If you don't provide the required documentation you will have issues and might be frustrated. Now there are other companies that provide higher rates than Sendwave but with fees and poor services. In a nutshell, Sendwave is better than them all. It's been 3yrs now

Terrible app. Do not bother using this app as your emergency account to make money transfers, when you plan to travel abroad. I've been stranded abroad strapped for cash, because these idiots decided to block my account till they can verify it's me by having a call with me. I told them I can't receive calls to my UK NUMBER WHEN I'M CURRENTLY IN ANOTHER COUNTRY! Yet they still refused to verify me despite numerous emails to them asking for alternative ways to verify my identity. Morons.

Unable to put my debit card details, it keeps on saying there's a problem with the details but actually there's no problem with it. I already uninstalled the app then installed again but the same thing happened.

It was good at the first and second time I sent money for my family. The 3rd times it say action required and need to upload a photo ID. I tried to put my driver's license, tried different angle but it keep on saying too close, too far, move left, move right...very annoying enough for me to stop trying and gi back to world remitly. There no problem at all.

This the platform of choice to send money in the Philippines for 5 main reasons. 1. No fees, 2. Exchange rate is accurate, 3. Customer Service is professional and real person no running you around for any issues, 4. Fast and convenient, 5. Last but not the least it is secured with 2 factor authentication. Have been using it for 6 months and I highly recommend it to anyone. Hence, make sure receiver already has G-Cash account in Philippines.

Too slow to resolve issues. Took them 3 days to increase my limit after sending all required documents. Very bad customer care and all they tell you is to send emails or their call center to send an escalation email to the compliance team which are too slow to resolve issues. Watch out guys! I am switching to their competitor

This app is awesome. No fees and higher exchange rate when you transfer the money. I save a lot of money using this app. Hopefully, It won't change. At the moment, this is only app that I'm using to send money to my love ones, I didn't use the other app anymore.

Sendwave is the worst money transfer app I have come across in a long time! I was asked to upload ID and verify countless times to no avail and no successful transfers. Customer services are super slow in responding to emails. I would NOT recommend the Sendwave app to anybody. Too many red flags and much time wasted getting nowhere. Go elsewhere. There are many that are much more efficient and user friendly. If I could've given minus stars, that would have reflected better.

Installing this app is a waste of space on your phone. They ask for your picture ID and the AI tech they use to capture your image is very annoying and waste of time and doesn't work. Don't waste your time installing it.

Sendwave is really as advertised. I have used their service for a while now and it's hassle free, they have a quick delivery time, and their customer service is always available and ready to help. I highly recommend.

Easy to send money. Really helpful specially if you just want to send minimal amount, what is good is no charge for sending. They received the money in few seconds😊

I have been using this app for about a year ,and can say they are not transparent when it comes to the fees involved in the transfer process. It is stated the app that there are no fees involved however they reduce the exchange rate tricking the user that there hasn't been any amount deducted .....I have switched to worldremit even though they charge a fee you are guaranteed the recipient will receive the full amount according to the exchange rate.

It was so far the best money transfer app I've used! They gave promotional offers for first time transfers and it is FREE like they never charged me any fees at all! The funds were also delivered in a flash like literally in 2 seconds, which I've never experience before. I hope it'll stay this way. Thank you so much Sendwave!

The app originally did not have the capability for me to upload a photo of my ID. I had to call customer service, then put on hold until my call dropped. Finally able to make contact and my app was changed. I took photo of ID with the rep on the line and she said money would be transferred in minutes. It wasn't. Called back today, had to explain why I was sending money. Then, told all was well. I asked rep if anything else and she said photo wasn't clear. Had to send photos via email. Clumsy!!

This company is the BEST I have ever seen. They have time to talk with if any problem of sending money to help families. I hope and pray this company stay around forever. I had bad experiences with Western union and the rest. They never helpful. Rather, they make worse for you. I love SENDWAVE.!!!! Will of SENDWAVE is great at communicating with customers should something happen.

This app was fine when I started to use it but as time went on it's come to the point where I can't send anything now, always asks for proof of ID yet the app isn't able to take a picture of my ID, don't know what to do anymore so looking for alternatives

It's been 3 days now my money that suppose to be sent on minutes is still on process and I can't refund it either. I've email and contacted customer support but they stop responding. Atleast let me know what action you are doing so I will be assured that my money is safe.

Horrible apps. Don't ever use it. We tried sending money back home because the money is badly needed. We used this apps because according to the advertisement it was fast. We ended up refunding the money and wait for how many days before crediting back to my bank. Lots of alibis from the support. They told us there's wrong in the information that we enter in the apps, but we are using the same information in other remittance center. :( :( :(

Sendwave got the worst support center I ever encountered or dealt with in my life. I called several times and spoke with more than 15 support agents and still unable to solve the issue. I requested to speak to the supervisor more than four times on separate occasions. Told them to cancel the transaction and let me have my money back,but all the unprofessional agents telling me was that we will get back to you. * WORST SUPPORT AGENTS*

Changing my review after poor experience, I've sent some money on 13th of April today is 18th, still on the app shows processing, my account has been charged for the transaction but money did not get sent, I have phoned customer service 3 occasions now asking them send the money refund me, but still waiting

Tried signing up for the first and they send me a code through text message. I put in the code where required and it keeps saying error code. Like what? Is this app this terrible? Wow.

I have tried to add payment method but each time I try it kicks me out and says there is a bug . Uninstalled and tried again to no avail. Just kicks me out everytime
